Buyer Beware! They don't send the owl shown in the picture!The owl that I received was not the one pictured here. It is a snowy owl made by Wild Republic, but it looks very different. The spots are brown and not black. They are more of a natural snowy owl pattern, and aren't really spots at all. The face is not nearly as perfect, and the beak is gray. The owl is sitting, but the feet are different and it does not have talons.The owl that I received is extremely soft. I kept it because it was a gift, and I did not have time to find another one before the baby shower. I will say that if the correct picture had been shown, then I would have still considered buying the owl. My major disappointment stems from the fact that I was expecting the owl in the picture and I received a very different owl. 3Realistic owl, great for lessonsRealistic-looking snowy owl that is great for classroom lessons. (Looks like a female.) Pair with a book and craft for a fun time with pre-schoolers. 5I recommendWe bought two owls for our boys:1. Aurora World Miyoni Snowy Owl 11" Plush (actual size is about 9,5")2. Wild Republic Cuddlekins 12" Snowy Owl I do like both of them. I would have hard time to choose between two of them. We needed 2 similar (but not identical) owls as a present for our Harry Potter fans age 7 and 9.1. Aurora World Miyoni Snowy Owl 11" PlushThis toy is smaller size them listed (9,5 inches instead of 11), but very cute.Not as squishy as Wild Republic Cuddlekins 12" Snowy Owl. This owl has rather hard feet. It can be a positive - it stands very good , or negative - not as cuddly.I like the fur material a bit better from the mom's perspective. I wash my younger son's stuff animals in a washing machine regularly and this owl will do just fine in the washer and dryer.The cons: the stuffing could be a bit softer.2. Wild Republic Cuddlekins 12" Snowy Owl.This owl is so soft and huggable. It is very close to the size listed. It looks a bit dorkier then the Aurora World Miyoni Snowy Owl 11" Plush. The fur is really silky and nice to the touch but I do not believe it can stand much of the abuse and regular cleaning. The fibers are easy to pull out. It is not a big deal for my 9 y.o. since he is not use sleeping with stuffed animals and mostly going to keep it displayed on the shelf. 5Queen Sky.I like to buy my niece presents that are both fun and educational.When my niece opened it, she loved it. She named her Queen Sky.The "feathers" have a very slick and plush feel to them. The owl seems well constructed and is very soft. One or two of the "feathers" came off, but it doesn't look like a serious shedding problem.But most importantly, my niece loves it, and that's what really matters. 5Images are wrongI purchased this in hopes of the floppy wings, but again I got a completely different owl. This one has brown spots with scary yellow eyes. Kinda creeps me out. It's still good quality but I don't want it. This has happened 3x with wild republic so I think the images are all wrong 1Five StarsAmazingly detailed! 5awesome!My daughter wanted a snow owl for months after reading in school about snow owls. I came across this one and thought looked very cute and wanted bigger then 6 or 8in. When I recieved this in the mail, I am so glad I got this for my princess. The wings are huge and so realistic! It has the beans in it's butt so it will sit down ( my daughter loves to sit all her animals down to play with them). It also has beans in the top of the wings so she can pretend it's flying. This stuffed animal is the softest!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!! It does have a card attached to it that gives info about the real animal! The shipping was quick and no problems. I will go through them again, with having three kids and stuff animals being a must have! Yes, I played with the owl before hiding it until my daughter's birthday party. Will write on how my daughter (7yrs old) olves it, but know this will be one of her favorite stuffed animals. 5Pretty, but eyes are offEh, it's nice looking owl, but the eyes are not level (maybe mine is defective). When looking straight on, the eyes are not at the same spot. I'm a photographer and I was using this as a prop in a Harry Potter setup, and I didn't notice the eyes until I was editing the images. It was an easy fix in Photoshop, but it's definitely not something I was expecting to do. 3Perfect addition to a Harry Potter themed giftGot this owl as a part of my best friend's Harry Potter themed Christmas presents this year (half hand made, half purchased). I had the owl holding her Hogwarts acceptance letter and she LOVES it. :) Yes...we are technically grown ups at this point but we'll never be too old for Harry Potter and plushies. :) 5but my kids like that it can "breathe" when they hug it- so ...This owl is so soft and huggable. The head is turned completely to the side, which is a little weird when you look at it face on, but my kids like that it can "breathe" when they hug it- so it works. 5
