Fantastic puzzle; great idea to include standThis puzzle was the clear winner of about a half-dozen worked by my family over the Christmas break. The best part -- and something ALL puzzles should come with -- the included box stand! Well played, White Mountain. I uploaded a couple pictures of the stand in action. It's so simple... just a small cardboard piece that holds the lid of the box in place for all to view, but is something none of us had ever seen before.As to the puzzle itself, the colors are vibrant, the pieces perfectly cut and the different candy wrappers provided a bit of nostalgic fun, especially for the 'olds' who waxed poetic about candies long forgotten.It wasn't horrendously difficult either... the large variety of colors and fonts used in the different product packaging and logos made it relatively easy to hunt down where pieces should go. (Still took four of us a couple hours to get it all done.) The quality of the puzzle is great; the pieces are uniquely cut (and cleanly cut) enough that there's no mistaking whether a piece is "in" or not.I have since added several other White Mountain puzzles to my shopping cart; they'll be my go-to gift option at this price point and quality. 5Missing pieceThe puzzle was packed well and it was a Christmas gift for my gf's husband that we spent fun time doing it on their huge dining room table sadly there was one piece missing and being adults with no children we did make sure was not on the floor ~ the puzzle itself was gorgeous and well designed 3Great FunThis puzzle has the larger pieces but it is still challenging and very interesting. It is BIG- 30" by 24" and of good quality. There is no "poster" included so you have to use the box as a visual. I've seen this 1000 piece puzzle in a smaller size too. 5Neat PuzzleThis was great puzzle.All the pieces were well cut, with no ambiguity about whether the fit was correct or not. I liked the size, and the classic candy theme offered a lot of opportunity for conversation about trivia about candy history.This also was probably one of the easiest puzzles I've ever done, just because you can tell, instantly, where 99% of the pieces go. If you're looking for a really challenging puzzle, this is not for you, but my family enjoyed it quite a bit. 5Missing pieces AGAIN!!!!!I usually LOVE these puzzles. They are the subjects I love. I m finishing my basement with an antique look. I ordered this puzzle and finished it only to find one piece missing. Ordinarily, I wouldn t complain but I m going to be hanging it on the wall. So instead of complaining I bought the same one again. I stayed up til 3:30 this morning finishing it to MAKE SURE nothing would be missing, go wrong, etc... I wore a top that pieces would not stick to, I put it on my little green puzzle pad that I bought from them as well. I finally finished the puzzle only to find TWO PIECES missing!!!! That s over $30 wasted and HOURS between the two puzzles!!!! (I also bought a fun Halloween one (2 actually... one for my sister) years ago, and a piece was missing from that one too!!!) Back to this one, the worst part is... I NEED this puzzle up on the wall. So I m going to have to buy another one!!!! The puzzles are cut different so I can t use pieces.... After I get this straight I m going to have to go back to my old puzzle company and that makes me upset because I LOVE White Mountain prints. 1Nostalgia = YumWe had a really good time putting together this puzzle. We started on blazing hot Saturday afternoon and finished by Monday evening. I wish I would have set the timer to figure out how many hours we actually worked on it but didn't At various times through the day one or all four of us were around the puzzle looking for pieces. What made this one fun was the different candy wrappers. It was like a walk down memory lane to some of my youth. I think the kids learned a lot about us during this assembly. Now it's mounted and on my daughters wall in her room. What a fun puzzle to put together! Kids ages 7 & 11 worked on this. I'm not about to tell you our ages! 5This was such a fun puzzle! When one of us picked a wrapper ...Every year I bring a 1000 piece puzzle on our family vacation. There is always a small group of us that will crowd around the table and not leave until it is done, then there are the others that come in, put in a few pieces and leave. This was such a fun puzzle! When one of us picked a wrapper to work on we just called out - does anyone see any Mr. Goodbar pieces? And so went the teamwork. There was no part of the puzzle that was uninteresting. You know, when you buy something like an underwater scene and there is a huge part of the puzzle that is just plain blue? No one ever wants to work on that part, but with this puzzle everyone had a part to work on. The pieces were sturdy, well cut and a good size. The overall size of the puzzle was plenty big for about 8-10 of us to work on it at the same time. 5Awesome, hard puzzle.I've actually looked at this puzzle over the years, this particular one, because I've always wanted to get into puzzles and never have. I started looking at 5000 pieces because anything else would feel too easy (for someone who has done a puzzle now and then but like 300-500 pieces once or twice). I decided to go ahead and get this one. Took two of us 4-5 1-3 hour sessions to finish. This puzzle is hard and fantastic and a lot of fun and my glue is on the way to start the mounting process. Highly recommended, this was a lot of fun! I'm now on my second White Mountain puzzle and looking at their puzzles I just want to get all of them. This second one (cereal boxes) is A LOT harder though!!One thing I found the amusing kind of annoying is that MADE IN THE USA in the lower left corner obscures part of the picture. The first time we thought at first it was part of the puzzle. Now for the second one I know it's not part of the puzzle but it hides that area, and it's not that small. 5You can pick up full sections and easily put a full section into its proper location without ...I am an avid puzzle who does at least one puzzle a week. There is always a puzzle going on my living room coffee table. I prefer puzzles that are challenging, but not to the point that they are frustrating. Some puzzles really require alot of focusing and attention to detail. This is NOT one of those puzzles! If you pick up a piece and look at the box, you can tell almost immediately where it goes. This is the kind of puzzle that you want to build if you have just finished working on an extremely difficult puzzle and need your puzzle fix, but also need to decompress. Very little effort is required to work it. The pieces are quality cut and interlock well. You can pick up full sections and easily put a full section into its proper location without being concerned that the pieces will break.I could taste each of the candy bars in my mouth as I was putting each section together. I can remember eating so many of these candy bars and getting sick from eating too much. It brought back alot of good memories. 5Puzzles encourage Family Time...My family loves puzzles and candy!! Every Easter & Christmas I buy a game or puzzle for the whole family. I believe you gotta find ways to keep the kids interacting with the parents and each other as well as taking breaks from electronic devices. Games and puzzles stimulate conversation, take team-work, or offer friendly competition, and are usually educational or helping develop some kind of skills.We keep a puzzle on the dining room table and all take turns with putting it together. My daughter (now 17) and my husband are the puzzle lovers.They have been doing puzzles since she was around 5-year-old. Now-a-days they get competitive if they see one person popping in more pieces than themselves and they always rush to be the one who puts in the last piece. I think it's a memory they will always treasure.My hubby has never been partial to the 1000 piece puzzles or the difficult (all one color, etc) puzzles, but even though this is a 1000 piece the picture has enough varied colors and a fun picture, so he doesn't mind. We have several of these White Mountain Puzzles and enjoy that you can't finish them in 15 minutes, but they aren't so hard that they are frustrating. 5
