    Defective balloons, not all 500 were there. Dont buy!We bought these balloons to use in the pool with our preteens. First, my three kids tried to evenly divide them. We found out we were almost 20 balloons short in count. Second, of those there were 18 with some kind of hole in them. Some only had half of the balloon. Third. We have only blown up about 30 but 7 busted before even being thrown for the first time. Do not buy these :( 1Awesome balloons. We are filling 1500 water balloons for ...Awesome balloons. We are filling 1500 water balloons for an epic end of school year battle. We bought one bag of these balloons and someone donated a bag of other (inferior) balloons. These balloons are strong, stretchy and bouncy when you fill them. A few had pin holes but it was a very small percentage. We didn't count the balloons so we may have still wound up with 500 filled balloons per bag. The directions say to fill to the size of a tennis ball. We have been filling them and setting them in 5 gallon buckets with enough water to float the upper balloons and they've held for three days.The donated, inferior balloons do not stretch, had around 15% fail rate (pinholes and rips in balloons) and carried a warning to not fill over 1 3/4" diameter - those are tiny water balloons and were seriously difficult to tie. They don't stretch enough to make a knot. Being able to compare the two types of balloon made us appreciate these stretchy balloons even more. I went back to Amazon and bought a second bag of these Water Sports balloons because they are so great.The free fill spout is a different matter. It works fine if you ignore the turn knob. My thumb was bruised after a half hour from having to push so hard on the little lever to turn the water off between balloons while I tied them. Once we teamed up and left the water running, all was well. I bought the Tie Not water balloon tying tool - 2 pack to use with the balloons. I cringed at the price for two little sticks of plastic but they work really well.The speedy process was: I slipped a balloon onto the nozzle while the hose ran gently, let the balloon fill to tennis ball size, then slipped it off the nozzle and passed it to my partner to tie while I slipped on the next balloon. We filled and tied over 200 an hour and that was with some lack of coordination. We filled them over a bucket to catch the water between balloon fills.If you are planning an epic battle, I highly recommend these balloons. 5Break easy but good number for priceBreaks very easy. Playing catch in grass wouldn't work well unless made very tiny. I got them for a birthday and there really are a lot of them, to where even when they break there are still plenty that hold up long enough to have some fun. Use the spout that comes with it. The opening to these are larger than the other brand ones I bought so my other little spout didn't work with these. 4Not what we neededThese balloons popped if I filled them too quickly or too full, & were difficult to tie because of their size. Some had a holes, but not as many as I would have thought considering the price. The only way my kids could really play with these was if I filled them to about the size of an egg and then the little balloons bounced! Crazy. There wasn't much a middle ground with these. We bought 2 packs and didn't use the entire first pack because of the cons, & the other bag was never used. In the future, I'll spend a bit more money for a bit more reliable fun. 3 stars and not less because they aren't completely useless for everyone. They'd be great for relay races or for younger kids with very tight grips, etc. where a small, slightly durable water balloon is needed. They simply didn't work for us. 3Would not buy again.Balloons were very low quality. Not even half worked. Ripped before you fill and if you could get water in it, broke as soon as you touched them. Also had white spots all over (looked like bleach stains on clothing). At first we thought it was on purpose, maybe they were tie-dyed something. Nope. Just utter junk. If you could get one to start to fill, anything much bigger than an egg would burst if you breathed on it. 1Economical and great fun!These are great economical water balloons! I've only had two break out of couple hundred, and some have to be thrown more than once. My two boys (2.5 and 4 years old) love them and so do their friends. The hose attachment is also surprisingly high quality and I love the valve that turns so there's not a constant stream of water. It takes time to tie these individually, but it's a classic summertime activity that's fun for all ages-at a great cost! 5Overall Great Purchase!Overall great product! We had very few issues with holes or torn balloons! The nozzle did eventually really start to hurt my fingers from turning it on and off though. A smoother design or a helped would have made these much easier to do!However, we had a blast with these! Kiddos and Adults had a KILLER water balloon fight! 4Good balloonsFaucet adapter isnt the best quality so be careful when attaching it. The balloons work great and wont bust too easy if filled properly (size of a tennis ball). About 1 in 40-50 is a dud (broken balloon) but thats not too bad considering those bunchy balloons almost always have half of them bust while filling. Go for these and not the waste of money bunchy balloons 4Good balloon for balloon tossThis is a review of Water Sports Water Balloons Refill Kit (500 balloons).There are good water balloons, and there are bad water balloons. Good ones are easy to fill and only a few break or have holes. Bad water balloons are impossible to tie, are mostly broken, and are just plain no fun. Each summer I think I tie about ten thousand water balloons, and I've gotten to be rather particular in water balloon quality and have developed a keen eye on identification of a good balloon and one that'll soak me while filling it up. The Water Sports Water Balloons are in the good water balloon category. They have nice long necks that are easily stretched to tie. They are hard enough that they can sit on grass and not pop when filled. Out of the pack of 500, I had at most 15 that had pin holes or were otherwise unfillable. That's a pretty good ratio in my opinion.The only concern of note with these balloons is there size. These balloons are not suited to make big water balloons that can soak a four year old with a single balloon. They are more like hand size balloons, like a slightly overstuffed baseball or a hand grenade. They also tend to bounce, which is really good for balloon toss but not for big kids throwing balloons at little kids (ouch!). In the last batch, the kids I filled them for starting to use them as baseballs after a few got hit by a not so soft balloon. 4Great ValueWe buy these at the top of every summer. They are great for bringing to the park and last all summer. Some will break prior to being blown up.... but they re water balloons. The price is still great for the amount of water balloons you get. 5
