BROKEN AFTER ONE DAYI ordered this because my seven month old loves to grab my phone. I have a pink case on my phone and ordered her the pink phone. I ve never seen her smile so much because of a toy. We got it around 5pm yesterday and she was so proud of it. She played with it for an hour very lightly (no dropping) last night and a few hours today off and on and now the touch screen doesn t work. It worked fine last night but now just keeps telling us to dial the buttons or press play for more music but nothing happens anymore when we do. For the price, this is very upsetting. She s too young to care or understand that it s not working but it s very frustrating that it won t play music anymore and none of the apps work. I d like to send it back but I threw away the original package last night. I don t expect these types of toys to last forever but certainly more than one day because $13 bucks for a plastic box that does nothing is pretty ridiculous. 1I will say it's better than the kids toy flip phonesThe "swiping" is misleading. My 1 year old is obsessed with cell phones so I got him this for Christmas. The swipe feature is simply a lever at the bottom of the screen to change back and forth between one picture and another. I was hoping this was more high tech to keep his interests but no such luck. I will say it's better than the kids toy flip phones. 3Very fun, very tough and way cooler than I expected!I love this toy phone. My twins just turned two and this was one of their gifts. I knew I didn't want to get them a REAL electronic device, even though they love "playing" on everyone else's phone and tablet. They're still young enough to be entertained by a toy, and this one is perfect. First of all, it's TOUGH. They're still at that age where throwing things is fun and this phone has already flown down the stairs and across several rooms and it's still perfect. Secondly, it's just FUN. It lights up, it sings, it rings, it says cheese and makes a camera shutter sound. The screen is hard plastic, so I assumed all the "apps" underneath were just decorative, but I was wrong. It actually responds to touch, so your child can select an "app" and it plays a different game with them (no, the screen doesn't change, but it starts games like "press the frog" or whatever). Also, when you slide the slider to the music player screen, you can touch the play/pause/fwd buttons on the screen and control the music. I was truly surprised at just how cool this toy phone is. Even my older kids pick it up and play with it. It's reasonably priced, fun and tough. What more can you ask for? 5Great investment to keep the little one off my phoneI was tired of my baby trying to eat my cell phone. While it didn't work so great, she seems to like it. Only thing I wish there was a lower volume setting!Update:Thought it ended up breaking because it was looping and wasn't really responsive but it ended up it just needed a battery change, it's amazing how durable it is! This thing can really take a beating! She's had it for over a year and the amount of drool during her teething phase and the amount of times it's been thrown during a fit and it still works great.I review my products because I base my purchase decisions on reviews and there is nothing worse than getting something other than what you expected based on the reviews you read, so I ll always try to give the facts about the product first followed by my personal opinion.If you find my reviews helpful to your purchase, please click yes below. 4Fun for toddlerWe ve had 2 of these and our grandchild enjoys them greatly. My only issue is that after a while they seem to lose their programming and stop playing all the assorted sounds. They will still work but wil play the same sound over and over again. 4Perfect learning toy for baby/toddlersMy toddler has had this phone for almost an entire year and it still works perfectly.There is so much to do with this toy that it never gets boring. I love that it is a small, handheld toy that can easily slip into a diaper bag as a fun toy when baby gets bored while we are out. The voices on this phone are completely obnoxious and I have never found a volume switch, but luckily the volume isn't too loud to begin with so it is tolerable...plus my kid loves it.This phone is very touch sensitive so it is easy for tiny fingers to push the buttons they want to play with. One really cute feature is that you can program your phone number into this phone. I can see where this would be a great learning tool for learning a parents phone number for younger kids. There are multiple interactive games like "touch the flashing light".The second screen option is like a mini i-pod that plays different kid song tunes and instrumental noises. The screen also lights up while it plays music which is so fun!We actually loved this toy so much that we donated quite a few to a local childrens hospital because it is very easy to clean and makes an easy toy to play with when a child needs to be sitting still. 5They don't work like they are supposed toI bought this twice actually, once for my nephew and once for my daughter. Unfortunately they BOTH broke. They don't work like they are supposed to. They just flash and play the same tune over and over again. Very disappointed because it's a super cute idea. It would have been a great toy if it did what it was supposed to. If I had known my nephews broke, I wouldn't have bought the second one for my daughter! 1Doesn't last and uses batteries quicklyThis was a cute toy for the few weeks that it lasted. It broke pretty quickly and before it broke, it went through batteries very quickly! The touch screen feature wasn't the easiest to manage as opposed to individual buttons. I ended up replacing it with the Fisher Price smart phone which has lasted much longer and functions better. I would not recommend this product.Pros:1) The product is large so it is easy for a young child to hold.2) The slider on the bottom goes between the main "app" screen and the music screen. There are several songs that play when in the music mode and each button on the app side has a different sound. For example, there is an email button and a weather button.Cons:1) The product goes through batteries very quickly. My daughter wasn't even playing with the toy for extended periods of time and it still drained batteries.2) The phone broke too easily when you consider the fact that it is a children's toy. It should be able to withstand small drops and bumps; however after a few times of her dropping it, it finally broke.3) The buttons are just areas on a large screen to touch as opposed to individual buttons to push. My daughter loves pushes actual buttons. 1Broke after 10 daysWe got it 10 days ago and it already broke. 1Complete Junk!! Only have one star, as you don t have an option to NO stars! Very very disappointed, DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS !!!My 1 year grand daughter is obsessed with phones, so I thought this would be a great accessory for her bday car/wagon when we are walking or heading to the park. This phone straight out the box does NOT do anything it describes! Touch screen does not work, if an adult can t push/touch the buttons for use then how can a baby/toddler/child?? It says you can record, again no. Please watch the video....complete junk, disappointing as VTech use to be, the toy to buy!!! When raising my kids, VTech was so expensive, but didn t mind paying it, as they always did as described and my kids loved them. I even have a few VTech toys from 20+ years ago that still work as perfect as the day we purchased...now a days, hardly nothing from VTech works! (We ll see if this post/video even makes it to the review section!I give this a complete And a 0 Rating! 1
