We Love Us Some UnoUno at the pool was fun this summer. But beware these suckers are slippery to shuffle and stick when wet aaand be careful not to drop them on a rough surface because when picking them up the paint on them can stratch and perminently damage the card. Other than that I love that I can play drinking games with them or play Uno with my family anywhere, even the pool. 3Great Durable SetI like cards made of plastic instead of paper. Much more durable and kind of fun to have transparent cards. Our set came with a plastic ring. The ring is very difficult to open and get the deck of cards on. It works if you patiently place a few cards on at a time while prying the plastic apart. I prefer to use a large metal ring or just put them in a plastic baggie. I am looking forward to using these cards during our travels this summer and won't worry about them getting dirty or wet. They are bendable and I believe that is the biggest danger to them since plastic isn't forgivable if bent, it will stay bent. 5Cool Pool Game FunThese cards are so much fun in the pool. Took them on vacation and had a lot of inquiries as to where we got them. They do not float but we used the top to our ice chest as a table and it worked perfectly. They are completely waterproof, though. Hours of fun. 5Very sturdy cards. A good purchase!Very sturdy uno Cards with a great new clip design.We had a Set of waterproof uno cards (got them because they are plastic and looked like they would survive my young kids, not because we had any plans to use them in the waters) however over the past year they were well loved and well used and we lost many of them.Got this new set as a replacement and the design has improved a lot. This version has a hole in the top and you can use a built in clip to keep them all attached when not in use- thus you don t lose the cards! Amazing! 5Never going back to paper cards again!THESE. CARDS. ARE. AMAZING.I originally had an Uno card game set in paper form from last Christmas, and they are already showing wear and tear after frequent use. With these, even after 10 games, they are still in immaculate condition. Keep in mind that I play with my baby brothers and cousins! Makes a perfect game for socializing, interacting with family, or stimulating your brain!My only complaint (not sufficient enough to take off a star) is that the included plastic clip is not really helpful to hold all of the cards. Instead, use a metal carabiner or a Ziploc bag. Done!Enjoy UNO and carry on, fellow Amazonians! 5Super convenient to carry aroundWell, I'm a fan overall. These are easy to tote around with the hole in the corner. I use a separate binder ring because the plastic one that's included is 100% terrible. These can be a little slippery, but I've noticed over time they're a little better and easier to handle as more people have come in contact with them. It took a little getting used to since these don't have the words for 'draw 2" or "reverse" and the like. That said, the numbers are large and easy to read, and the game is a hit with everyone. It's a classic that never gets old! 4Fun game for the waterWe love these! This is actually the second set I have bought because my extended family loves them too and has forever "borrowed" our last set. We take these everywhere and they have held up perfectly - in hot tubs, pools, beaches, boats, parks, you name it they have gone. We especially like that whenever we bring them, other folks want to play so it makes sharing a pool or hot tub a more social (read: less awkward) activity. The cards are well constructed and are definitely water proof. They can be submerged because they are made out of a thin plastic. We also haven't had any issues with the print coming off or showing wear and tear. The individual cards will float momentarily if placed horizontally but will sink if the water's surface tension is broken or they are vertical. So we don't use them directly in the lake/ocean water because there is nowhere to put the discard pile and the risk of losing cards is high but in the pool, hot tub or beach this isn't a concern. I highly recommend these for anyone that loves UNO and water activities! 5PerfectI'd seen these cards in the past and never purchased them, which I fully regretted. My husband and I were going to the Philippines for 2 weeks and I happened to remember these on one of our game nights. Thankfully Amazon came though and had them to offer. I am so pleased with them. If you ever go to the beach or pool these are a must if you love Uno. We played it in the pool multiple times and it worked great. If you're using the edge of the pool as a table, you have to position the cards just right to stop them from floating away. The trick is to firmly place the card on the ledge (or whatever in-water platform you're using) and get all the air bubbles out, we did this by sort of wiggling the cards when we put it down, almost like rubbing them together. Took a couple tries but once we got it figured out, we were golden as you will be! Very happy with the purchase :) 5Ink rubs offThe cards are not actually laminated. The ink is printed on the outside of a plastic surface. Our pebble sheen pool rubs off the ink on the faces, so after 2 mos, we can barely read the numbers anymore. I wish they were like the spot it cards which are laminated. Disappointed. 2Idea is Great, Quality can be ImprovedWe've been working on a summer collection for the pool, and games for the older crowd are a bit difficult to find. I was thrilled to find this waterproof version of UNO, but it's been a bit of a disappointment. The idea is great, but the quality is really lacking compared to the standard UNO game. The cards are made of paper thin plastic and were stuck together in large chunks straight out of the box. (Makes me think temperature during shipping probably affected them, which would be a significant concern at the pool or the beach, too.) Separating them wasn't too difficult. Once that was done, I put them on the (low quality, easily separated) plastic hook and threw them in the pool bag. We haven't even used the cards yet, but when I took them out today, one of the cards had already torn off of the ring. Fortunately, there are two ring holes on each card, so we were able to reattach it. However, given that this has happened already, it definitely isn't something rugged enough to throw in the bag. We'll keep it at home or in the car until we know for sure it's needed. Again, the game looks great, but the quality doesn't seem durable enough for an outside game. 3
