Hornbeam (sometimes known as Ironwood) is mostly white and used for intricate and decorative carvings. Sycamore offers a dark brown, smooth textured wood, perfect for the dark pieces. The folding chess board is 21.75\"x 21.75\" (21.75\" x 11\" x 2.5\"\" when folded) and decorated on the borders for display at home or in the office.
