Customer Reviews

this is the best option for youIf you need new driveshafts, this is the best option for you! I've used both MIP's in the past and never liked them. Had these M6 shafts on my SCTe and they would go a full season without service and only slight wear on the outdrives (I'm easy on throttle too but they still out lasted everying I've owned in the past). When I built a backslash 4x4 recently, I went with these shafts and have never looked back. Tekno may not be a large company because their young but they build the best products I've used thus far and have terrific customer service. Not to mention the lifetime warranty on thieir M6 shafts. 5A must purchase for any Stampede 4x4 owner. For referance I have both the Tekno and MIP X-duty driveshafts.I installed these on my Stampede 4x4 and I have to say that I really prefer these over the MIPs. I run my Stampede on 3s Lipos and have pushed it just as hard as on the MIPs and have yet to break them. The Teknos are considerably lighter and has less intricate parts. The reason i bought these and replaced my MIPs is because I was having issues with the MIPs coming apart while running the truck. The cross pins would slide out and the two halves of the shafts would separate. These cross pins come in a 4 pack and usually cost about $10 shipped I honestly have spent about $30 just on these cross pins until I bought these Tekno's. One draw back I can see is that these Tekno's come with their on specially designed Hub Carriers. This means you cant use any after market hub carrier that you might already have installed or plan on buying. I was still using the stock ones so I didn't find it to be of any concern. I have yet to break one yet and they seem common enough on the internet that it wouldn't be hard to get a replacement. 5This has probably been one of my favorite upgrades for my slashThis has probably been one of my favorite upgrades for my slash. The fit is great and you can really tell the tolerances are close which gives it a really solid feel. My stock axles were starting to bend at the yoke and normal usage. If you are using a 3s battery I'd really recommend to upgrade to these axles, 5Fantastic!Since the purchase of my Slash brushless I have been breaking drive shafts almost every time I used the truck. To fix Traxxas's incompetence to design a truck to be used with a 3s lipo and plastic drive shafts, I did my research and found a lot of talk on the Tenko set up. Having a Slash Platinum I was hesitant because I had to remove the beautiful aluminum wheel hubs that came with the truck and use the ones in the kit. After installing I realized that these have an inner bearing that's twice the size of the stock and a much tighter fit within the bearings and eliminate a lot of drive train slop. They also come with 2 sets of hubs that give you toe adjustment and much more options for suspension adjustments. Best upgrade you can do to eliminate headaches! 5Great overallGreat driveshaft, able to handle fast high traction acceleration on 3s lipo. Only thing is that long dried grass or something similar gets wrapped around the driveshafts, not a huge deal though. 4FinallyNo more broken plastic pieces I don't know why I didn't do this sooner this upgrade is a must if u plan on running 3s+ got too tires pf buying all the replacement stubs with this solid system it's on there ain't nothing getting bent twisted or broken off it was between these and mip x but I got front and back for the price of only one pair of mip do the math= common sense 5Great kit for 3S battery runsUse these on my Very powerful in stampede velineon VXL 4x4. Bought this kit to replace the stock plastic ones that wore down due to 3S battery use. This kit was fairly easy to install and gives you several options as to toe, camber, etc. Being able to adjust these settings helped tremendously in reducing roll overs. This kit should last forever. 5THESE DO NOT WORK ON RUSTLERSThese are not long enough to fit on the traxxas rustler vxl, they work great on y2k stampede 4x4, dispite having the same a-arms, the output on the rustler is farther away from where the a-arm attaches making them too short, i wish they did fit because they work great on my stampede 4Best CVD's Out There!Love Love Love these CVDs!!! Tekno is one of the best companies I have ever had to deal with. This is one of those no brainers. These shafts routinely hold up to 4S power with no problems. The only thing I want to tell you is DO NO RUN RPM CONTROL ARMS!!! That is directly from Tekno. The RPM plastic is known to flex so much that they will bend the driveshafts. I run the stock arms and they are much better IMO. Very rare that I break one and if I do its becase I smashed into something. Don't get me wrong I love RPM, but NOT in this application. I had the RPM A-Arms on my STRC LCG Slash 4x4 race truck and i was always adjusting camber/toe it would seem after every race everything would change. I blame it on the very flexible material they use. Very good in some areas, but bad in others. Since going back to stock its perfect. These CVD's are designed in a way that captures the hinge pins, The rear carriers offer much more adjustment then stock, and they are super beefy I have NEVER broken one, nor have I even seen a broken rear Tekno carrier. Buy them already you will not regret it. 5Excellent!I bought and installed these on a 2WD Slash in preparation for a brushless motor and 3S Lipo upgrade. Install was a bit tricky but in the end enjoying getting these installed and setup. Results were well worth it and have to say I am very pleased with these. I used locktite where needed during the install as recommended in the instruction sheet that came with them and have not had any issues. 5
