    Cool stocking stufferMy 8 year old son is obsessed with tornados so this is awesome. Not only does it look like a tornado but it gives information on the side about tornado sizes which my son was really excited about also 5Very disappointed! Not new, crack in side, not in original packagingSupposed to be new but arrived not packaged in an original box but a plastic bag just marked "new" and the barcode on the bottom of the tube is scribbled out. It also has a huge crack in the side. This was going to be a birthday gift and I cannot give this damaged and obviously not new item! 1Just no.You're better off with a soda bottle, glitter and an actual upgrade of some food coloring. Trust me it will do a much better job than this product and cost you way less. This thing should be priced at 2 dollars max. It doesn't work well, you can see the word print from the back of the bottle over the picture of a tornado in the cheap plastic bottle. That blue in the advertising is just a picture in the background. Don't waste your money. 1For the little tornado expert in your life.My five year old is fascinated with natural disasters (tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes erupting, you get the picture) but tornadoes will always top the list of being the natural disaster that he finds the most interesting. Like most kids at this age, he is extremely curious and wants to know everything about whatever he is interested in. How does a tornado form? Where does it come from? What is it made out of? Yep... he is a tornado expert now. The only thing missing from his life was having a PET TORNADO! Haha... I was really pleased to find this on Amazon and purchased it with realistic expectations.My son was thrilled to receive it and we enjoyed reading the information on the back. Then came creating the actual tornado. When it arrived it had plenty of the foamy bubbles to create some impressive little tornadoes. Of course, you have to "swirl" it to get the tornado effect (because they are rotating columns of air, as my little tornado expert would point out). It's very easy to master the technique, and my son was creating his own tornadoes in no time. My son also found out that in addition to being able to create tornadoes with this, you can also create hurricanes by doing a shaking and swirling combination lol. After the first day, when he slept with it safely placed on his headboard, we noticed the next morning that the foam had settled a good bit. Turns out all you have to do is shake it and they come right back, so it looks like after having it for 9 days now that there isn't a danger of the foam disappearing permanently. I'll update if it does, but so far as good. For the price this really is a neat gift to a child, especially to one who loves natural disasters. 5Yes, you DO have to shake it up!Folks, let's be honest here--If you think this thing will constantly make "tornadoes" without any effort on your part, you are sadly mistaken.This toy has been around for decades. Yes, it's just a tube of water, glitter and a bit of soap, but that's how it's always been.I had one of these as a kid (and picked it back up here for nostalgia sake). You would often see these right next to sheets of liquid crystal and mood rings in any Science Center or Museum Gift Shop.If you want to see an easy "tornado", you can grab a battery-powered mixer glass for dirt cheap and use that, or simply your home blender. Another option is the little "Tornado Tube" you use with 2x two liter bottles. Those were fun, but bulky. 4My son loves itMy seven year-old son is obsessed with Tornadoes and had to have this product. It is a bit small but we continue to feed and water it. When it get's big enough we plan to release it in a trailer park. 5Peace of mindI actually purchased this for a guy who has autism and intillectual disabilities! He is non verbal, so it's hard to understand him at times. When he would get agitated, this would calm him! Certainly worth every penny! 5My son loves this product! Problem was the same sticker was placed across the front. When we took it off, it left glue all over it. Wasn't necessary. Luckily WD-40 cleaned it right up. 4Neat little toy!My baby brother (5) has recently started obsessing with tornadoes and my husband and I thought this would be a hit with him. We were right, he brings this everywhere he goes, and has already found the 'right way' to make a tornado. I waited some time before posting a review to make sure the bubbles inside didn't dissipate. They along with the glitter are still there as they were the first day we received it. No matter how often you shake it, you're guaranteed a cool little tornado in the palm of your hand! 5It Ain't Trix! (... because adults can have fun with it too..... get it????)I have now owned my pet tornado for a few years. The sticker is starting to peal, and what ever they had inside is starting to fog a little. Can't get the twister going as strong as I use to be able, however this has provided years of fun sitting on my desk.... oh and I'm a 30 year old professional so.... not just for kids.~~~UPDATE 10-18-2015 (4 YEARS LATER)~~~My Pet Tornado is still here with me. We have moved a few times over the years but there he is with me by my side. Better than a dog, this I know from experience, becouse so far my pet tornado has not died leaving me hear broken!
