Infinite possibilities!! We bought the 300 piece kit. This product is so well done. Simple but flexible. I can play this with all my kids, which are from 6 to 11 y/o. The limit is your mind. The only thing that would be great to have is connectors that allow other angles. So, manufacturer, if you are reading, an add on of jacks with different angles would be awesome! 5Very flimsyI was very excited to receive this product and give it as a gift. I helped the child assemble a structure, which took about 30 minutes. And then proceed to place a light sheet over it, when it fell completely flat to the ground. I decided instead to just allow the kids to sit inside the structure, however it would not stand on its own. I would not recommend this product. 1Best money spent!This is the best money I've spent in a while!!! My 3 year old LOVES these. I was only slightly disappointed because I wanted to built forts, throw small blankets on it and stuff, but the straws aren't steady enough. So, it's just fun to build. Keeps the kid entertained for hours. 5Super!!I am using this in my advisory class at my school. Is the class that meets 15 minutes per day and we talk about responsibility and things such as reflection and relationships. I like to create things and have them create things and this is the perfect way for students to really engage with each other and have fun doing it! They work cooperatively and thoroughly enjoy it. What is also good as this is very easy to take apart and to store! I was so loving this that I order another set! Could not be happier! 5Awesome open-ended toy!These have been a huge hit in my kindergarten classroom! They inspire the kids to work together, and they make massive and creative structures! I have found that they run out of straws before connectors, but the tiny connector pieces do tend to get lost so it s probably good that there are extras! Considering how cheap they are, I think this is an awesome toy! I ll probably buy them as gifts in the future. 5Very flimsySave your money. The first thing kids want to do is create a "fort". Once the wire frame is completed, it would seem natural to drape a sheet over it. WRONG. Even the smallest structures fall down. While building the forms is educational ....... they are not rigid enough be "played" with. 1A GREAT choice to promote creative play - easy to use, sturdy, and come with a storage bag!My toddler LOVES these - they are a fantastic creative play toy, and the quantity/quality for the price CANNOT be beat (and believe me, we looked around before buying these)... She got a small package of "Monkey Stix" with her Fingerling monkey for Christmas, and loved building with them - but there were 20 straws and 20 connectors, so she could not build much. I'm a fan of imagination play, so went looking for more - the actual Monkey Stix she had received were more expensive for that 40-piece pack than this set was for 300 pieces, so it was a no-brainer which I would try. I was a bit nervous, wasn't sure the pieces would all work together or that the quality would be high, given the low price, but as soon as we received them every worry flew away. These are actually a bit sturdier than the originals she had, and they came in a great plastic zippered bag for storage. Not only do these encourage her to build novel constructions, they help her learn patience and perseverance - these are, after all, plastic straws and there are inherent limits as to their flexibility. Sometimes they pop apart because she's tried to force them into a bizarre, gravity- and physics-defying form - but because there are so many pieces (and they are plastic straws, and can be cut into smaller pieces if you want even more parts/sizes for different creations) and because they are so easy for small hands (and larger, mom-sized ones), the fix is usually manageable, teaching not only patience/perseverance but also creative problem solving. 5Uneven amount of straws versus jacksFinally took it out to play. The toy itself was great and the kids loved playing with it but the split between straws and jacks are not even. We ran out of straws (couldn t complete our tent) but have a ton of jacks left over. Pic shows how many jacks we have left over compared to straws. 2Five StarsWhat a fun activity. My kids and I just love it. Hours of fun, endless building possibilities. 5Great Constructive ToyPurchased for my 5 year old identical twin Granddaughters as a reward for listening/responding. They enjoyed the straws greatly. The picture is the final joined toy made by them by bedtime at their house. As the reader can see, the kit makes great housing for dolls and stuffed animals. 5
