    Better than expected; not tough built.Better than I expected. I used it as part of my Halloween Costume and the sounds and lights made the saber hold up in appearance to one I bought for my husband from a site that builds to order, and thus way more expensive. This saber however did not stand up to my 4 yr old and husband having a saber fight. So do not buy it if you really want something a kid can whack! 5It was the 3-year old's favorite birthday giftThe lights and sounds it makes are amazing! It makes sounds as you wave it and just hums the rest of the time. The light/sounds lasted quite a while too...I think a month or so! Although we didn't allow much "combat fighting" or hitting anything with it. It's a deal for lasting that long and for the amount of amusement it provided. 5Nice and loud light sabre.Sabre is nice and loud. Color is good. My son is in love with it. Sabre is for show and not for contact battle with another sabre. I can tell that it will not hold up or be able to stand hard contact with another object but with the exception of that it is a great toy. 4Fun for a couple days or less.Received item really fast & as described. Purchased due to other good reviews. Item does have good sound and light. These do not last very long though. These lasted only 3days w/ my 10 year old twins. They had a lot of fun with them, but they are not build to last. The first thing they asked is if I got them from the dollar store. I'll rate this 5 for the entertainment factor & the service on delivery, but a 1 for the quality of the product. 2MehThese really are not the quality to last for any length of time. If our kids are going to have saber battles - forget it. 3Nice toyI finished watching Star Wars with my kids. The movie opened their mind to a big universe and new ideas for games. I decided to search around and get them two of these. Here the summary:- The buttons are a bit tricky but you will figure out. The first one is the master on/off, the second is the push on/off. The master needs to be on for the second to work.- The sword changes colors when you shake it.- I don t think these swords will endure the type of fights that you see in Star Wars. They are fragile so a good hit will send them to the recycle bin.- Sounds are so much alike to the movie. 5I think this is a good deal. I'm never sure why people expect high ...For the price and the "special effects", I think this is a good deal. I'm never sure why people expect high quality materials for next to nothing. Yes, this is a bit fragile, but if kids are careful with it, it can be a fun toy. That being said, my daughter's broke the first time she used it as a true toy . . . because one of her older brothers was pretending to use his "Force powers" and tossed a giant piece of martial arts equipment at it, snapping the saber in half. Sigh. So I will be ordering her another one (to be paid for by the sibling). I will say, that my sons all have other ones that also make noise and light up, but those drain batteries terribly. I was a Jedi and my infant was Darth Vader so perfect for pictures considering it has three color settings. It wasn't quite as flimsy as I thought it might be. Very loud sound effects.There are two buttons on the saber but only one seems to work. Not sure what the other is for as there was not manual or instruction booklet. 4
