The cheerleader costumes fit my 5 and 6 year old girls perfect. Though the sizes are a little small, so make sure you order them a size or two bigger than your child's age, so that it fits. The material might be a bit itchy for some girls just like my daughters, so I would recommend to put them an under shirt and that makes it much better for them. Also, this costume does not include the Barbie pom poms, so make sure you order them at the same time, they cost about $3-$5 brand new. Overall, the price was great, and was very amazed by how quickly I received this shipment in the mail. I am very satisfied and have no complaints at all. 5NOT As DescribedDescription (and image of child wearing it) indicate it will fit a child of about a size 5-6, but it would only fit a skinny toddler. I liked this and the price was what drew me to purchasing this one. I should have known because it is cheap "made-in-a-sweatshop" junk. As soon as it got out of the package I could tell it wouldn't last very long. Sure enough, after one day of play the seams started coming apart. Luckily, my German grandmother worked as a seamstress in a factory for many years, and reinforced the seams- it is sturdy and I can wash this without worrying about it coming apart after a washing. 2Pleased with Quality and SizingThis item was a birthday present to my granddaughter for her 6th birthday. I was very concerned about the size, since I ordered a small. My granddaughter is very small in size, but taller than most. The appearance of the cheer-leader costume is very deceiving when you first see it. You tend to think it is too small until you see that the back has elastic in the waist area.. I even contemplated ordering another size just for a backup, which would have been unnecessary since the costume was a good fit. I will have to say that the size chart made available for ordering was a great help.The quality of the material was satisfactory also. The colors were very nice and overall I was glad to have purchased the costume. I was even, able to find a cheer-leader costume for her doll that would complement my granddaughters cheerleader costume. 5Thumbs Up!I bought this for my 2 year old daughter to wear for Halloween this year & it was a PERFECT fit! This costume fits fine and does NOT run small.The medium fits like a 7/8. I read other reviews and was under the impression that this outfit ran small. However, my six-year-old daughter was swimming in the size medium. She normally wears a size 5/6 and from the other reviews I figured I would order her a size medium. Size small would have been just fine for her.I would say size small fits like a 4 6 and a size medium fits like a 7-8. 4
