Customer Reviews

Finally! Been wanting these dogs for 40 years! As a child my family would travel the NY State Thruway during vacations. A vending machine was always strategically placed on the way to the restrooms and I always stopped to check out all the cool things available. The coolest of all was always the Scottie tricky dogs! They were only a quarter I asked for them each time we stopped. But my dad always said no. (And then made me crawl under the stall door and open it from the inside so he didn't have to pay a dime for the stall use - so I guess denying your kid a 25 cent toy was not such a surprise! And yes, back in "the day" you had to pay to use the stalls.) When my wife heard the story she ordered these for me. They are just as much fun as I imagined they would be as a child. VERY happy with this product. 5Awesome Boring GameThis is one of the silliest games imaginable and I love it for that. I originally found this in an Amish supermarket and found it absolutely hilarious just how cute, wholesome and low-tech this game is. It's a brilliant invention, reminds me of my childhood obsession with magnets. But now has dogs! Great. 5Don t waste your money like I didNot only are these ridiculously small, but they don t even repel. Total bust. Buyer beware they re also not eligible for return. That s some trick alright. 1Very Well Made - Lots of Nostalgic FunA few years before he passed away, my father bought me a set of these at a novelty shop in Pittsburgh. I was about 6 years old. I played with them for hours and hours, just fascinated by the "spooky action at a distance" between the two dogs. They were long among my treasured possessions. Somehow over the years the dogs got lost, much to my disappointment. So when I saw these I just had to buy them to remind me of that special outing with my father. These magnetic dogs are now just as much fun as they were a half century ago. 5Not worth a dollar....Basically, this is a 1.00 dollar item, and so small, I believe they would be a serious choking hazard. i was in a rush to pick out an inexpensive gift for a kid, and these tiny magnets are really just junk. Needles to say I am not gifting these. There goes ten bucks. I honestly would have had more fun burning the money to light cigars. Live and learn. 1Cant go wrong, would buy againTotally worth it for my grand-daughters ! They are tiny; both of them fit in a matchbox from the 60's.Worth it for me also ! You can't go wrong here, you really can't go wrong if this is the type of thing that blows yer dress up. I love them. 5Super tiny and not much fun. These are really tiny and don't work that well. We thought you could kind of maneuver the magnets around and make the dogs "play" but when they get near each other, they just zoom together and that's it. Not much fun. 2Cute, Very SmallThese are adorable. I'm a Scottie dog owner, and I have a few Scottie novelty items in my home. I'm also a big fan of little "desktop" toys. These are tiny, about an inch long each, but they're a fun addition to my little collection of toys displayed on my shelves and end table in the living room. My kids get a kick out of them as well. 4A Piece of ChildhoodMy grandfather carried a set of tricky dogs in his suit pocket to keep my father, as a young boy, entertained during church. My father carried those same tricky dogs in his pocket to keep us entertained in church as kids. Somewhere along the line they got lost. One day my father was describing them to my daughter and we decided to see if they were still made. In steps Amazon. My 11 year daughter used some of her birthday money to buy a set and she LOVES them. We plan on buying another set for my nephew. 5Any child that ever owned these two little dogs loved playing with themAny child that ever owned these two little dogs loved playing with them. They could be carried in a pocket anywhere they went.I had them back in the 1940s and was delighted to learn that they can still be bought. I recently bought another set. 5
