    ** --- I am so disappointed. My daughter is 9 years old and she ...Buyer Beware! - **They will not refund your purchase!** --- I am so disappointed. My daughter is 9 years old and she bought this gun with her own savings. I did not expect this gun to be of the highest quality, but I did expect it to work properly and for a lot longer time. The first day, it worked perfectly in the beginning and then the spinning lights in the middle of the gun would freeze. I opened the battery compartment and made sure they were in properly; it began to work again. On the second day it froze even more, again I opened the battery compartment and even changed the batteries. The gun quit working all together. I put the batteries that it came with back into the gun and it works somewhat. But not all the time. This is a cheap gun, but what's worse is that this seller will not refund your purchase for any reason. I wont buy from them again. They have no integrity for anything they sell and I think that makes them unworthy to buy from again.I would not give any stars, if that was possible. I do not recommend this product and I do not recommend this seller. 1It does look used, but cool!This thing blasted so many aliens during Halloween you wouldn't believe it. I never even had to reload once. If you're going to be traveling intergalactically and fighting off aliens from other planets this is a must buy. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself. Please be careful this will atomize your enemies. 5Fun toyWe ordered 2 of these for our 18 month old and our 3 year old.They loved them. Lights and sounds are fun, and the rotating center makes it feel like you are actually doing something. I gave it four stars as our boys broke the guns within a month, but they were VERY rough with them.Some things broke without much play, like the battery covers and some of the exterior LED lights. The spinning portions and interior lights broke with what I would call unnecessary roughness. The guns were finally thrown out after a burning smell was emitted when pulling the trigger (pretty sure the spinning motors were burning out due to part failures, totally my boys' fault).For how cheap these are they were fun guns that were enjoyed. Be warned the sounds are pretty loud, and I did not find any volume control. 4Put it back together and it worked fine. The lights are very bright I got a red one with chipped paint. Its also loud! Was concerned when it arrived in bubble wrap (no box?)...I have seen the same exact gun sold by different sellers packaged in a nice, colorful box-for the same price (if not about 50 cents more). Well, after pulling the battery 'tag' out of the handle, the gun worked great--for about 2 mins. upon which it began slowing, dimming and sound got lower...batteries were obviously sitting in this thing awhile! Bought brand new batteries and the gun worked for about 5 pulls of the trigger-then NOTHING. Tried contacting seller, but received an email from Amazon stating 'replacements not available for this item'--huh??? So I had to go through all the baloney of re-packaging, having UPS come, and waiting for a $7.00 refund! Ultimately NOT worth it! Buy from a different seller, or better yet keep your eyes opened at the (better) local dollar stores--I've seen similar (if not nicer) toy laser guns for the same price if not cheaper!P.S.-they show a RED gun in the photo...of course I got an ugly BLUE one. This year I was dressing up with a funky cyborg mask from Digital Dudz, very intimidating. I needed some sort of weapon to finish off the costume, but in this day and age walking into a building with anything resembling a real gun (orange tipped or not) isn't just socially unacceptable, it's just stupid. I searched on Amazon for a toy gun that looked like something from outer space which was clearly a weapon, but not threatening in reality. I stumbled across this one and ordered it, and it did not disappoint one bit; it was exactly what I needed. I've seen similar guns being sold at theme parks for kids at night for ridiculous sums of money. From Amazon it was inexpensive and worked perfectly with my costume. All of my coworkers were grabbing the gun from me so they could play with it, I guess their children don't share. 4Very disappointed, used item that only half works.Item arrived with surface scratches and areas where paint appears rubbed off, possibly a previously used item. The sounds worked but ably a couple of the lights are working. The cost, time and trouble involved in returning item is more than the initial purchase cost. It cannot possibly function unless you rebuild it with a button over the trigger which can be depressed to activate the toy mechanisms if indeed they actually work. However, if you (like me) just want something cheap that will entertain the kids for a while, this is a worthwhile buy.We ordered two (so we could have epic battles), and they really excited my son. The sound and lights were amazing, and we were able to use them regularly for quite some time before they finally gave out on us.After about two months or so, the paint began to flake off, and around the six month mark, the sound and lights completely blew on one of the guns. Now, 11 months later, both guns are broken and thrown away.I believe they served their purpose, and I don't regret the purchase; however, these are not toys you will be able to enjoy for years and years. 3
