    Fantastic qualityI love Ravensburger puzzles for their quality and beautiful images. I especially enjoyed this one because I love Colin Thompson's whimsical artwork and every piece has something different to discover. But I only will give it 4 stars because I wish Ravensburger would make their pieces fit more tightly so that if you do a section of, say, 6 pieces and want to move them to their place, you can pick up the whole section without it all falling apart. It is very difficult to put already assembled pieces into place. It's a minor offense and detracts only slightly from the enjoyment of the puzzle. 4Missing pieces!The puzzle pieces in this puzzle are very well cut with clean edges and I love the non-glare finish. But I can only give it 3 stars because there are 2 missing pieces. I do not have kids or pets so they didn't go missing that way. I notice some of the recent reviews also stated they had missing pieces in the box. I am very disappointed because I thought I could count on the Ravensburger name for quality.I will contact the manufacturer directly to obtain a replacement, but as another reviewer noted, I have to wonder if the replacement puzzle will be intact.UPDATE:I did contact Ravensburger via their website but after 10 days I have not received any response. So I am returning it to Amazon. 3Not terribly difficult but funJust spent weeks completing a very difficult puzzle, so this was a fun switch. I completed about 3/4 of it on a single snow day. There were enough identifiable shapes and bright enough colors that it was easy to put together "mini puzzles" and then join them all together. Lots of detail that didn't appear until you really started searching for matches. No missing pieces. 5Beautiful but pieces missing.I finished this beautiful puzzle in two days, discovering on day one that I had at least one piece missing. I contacted Ravensburger directly via their website and received a response in about 24 hours. They do stand behind their products and have offered me a replacement puzzle, either same or another one of my choice. They do not replace individual pieces. Drawback: if I choose to receive another copy of this same puzzle, there is only a 50/50 chance that it will be cut in the same configuration. 4This IS A Colin Thompson PuzzleWhile it doesn't say so on the site and you can't read the side of the box in the photo, this is a Colin Thompson puzzle.Out of the entire Ravensburger catalogue, the Colin Thompson puzzles are our favorites. These are not puzzles based on photos or photo-realistic art. They are more like dozens of miniature caricatures linked by some common theme, (here - goofy crafts and craft materials). The resulting sharp and colorful drawings, with an incredible amount of detail, load a lot of funny business into each puzzle. There are no muddy lines or big fields of one color; I exaggerate, but each puzzle piece is practically a little drawing on its own.We always turn to Ravensburger puzzles because of the quality and fit of the pieces and the bright, sharp printing. Subtle differences in the shapes of pieces are appreciated. This puzzle reflects the expected Ravensburger quality.So, another happy Ravensburger purchase. 5Another Ravensburger with missing pieces.More missing pieces. I have purchased approximately 20 Ravensburger puzzles. This is he third one missing pieces. Call company and they tell you they have the lowest missing piece ratio in the industry. It doesn't seem that way when you read reviews. I am done with this company and will never buy another puzzle from them. An no folks neither my dog not child ate the pieces. 1Missing PiecesIn general we love the Ravensburger puzzles, but we DO expect that all the pieces will be included. When we finished this puzzle, it was missing three pieces. This is a great disappointment. We knew almost right away that an edge piece was missing, but at the finish, we discovered two more pieces were missing. 2Ravensburger RulesRavensburger makes the best quality puzzles I've encountered to date. The pieces are thick and fit together very well. This series of puzzles (those by Colin Thompson) is particularly fun. Lots of quirky characters and objects hidden among the shelves - some so small you can't see them until the puzzle arrives. I do wish Ravensburger would include a large illustration with each puzzle. It's no fun squinting or picking up a magnifier constantly. And passing the box illustration back and forth with my wife is a bit of a pain. But these puzzles are worth it! 5Another Thompson gem - collect 'em all!Ah, this whole series of puzzles from Colin Thompson and Ravensburger are just tons of fun. I'm slowly collecting all of them.As with the previous ones, the fun continues after you solve the puzzle, because then you get to roam around it picking up all the neat things he's stuck inside the cupboard (in this case). His little pink guys are back. Don't know what they are, why they are there or what they are doing, but I love 'em.Plus all sorts of visual fun and interest.So, some points: - Ravensburger puzzles are made with thick, meaty pieces. They fit and sit well. No worries about bends or mangles. - For the first time (in my experience with Ravensburger) they included a poster of the puzzle. That's great, since the box picture is partially obscured by promo printing. Maybe this is a new thing for 2019. If so, keep it! - They are correct when they say low-glare finish. Even my inappropriately lit work area didn't cause any squinting. - Caution! Ravensburger does have the most puzzle dust of any manufacturer I've tried (and I've done a LOT of puzzles).The "how I solved it" section:These puzzles, because of all their unique areas, are close to an "easy" solve. In my case, I hit the reds first (including the patterned sections). The colored pencils are almost too simple to mention. Then I went for the alphabet. Next, the wheeled areas. Knocked out oranges and greens and then the shop on the right. From there, it was patterns and faces. Because this comes together so swiftly and it's one of "those" puzzles, at about a hundred pieces left, I "shut down" the poster and just looked at pieces and puzzle openings. It became a combination of puzzling and Concentration (yes, I know that no one remembers the game "Concentration").A fun and entertaining entry into the "cupboard" series by Colin Thompson. Miss them not! 5picture of complete puzzle missingWith Ravensburger puzzles, there is no complete picture of the finished puzzle. Even the cover picture does not completely show the entire puzzle. Remove the logos from the cover to show the entire complete puzzle. This picture does not allow the customer to see if the underlying image is 2 pieces or how the pieces meet. On the cover you need to show the completed puzzle or have a separate picture in the box that shows the completed puzzle, 3
