    Great puzzles!I have bought several of the Ravensburger puzzles and of the two we have put together they are busy and fun. Everyone who comes over seems to want to put in a coupe of pieces. The pieces snap together well and the small groupings of objects that make it fun to organize and find their place. I also bought a puzzle board with drawers and so i can move the puzzle from our dining room table to another place when we have guests. When all done, I put all the edge pieces in a bag for the next time, getting them separated in the first time is sooooo tedious! :-) 5Perfect, fun puzzleI loved this puzzle. This is the 2nd Ravensburger puzzle I've put together that was drawn by the same artist. The other one was the "Bizarre Bookshop 2" which was also excellent. What I most like about this artist is that it forces you to put together the puzzle in almost a spiderweb like way. See the picture for what I mean. The picture is so intricate that you'll find yourself creating small groups of puzzle pieces that fit into known areas in the puzzle, then you'll start adding onto those until you get the whole picture. Awesome fun! 5The real fun begins after you're finishedThis is a simplistic puzzle.Relax, Ravensburger fanatics, that's not a criticism. You'll soon see why, but first, some warnings... - The initial puzzle I received was missing one piece. The ultimate puzzle maker sin. Getting all the way to the end and then...arrgh. Fortunately, Amazon swiftly replaced the entire puzzle. - The amount of puzzle dust in Ravensburger puzzles eclipses all other manufacturers (possibly combined!). I got the bright idea to dump all the pieces in a colander and sift them around. See all that blue dust? There was at least that much still at the bottom of the box when I finished the puzzle. Meh. - No poster. Not an issue, unless you put items on the cover picture overlapping the image and don't provide a full image elsewhere (well, there's the microscopic one on the side of the box...good luck with that).So, how does this thing STILL get 4 stars? Read on, puzzlers! - Construction. This is a well made puzzle. Thick, meaty pieces. Flush, solid connections. And only a few with the dreaded "bad cut" hanging paper. Nice to the feel and to work with. - No games on the pieces. As in, no "sorta, kinda looks like an end piece but really isn't". Playing honest with the puzzler is a good thing. - Finally, the real treat of this puzzle is that it's so darn interesting. All the little bits you glance at while in the midst of the puzzling "zone", you can sit back and really look at when you're done. This puzzle has all sorts of goodies to enjoy. For instance, there's these odd little pink guys everywhere. I don't know what they are or what they're doing, but they are funny to look at. As is the whole puzzle.I said the puzzle is simplistic because it really takes no time at all to solve. The areas of the puzzle are so distinct and separated, that finding the pieces is reasonably easy. As with most puzzles, there's always a "key" to getting a bunch done. For me, I chose to work the red areas first. After that, it's just basic filling in.Assuming you don't get my bad luck on missing pieces and don't mind some extra puzzle dust, this is a nice puzzle to work and, once finished, the real fun begins. 4First 1000 piece puzzle and I LOVED every single piece (and the process)I am so glad my cousin talked me into doing a puzzle, a Ravensburger puzzle no less. The Curious Cupboard arrived with promised 2-day shipping and it was a nice large puzzle. I love the packaging, the quality of the puzzle is excellent, the colors are vibrant and beautiful, and the pieces fit together so nicely. The quality of this puzzle is better than any that I have done in my childhood and I am about to order my second Ravensburger. A bit over-priced but I am happy for the quality. I am now buying the glue to put it up.I highly recommend this puzzle for beginners, because even though it's a large puzzle, the colors are so distinct that I would pick up any piece and look at the box cover and locate it about 90% to 95% of the time. So it was easier than say a green landscape or a blue sky - aaaaahhhh - imagine that!Doing the puzzle has improved my concentration and patient, not to mention my creativity. Is that possible? Well, it seems to be. Gotta love it. Why can't we adults have some of the fun? Puzzling isn't just for kids so enjoy and hope this was helpful!Update: I used Modge Podge glue with several applications on both sides and then hung it on the wall just outside the kitchen using a simple string and a nail. Looks awesome, doesn't it? Must preserve our puzzles after all those hours of work. 5Stellar Design, Iffy QualityThis was, hands down, the most fun I have had putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Little, quirky details everywhere; great colors; no missing pieces. About a half-dozen of the pieces were damaged, though. Some had blue cardboard backing remnants where an open space should be; some "knobs" had just the thin puzzle image and no blue cardboard backing underneath. The result was a handful of pieces that didn't fit snugly in their spots, nor did they lie flat. I will definitely revisit the puzzle and put it together again. I am concerned, though, that those "knobs" won't survive multiple assemblies.UPDATE NOV 2018: I followed the instructions included with the puzzle involving sending feedback to Ravensburger. I didn't request a replacement puzzle, but to my delight I received a new one in the mail. I haven't had time to assemble it. I'll update again once I assemble it and compare the quality to the previous puzzle. 4My Favorite Puzzle Ever!I wasn't sure what to expect, but it looked colorful, and I love to cook, so I bought it. This puzzle was the most fun! Not one piece is a solid color, and there are so many little details of humor and weirdness. I couldn't stay away and had to complete it. This artist is my new favorite, and the Ravensburger quality is so good. I have since purchased three others by this artist, and completed two of those so far. I hope he makes more! 5Not the Ravensburger quality I used to buy for my kids.I have been very spoiled by purchasing Springbok puzzles for years. They had thick pieces that snapped together tightly. Newer puzzles are much more flimsy- but I was disappointed by all the blue powder I kept needing to sweep up while laying out pieces. The clicking of pieces together has a weird feel and lifting a few pieces together to move and drop into the correct spot is hard because the interlock bond is weak-pieces don t want to hold together. You start going nuts looking for a few easily identifiable pieces and ultimately I found what others have stated. Two adjacent missing pieces were missing. Very irritating. 3Give us pictures of the entire puzzleWhile I love the colorful Ravensburger puzzles, they need to quit putting these icons over the only picture that is the true puzzle picture. For the price comparison, I could get a puzzle that even includes a separate picture of the final puzzle picture. You can plant this icon somewhere else on the cover without covering the puzzle - your icon does nothing but interfere with the final picture of the puzzle. very bad cover design!!! 3DO NOT PURCHASEThis product was used and not brand new when I received it. The puzzle pieces came in two Ziploc-brand bags. One bag contained the edges and one bag contained the the inner pieces. The puzzle box was taped shut with package tape. DO NOT PURCHASE. 1Seven puzzles purchased. Seven puzzles missing parts!This is the seventh Ravensburger puzzle we have completed, and the seventh one to be missing pieces! The first time it happened, we assumed it was us. The second time, figured bad luck. But the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh times....I think it is safe to assume the issues are with the manufacturer's quality control. These are beautiful puzzles and the parts fit wonderfully, but we just don't enjoy incomplete puzzles. I guess its time to find a different brand. 1
