The rest was great. It's easily my sons most favorite toy he ...I read the reviews before buying and went ahead and got it anyways. It came damaged but Amazon and the company took care the the problems with a broken valcano and dinosaurs fast. The mat is flimsy and tore fast. The rest was great. It's easily my sons most favorite toy he owns. 3Came broken and disappointed!On first opening, it literally smelled like gasoline! I left it out for 2 days and it helped get rid of the smell. 4 dinosaurs came broken right out of the box. I really don t believe it was shipping either, but actually being stuffed so tightly in the bin with the heavy volcano and cave on top. The volcano, cave, 2 bridges, and 3 dinosaurs was the reasons I kept this set. ( I took a picture of the best stuff together, last 2 photos) My kids just loved those items and didn t care the other stuff was lousy. The playmat was a one sided piece of paper! Some dinosaurs feel hollow and fragile like a egg shell. Other dinosaurs were 2 halves glued together in haste so you can see inside where the glue didn t take. I will not recommend this to anyone. 1A Lot of Bang for Your BuckI got this toy for my 8 year old granddaughter who simply had to have it after viewing many toys online. She was not disappointed! She has played with it every time she visits for 2 months now, and the toys have held up well. This set came with so many trees, sturdy bridges, dinos, and cavemen (which don't belong in Dino Era , but they're cute anyway.) The storage container is large and sturdy, too. I told her to store the heavier pieces (volcano and rocks/caves) below lighter pieces to prevent breakage and we have had no problems with anything breaking. 5Better quality control is neededI have been looking for some dinosaur play set for quite a while for my kid. Now it's a good time since it can be a Christmas gift.It's so disappointing that the set came with a broken bag. The zipper totally got damaged. The small head which you use to drag and zip the bag had completely disappeared. I'm 100% sure the bag was still put in the packaging box by whoever handling it even knowing/seeing it's broken since the very first thing I saw when I opened the box is: the zipper was fully unzipped and the thing you use to zip it up was at the very end and it missed the part that allows you to zip the bag up. Actually there is no way you can fix it even if you find the small part since the zip line was completely broken. This bag is supposed to be used to keep all the big and small >100 pieces when they are not being played. So even though the seller was supposing I will have to keep this broken thing because it's a Christmas rush buy, unfortunately I will not keep it since it is in unacceptable condition and I couldn't find another replacement bag that can keep all the small pieces and being zipped after the kid plays.With this broken bag there is no way you can keep those pieces. Some dinosaurs and plant pieces are really small.Besides the bag, there are a few dinosaurs have broken tails.The caveman does not stand. He will lean forward and fall if you try to stand him up.The mat should be laminated so that it won't get wrinkled and some places on the mat already showed white spot when I opened the box because the print was scratched off during handling or something.The overall quality of the pieces is fine and it doesn't smell unpleasantly. But with the broken tails where you can see the sharp corner I'm worried that will hurt my kid during playing.So if the quality control of this product can be followed more strictly, I wouldn't have to gone through this and my kid will be all happy playing by now. 2Lots of fun stuff to create a dinosaur landThis is a great product. Lots of realistic dinosaurs, trees, bushes,and rocks to set up a great dinosaur land. Would have been 5 stars if the mat hadn't been so disappointing. The "play mat" however, is 19" x 23" and folded plastic so doesnt sit flat and once you have everything on it, it's too crowded to play with. I'd say leave out the mat,or put in a cloth one that's bigger. 4I won't say its the worst item I've seenThis was rather disappointing. I expected the play mat to be larger - its smaller than a poster board and made of a very cheap plastic-ish material that I'm certain will tear the moment my daughters put the dinosaurs on it! The volcano was broken at the top on arrival as well.I won't say its the worst item I've seen, but the photos in the ad are deceiving & its definitely not what I expected.Having said that - the positives are that there are more than enough pieces...and I do like all of the extra "scenery" pieces. Makes imagination play much more fun. 2Don't recommend very disappointedReceived this today for my 3 year old son! We was so excited to get it and definitely disappointed/upset ! In the picture you can see one of the dinosaurs didn't even have a head and it apparently didn't break off in transit bc the head wasn't in box with all the others! The mat shown in pictures is a cheap printed sheet of paper that u can't even have on floor bc the pieces can't sit up on it! 1Not what I was expectingThe outer plastic carton that doubles as a "carrying case" was cracked upon arrival. The set in the picture looks decent quality but the dinosaurs and accouterments in the set are really cheap cheap plastic. Not only that, but they are super tiny. Even though it does clearly say the toy set is for 3+ years I wasn't expecting it to be inappropriate for my 3+ son's younger brother to be around because the whole thing is a choking hazard. Wal Mart sells decent size (6-7") plastic dinosaurs for $0.99 each and they are way above the quality here. I just don't believe you are getting the quality for the money here. 2Playmat is a thin piece of paper, but great toy set otherwiseGood set. The pieces are very colorful and seem to be of decent quality for the price. Great for creative play. Only drawback is the playmat. One of the images makes it look like it's a felt playmat. But it's actually just a thin sheet of printed paper (thinner than a magazine cover), so it's super easy to tear. Comes folded, so you have to iron it if you want it to be flat like the pictures. Get a better playmat separately or laminate this one if your kid cares about having a playmat. 4Don't waste your money.Bought this for a Christmas gift for a 5 year old who loves dinosaurs. First of all I paid $49.99 before Christmas now it is $32.99! Still not worth that. The "mat" is a piece of very thin plastic. The dinosaurs and other pieces are not good quality. If I could return it I would, but 5 yr olds don't know the difference and he had fun playing. 1
