Arrived with huge hole in the thumb which had to be stitched up with a toddler hugging it. Hope the rest of it stays together. 1Hard Plastic EyesThis product is exactly as pictured. It is really cute and does represent Cookie Monster well. My only issue is the eyes. The eyes are really hard plastic. Not so nice for cuddling. If you are ordering this item for cuddling/children, just take that in consideration. It's not a complete deal breaker for me, I just would prefer plush eyes like on my daughter's Elmo dolls. Any Sesame Street fan would love this gift, just be careful with those eyes. 3Nice Cookie monster.I liked it, good size soft feel and looked like it should. It split down the seam and stuffing was falling out. Also it had hard plastic eyes and when my one year old wants to hug or tackle she can hit her face on it. Wife made me send it back and we got a smaller lame looking cookie monster. Too bad for the poor QC because even with the hard eyes it is a five star product. 3Great purchase for the size!So I got this guy to go with the Gund 20" plush Elmo because Gund doesn't make a 20" Cookie, and well, c'mon, it's Cookie! If you're looking for a good sized, soft and squishy pot bellied Cookie Monster you found him. I did a lot of research looking for the right Elmo and Cookie and it was surprisingly hard. Although the quality of the Gund Sesame Street characters is definitely superior to these Playskool options, they don't have these larger sized characters except for Elmo, so I turned to Playskool for our Cookie Monster. You'll see the photos I've compared the sizes of the competition's Elmo plush, which is supposed to be the same as this Cookie.Several key things to note. Cookie's eyes are hard plastic, but more surprisingly so is the black mouth! I expected it to be more like the black felt material in the Gund that's common in these kinds of toys which are usually backed with cardboard or stiff plastic like you can see in Cookie's mouth. Now this may be a downside to some but I see it as a total plus! I mean I fully expect this guy to raid the cookie jar with my son, so isn't it nice that for once, a stuffed animal's mouth will be easy to clean? It's like they thought of that on purpose and I'm so glad they did!Despite having thinner fur as evidenced in photos (if the hair gets worn and mats down it'll be more obvious) it's still soft, just a not silky soft like the Gund Elmo is, which I think you can see well in the photos. He comes in a box and you have to untwist the cloth ties that are attached via a little blue ribbon the same color as his fur, which you can see in the photos. They blend in okay, but to me they'll always be a bit obvious but nothing your child could get hurt on. Cookie has such a soft plump pot belly it's perfect and looks just like him! I saw a lot of Cookie's that basically looked like a blue Elmo with googly eyes and so it's nice to see this guy is big and fat just like on the show. He's a fantastic size for my 27 month old who is getting the pair for Christmas and I can't wait for him! They're the perfect huggable size for anyone. It's hard not to steal him myself. I'm super glad I went with this guy. If I were comparing him to the Gund versions and soley basing my review off that, I'd be giving him four stars, but on his own he earns a solid five. 5CuteI bought this for my Cookie Monster obsessed little boy for Christmas so he has not seen it yet. It is a good size and cute. The arms are a bit floppier than I expected and I feel that they could have more stuffing. I also am not a huge fan of how large and hard the eyes are. For a toy for a young child, I feel that they could have had cloth eyes, especially since I m sure the paint will wear off quickly. Overall, I am happy with the quality minus the few things I mentioned and feel that my son will love it. 4Super soft and great cuddle buddyI expected this to be a bit bigger honestly, but despite that this is the biggest cookie monster I could find. My nephew still absolutely loved this for his birthday! Nephew let out a small cookie monster scream because he was so excited. Like the other reviewers say the eyes are hard plastic so just know that. My nephew loves this though. Great toy despite I thought it was bigger. 4
