    So tiger. Much mutant. Wow.Who wouldn't want to buy this? If you like bad ass figures (or just cool things in general) sitting around your house, you should buy all the Papo mutant figures, starting with this freaking sweet tiger. I started with the Alligator Mutant which was great, but this tiger is honestly the best out of all of them. Maybe second only to the Gorilla Mutant..... I don't know how they make and sell these for the price they do. Really great quality, and flawless details right down to the tiger's toes. You could throw this through a wall in your house and it honestly wouldn't hurt the figure. Stout as hell. Guaranteed infinite enjoyment. Trust. 5Thick, sturdy, well made, great details.We love this brand of figurines. My son saw this at our local castle for their Halloween festival and fell in love but it was out of our souvenir budget so he asked Santa for it. It is heavy and thick and really well made. It's is hard but not brittle so it won't break off an arm or axe if you drop it. Great detail. We have had no problems with our Papo items having paint chipping or breaking or anything. Satisfied customer for life! 5Tifer Tiger Burning BrightThere's a lot of excellent sculpting and easy humor with Papo's models. I collect them here and there as one catches my eye. Do not be fooled. 1Great FigureThis is a great, durable, imaginative figure.There are some complaints here about the paint being less than excellent. It's true the paint is obviously a production-line job, but as far as production line toys go, this is by *far* one of the better paint jobs I've seen.Also the paint is durable! Ours goes into the sandbox, the bathtub, fights with Matchbox cars, jumps off the bunk bed - you name it! And through it all he still looks great.I think the weapons are not supposed to be removable, but ours can be removed. (Ask an eight year old, they'll figure it out.) I also love his pose. He looks just as menacing without his weapons as with.We also own the Papo "Crocodile Man", another excellent figure. 5Another Awesome Schleich Product!I bought several Schleich products for Christmas including the Dragon Knight Magician, 2 dragons, and this hybrid feline fighter with dual-weapons. I, literally, could not be any happier with these products. They are very cool, very well constructed, beautifully and artistically colored/painted, and really just very cool toys. I like them so much, I have considered buying an entire collection of them and displaying them. Then I remember that I am a 30 year old guy...So, instead of doing that, I just buy them for my daughter with the hope that she will enjoy playing with them as much as I would have at her age. Thus far, she seems to be catching-on because she asks to play 'dragons' with me. We set-up all her little Schleich product (only 4 right now), and we play. I cannot wait to add more of these to my collection.So why only 4 stars? Although this particular product is very cool, it is not quite as awesome as it looks in the picture. Not sure why. I wasn't even going to buy this item, but the picture looked so cool that I figured I had to check it out. When I received it, I was a little underwhelmed. Despite that though, this is still and awesome product and I highly recommend! 4Mine was a cartoon version of the beautiful, realistic exampleUnfortunately the figure I received had none of the detail of the example photo. The actual paint job just did not meet the expectations I was given. I saw the complaints others had, but hoped they fixed the issue.It's not just the fur and eyes, but includes the look of the metal components and details on the clothing, boots, earring, etc. Also the overall texture of the plastic seemed like the figure was tumbled too long. The example had a coarse/rough texture to the plastic, which complemented the very quality paint job very nicely. Can I buy your master model?Maybe with a lower price point along with an accurate representation, I would have kept it, but I'm sending it back. Easy enough.On the plus side, unlike another review, the figure I received did stand on boht feet and seemed balanced and well made. And although I've packed it up now, I don't recall any sprue or mold marks. It seemed mechanically sound. The axe arrives turned backwards (I assume to keep it from getting warped). But it turns in the hand to the correct position. I hope the photo helps other shoppers.Also, I bought the mutant along with the Papo Standing Tiger. The Standing figure was much better, though still had some color problems, such as the teeth being pink probably from painting the tongue and mouth red. But it was still a pretty nice figure, so I kept it. It sounds like Papo can also make great products. 2Not as picturedAs other reviewers stated, the toy looks nothing like the picture. It's not as detailed and beautiful. One of tiger's paws doesn't touch the ground and just hangs in the air. I have a Papo dinosaur and it's very well made, so I was disappointed in the look of the Tiger mutant. 1Don't buy this one! HORRIBLE(Review by my son, 10 years old):I loved the dragon mutant, also from Papo. It is really detailed and just like the picture. However, the paint on the tiger mutant is nowhere near as nice, and the sculpting (or whatever they do to create it) is horrible. It is totally not as detailed as the picture, and it looks like someone painted it in 30 minutes. The only part about it I like is the short sword. 1Very beautiful...The pictures are amazingly done, so do be prepared for the fact that he is plastic, but it is darned high quality plastic. I stuck my tiger on my computer printer and look at him all the time. I was originally looking for werewolf statues, and happened on the stunning line of Papo mutants. The didn't have a werewolf but do have some amazingly nice wolves. This is something that children or adults will enjoy and it would make a great gift. Especially for people who live in small spaces. Their range of animals is quite large and the dragons just blow me away. I think I want all of those... these figures are so intricate and creative that they are truly a work of art. I will definitely be buying more from this line of products! The detail on the face is so finely done that I have to put on my reading glasses to see it all. His sword and axe can be adjusted but all the other body parts are fixed. The long handle of the axe had become slightly bowed during packaging and shipping.(God, now I just sound so nerdy.) :) 5
