Customer Reviews

They Mostly Come At Night...Aliens is so far the best movie to me. I think this is the greatest film ever made. I became a huge fan of Aliens overnight after watching it. Everything that was Aliens ended up on the top of my shopping list. So when I heard that NECA was rereleasing and starting a new line of Aliens figures, I naturally got really excited. After seeing the disappointment in the first attempted line of the Alien figures back in 2011, and agonizingly waiting for months, the first line of the NECA Aliens series came out. And I must say... NECA, you hit this one out of the ball park!!The new Xenomorph Warrior figure impressed me so much. The detail to the figure is brilliant. Very Beautiful!! The paint job looked so well done and every angle of the figure looked so cool! The figure has 29 points of articulation and can finally be posed in all the positions I wanted!; a nice wall crawl, a crouched position, etc. etc.! So far its all good, though my figure came with quite the stiff shoulder joints. I don't know if anyone else experienced this as well, but this was the only teeny-tiny minor setback I came across. As with the rest of articulation, I found no other problems. The dorsal spine that is between the neck and the dorsal tubes of the Xenomorph can even be removed! We can finally move the Alien's head further back for more posing options! And with the inner mouth being able to extend out, I really felt happy that NECA has stepped up there game in figure-making. After seeing this absolutely stunning and beautiful figure, I cannot wait to see the next Aliens figures coming out later this year! Especially that Queen coming out in the winter season. 5Within the first hour the foot came off and had to be super glued back onI bought this for my son since he is a huge fan. Within the first hour the foot came off and had to be super glued back on. There was no way for it just pop back on. The next day the head came off and again we had to break out the glue. My son is older and is not rough on his toys it just appears that this product was not meant to do anything other than be looked at. I read other reviews that stated the tail came off and one arrived with the arm off. For the price paid this product should be much more durable than it is. Will never buy another one. 1Good quality!!!!!I don't know why there so many bad reviews about this figure good quality detailed the jaw can come off if your not careful 5Unwanted alienDoes not bend or stand up well. Too much money for this item 1Super detailed articulated Alien... but so brown! This guy didn't get 5 stars because he is sooooo brown. My boyfriend and i called it a "desert alien" X) I like the coloration on the original 'Cult Classics series 7' ALIENS figure (i have the blue variant). But don't let that deter you! This guy is a must have a for an alien fan! His articulation is great and posing him with the rest of the collection is super fun. You can even remove the back appendage to put him in a crawling mode.GET IT. 4close to 5, but for quality controlI thought this would be an automatic 5-star figure. We've been waiting for a super-articulated Aliens version of the Xenomorph for years now. NECA overall did a great job. But it's not a 5-star figure, at least not the one I got.First, NECA added a lot of new features making this pretty much a brand new figure. It is NOT a rerelease of the previous one. Some of the new features include double-jointed elbows and knees, flexible dorsal fin and pipes, and a slimy coat of brown varnish. So, what's not to like. On the one I got, there were a lot of quality control issues with regard to the paint. Mine had a large dollop of silver paint on his forehead. I scratched most of it off, but you can still tell that there's some silver paint left. There are a few other parts of the figure which have sloppy paint jobs. I can understand small areas but to have a big drop of silver on his forehead is simply unacceptable. If you buy yours in the store, inspect the figure carefully! On a more general note, the figure doesn't stand very well. The legs have a lot of articulation, but the figure has no center of balance. You can either stand him fully erect, which the Aliens never do, or you can have him squatting. The squatting pose looks better but took a lot of work to get right. The trick is to use the tail as a "third leg" to support his weight.Overall, this is a great figure, and I probably just had an unfortunate experience. I'd just like to think that NECA is beyond these quality control issues nowadays. 4thank you NECA !this is one of the best made .. the NECA smeagol was also extremely amazing !! and well cant compare which is the best , NECA has come up and now is the best .. I like them figures more than the extremely over priced figures available in the market .. The articulation is amazing ( Please check the video reviews available on youtube )I havent opened the packs yet so not touched them yet ( though my hands are itching to !! ) my Aliens are packed and will remain that way for some time ! my wife now has one in Italy ( she is a Die Hard ALien Follower !! and me one Warrior here in India. The sculpt and paint is amazingggggggg .. the figure is 9 inches tall and stands above the Neca predators ( 8 inches ) .. I am still searching a Predalien of NECA ( the few available on ebay cost more than the price of an entire NECA series set of Predators) the Aliens in blue and red and black are coming soon !! 5Actually, It's one of the better Aliens!I decided to update this review, reason being that it wasn't really a review, but more of an opinion. If you are reading this, chances are you are another worried NECA Alien (in general) collector and you are afraid that this one will break. You're in luck, because this is probably one of the most stable Alien figures to be produced, except for a few (very) minor flaws.Pros:+The figure doesn't break unless you want it to. So it it falls off the shelf, it's going to be fine (in other words, it's not prone to suicide like the previous ones).+Detail of the mold on this thing is incredible. Much better than any previous Xenomoprh Warrior. Even features a nice removable dorsal fin.+Features a bendable tail, and this won't break easily either (even after months of posing).+Features a double-jointed knee (brand new!).+Features wires running from the outer jaw to the back of the shoulders.+Features the classic inner jaw(see cons).+Is overall screen accurate.+PACKAGING. Ever since I started collecting figures, packaging has been a MAJOR factor. This, here, is a great packaging example.Cons:-Figure comes with a warped leg (only minor).-Body paint job overall isn't that great. I mean, it's good but doesn't have much detail, it's just brown and...black. That's it. It's painted good, but it just does not have much color variety, like previous versions. It doesn't look as good as it did at ToyFair.-The inner mouth's paint job is awful. Just a minor nitpick, but it looks like it was just dabbed into white paint .-Strange dividing line in the middle of the forehead (foredome, whatever). Not that noticeable from a distance, but at times where you are taking a close-up picture of it, sticks out.Overall, this figure is a perfect 5 stars. Don't miss it while it's still available! There is a blue version coming out in some time, but this version it worth it for the glossy, tan appearance. EDIT: Blues version is now out (NECA Series 2 Blue Xenomorph). 5Neca Alien. This guy came in at lunch & it is beautiful. The sculpt is really good. The paint is black with thick brown wash on it.The articulation is pretty good on the figure. But the shoulders feel stiff so be careful and gently move it to help the joint loosen up.The problems I think I have in mine isn't all bad just annoying so I'll let you know what I mean. The alien's jaw tends too come off easily put I fixed it by gluing the pegs and letting it dry then popping them back in the sockets.Again the shoulders are stiff and the arms are thin so please be careful. And the tail looks like it would rip off from where it was glued, which really isn't a surprise since the glue seems cheap.I like the figure really, I would give is a five star rating if it wasn't for those few problems, but NECA really did good on this figure.I guess that is it. I can't wait to see what NECA will give us next. 4It Didn't Break Out Of The Box.Unlike the Black Genocide warrior figure, whose right leg snapped off at the hip as soon as I tried to move it, this figure is a little more solidly put together. Having compared the two figures, I've noticed that the Series 1 Warrior has a slightly smaller forehead than later series figures, and the paint is a bit... sloppy. The right-side cable thing that attaches to the mouth was stuck on the outside of the shoulder ridge thing, but that was easily fixed with gentle prying. I don't think that the fifth dorsal spine on the back can be removed as later figures can, and the inner jaw is... um, sloppily painted. That being said, the figure is at least in one piece, and the legs don't have any problems moving... much. The "diaper" that is used to cover the bottom of the figure sometimes folds in and prevents the legs from being moved, but gentle twisting of the hips can remedy this. The mouth also doesn't close all the way, but... eh, whatever.Comparing this figure to the albino and later series figures, the entire figure is actually a little bit smaller in areas than the later series figures. The head, as I've mentioned, is slightly smaller; the tail is shorter and... that's really about it. The legs are a little bit warped, but some proper heating can fix this. I've also noticed that the paint scheme is actually less shiny than the later series figures, thus giving it a dull look. However, since the later figures feel more fragile, I think the painting methods may be part of the reason for fragility. The paints of later figures may be causing certain joints to get stuck, resulting in damage when trying to move limbs. All things considered, this is still a decent figure. 4
