Customer Reviews

Very Satisfied - Attachment Seems Just Like an Extra (not needed)This was a very good purchase in my opinion and I would definitely buy this product again (and I might!). It comes with everything shown in the first picture - two 12 round magazines, an attachment piece, and 24 Modulus Elite darts. These darts are the same as Elite darts, but with the different colors like the darts that come with Nerf Modulus blasters. They can be used in any Nerf gun that uses a magazine system, and so do the magazines. The idea for the flip clip is good, and better than the previous tries to do something like this. However, sometimes one or two nerf darts will pop out the upside down clip, and it can be hard to fill the clips with darts. It does decrease reload time, but not if you have another clip on hand, like in your pocket for example. Also, sometimes the clip can get in the way as it is fairly long, and the clip not being used creates bulk on the left side of the blaster, which makes it hard for right-handed people to stabilize the gun by holding it with your other hand (farther down the barrel). So I just removed the grey attachment piece and now use the clips separately. This is fairly easy to do, by finding the place on one clip where ONE of the bumps is attached to the attachment piece. You can pull the attachment piece off here and then free the magazine. Repeat with other magazine.Using them like this works well because the clips don't hang down to far, don't get in the way, and don't add to much weight to your blaster. In my opinion, this is still a great way to get extra darts and some good capacity clips, and just comes with an extra option to attach the clips, if you want to. Overall, I am very satisfied with this.***But make sure to get "Standard Packaging"! This is how it would come in a store. "Frustration-Free is just a brown cardboard box.***Let me know if this was helpful! 5disappointing - darts fall outAs many other people have posted here, I got the frustration free package version which only contained 20 darts instead of 24. Not a big dealbreaker for me, however, the opening at the top of each magazine is 1-2mm wider than my other Nerf magazines, so the darts constantly fall out of the bottom facing magazine. I've fixed this by bending a piece of wire into a U shape so it clips onto the opening of the magazine, preventing darts from being pushed out. This piece of wire has to be removed when loading the magazine into a blaster. I tried a few other things, but the way the blasters work requires the opening of the top of the magazine to be completely free of anything, so tape and rubber bands failed. A binder clip might work too, but it seems a bit too hard on the plastic of the magazine. I wish Nerf would sell the drum magazines separate from the blasters, they would have a huge market for those.Update 2017-2-19 - I read on a Reddit forum that some people had used a hot glue gun to put a line of glue around the opening to make it hold the darts better. I gave this a shot and used an exacto knife to trim the excess. It now works as it should and no darts fall out. Still not impressed that this didn't work as it should out of the box, but at least this was an easy fix that's inexpensive. 2Didn't come with 24 darts...This is advertised to come with 24 darts, as it holds 24 darts. Mine came with the darts all packaged together, but only a total of 20... I'm not going to throw a fit over a few cents worth of foam darts but it was annoying. Just an FYI to anyone looking to buy this, make sure you have enough darts on-hand! 3At first I thought this was lame because there were 18-dart magazines that could simply be ...At first I thought this was lame because there were 18-dart magazines that could simply be duct-taped together. That was not necessary the case. Taping together 18-dart mags have not always been easy for me: if too tight, the darts get stuck and jam in the blaster. If it is too loose, it wobbles about. It is bulky and cumbersome to carry these large mags as it is, and especially so for the younger kids to manage at my family Nerf wars. Also, it's costly to get a bunch of these. As an added bonus, this Modulus dual flip-"clip" set comes with 24 darts and two 12-dart magazines that are held together by a solid mid-piece of plastic by holes to fit into nubs on the sides of the magazines. This piece keeps the magazines somewhat secure and it is sort of difficult to take apart willingly. Of course, there are moments where it does pop off and it will take some acquisition to put back together. This I have rectified, ironically, with some duct tape (check out the last 2 pics). 5Not as expectedIt looks like it would connect to the nerf gun and feed nerf bullets to the gun. It does not. It just holds darts and when you go through one side, you take it off and reconnect as a dart holder not a magazine. SO you have to pull darts from it and feed you gun. 2Great for shooting Brooke in AccountingGreat product for the price, I got these to fill out my arsenal for intra-office combat at our small company and they've helped me keep the edge in what has become a heated arms race. I played with nerf as a kid and this new clip system is great. When you do it right these will almost never jam, and the convenience of having two clips you can change between so quickly is great.People saying the clips can be hard to separate are right, but who needs to separate them? Just buy regular clips if that's what you want. My only beef with these is that sometimes when they are fully loaded the spring is pressing hard enough upward to just pop a dart or two out of the clip, but this isn't a major issue. Overall, I would highly recommend these for unloading large quantities of darts into your unsuspecting co-workers. 5The most bang for your buck in magazinesThis is by far the best bang for your buck when it comes to magazines. You get two 12-round clips for $12, plus the piece that connects them. While I didn't use them in the "flip" configuration, it works really well this way. If you remove the piece that connects them, you can separate them into two magazines, which is how I use them. They seem to feed very well, and the only complaint I have is that they don't have a clear side or a slot that goes all the way down to indicate how many rounds are left. Recommended! 4The magazines do not feed as well as they could if they housed better springs. You can't pre-load the magazines "just in ...We've incorporated Nerf Wars as part of our teambuilding and resiliency training in our office. The single point of "failure" is the spring; they are not very robust. The magazines do not feed as well as they could if they housed better springs. You can't pre-load the magazines "just in case" a war battle breaks out; the coil looses it's spring quickly. On another note, the clamp at the top of the magazine does not support the loading of 12 rounds...10 is a safe number to ensure they don't just pop out on their own. 3Pretty cool.My kids love these. The magazines are sturdy and function flawlessly. The clips holding them together are a little flimsy, but I didn't expect steel for the price. Even without the clip to join them, these magazines are worth the investment. My boys now have the ability to reload multiple times without stopping to pick up the used darts. They really love that when their cousins come over the have nerf combat. The product arrived on time and in great condition. I would definitely order from the seller again. 5Won't hold darts. The gap in the top is too wide - it won't hold even 6 darts. They just pop out of the top even when the clip is sitting still. That makes these clips completely useless as-is, since the bottom clip will just shed darts all over the place while you're shooting the top clip. I compared the gap to the 10-shot clips that came with my modulus rifles, and it's about 2mm wider on both.I'll have to modify them to have a weaker spring or narrow the top gap. 2
