    Our new Go-to game!On a visit to Iceland, I saw some folks celebrating a family event as a back-yard BBQ. From our Air-BNB porch, I watched as they threw a small wooden pin at an arrangement of pins and wondered what was up. Happy to see the game M lkky offered on Amazon.com and I ordered soon after returning. Since then, M lkky has replaced Bocce as our go-to BBQ or Camping outdoor game. Fun for any number of players (unlike Bocce or Corn-hole, where you are limited to 2 or 4). Good for kids, as they can throw from a little closer, and more importantly, if they get bored and quit, it doesn't end the game for all. Well buying it here (or making your own set if so inclined). 5Fun that travelsIt may seem like a more expensive yard game, but totally worth the price. This game can go anywhere with its easy carrying crate. I just leave it in my car so I can pull it out whenever I'm at a cookout, the park, tailgate, camping. It's super easy to learn and everyone I've taught it to loves it. Its expected that the "skittles" get a little beat up overtime, but the wood is rock solid and other than some scrapes and grass stains this game holds up.I recommend everyone own this game. I think this will be the next big yard game that everyone wants at their tailgates and cookouts. Corn-hole who? 5Fun game but disappointing quality!We just bought this game only three weeks ago and we have already played maybe 15-20 times. We love the game. It was a great addition to our yard game collection. That being said, I am so disappointed about the quality of wood. Everything showed up fine when it arrived but after the first day of playing the #11 skittle cracked at the top and it was only a matter of time until the pieces started falling off. The next time we played more of them cracked and now about half of the pieces are cracked. The #11 skittles crack turned into a chipped top. This game is so fun to play but it is not a game made to last unfortunately. 2Good Game / Bad QualityThe game is a lot of fun. I was introduced to it by a friend of mine during a trip I took to Denver CO. I was very excited to bring the game home and introduce it to my friends. The game came ahead of schedule. However, the box was badly constructed and the bottom fell out within a day of having the game. Also the skittles are not constructed from the hardest wood and within about 15 games played the 12 pin cracked and has a large chip in it. Overall, I love the game but the quality is just not there. 2we have one and it's very sturdy.gave as a gift, we have one and it's very sturdy. 5A pleasant surprise of a gameMolkky has turned out to be a pleasant surprise as in surprisingly fun - and that means value. I assumed it was yard bowling, but that's wrong and doesn't do the game justice. It's a fun, mildly competitive yard game, combining the best elements of horseshoes, bocce, with the hand eye coordination of corn hole. And yes, some elements of bowling.The game is made entirely of wood, cut with great angles and edges are beveled. The game comes with a Molkky that you toss underhand at the dozen, numbered skittles. You want to separate the skittles, because if you can single one out and knock it down, you get the number of points branded (etched and burnt) on the top. The goal is get to 50 points first. If you knock down more than one skittle, you aren't left empty handed, you get one point for each skittle.We had a group of about 15-20 adults and teenagers, and played for 5 hours in a row. That was the pleasant surprise!It comes in a well designed wooden carrying case with a row handle and Molkky branded in the side. Really top notch. 5Note - best played on cut grass - does not work on ...Bought this on a whim while ordering Kan Jam for my husband for Fathers Day. He LOVES any game, but especially outdoor ones (cornhole, darts, etc.) and this was the biggest hit. We have since had 4 friends buy the game themselves. Buy it, you won't regret it.Note - best played on cut grass - does not work on pavement. Plan on trying it in sand next time we go to the beach. 5New Favorite Lawn Game!Molkky is a super fun lawn game that incorporates a great balance of skill and luck. If you are competitive and like precision games you will love Molkky. Most friends I have introduced Molkky to with have gone on to buy their own set after playing their first time, which is obviously a solid testament.WARNING: Being a game appropriate for children, the rules included are simply too basic/easy for anyone with decent coordination because a good player can get to 50 pts in just 4 throws fairly easily (this is the minimum number of throws)... so I will suggest some rules alterations1) POINTS: Play to 80 pts (or more)... because c'mon2) STRIKES: If you are playing with teams, allow a certain number of strikes/team = (2 + the number of players/team) In a 3 vs 3 game, each team gets 5 strikes. Or if you are playing individually, each player gets 3 strikes. This will keep it competitive and a strong balance of risk/reward, especially if there are some bad players3) REBUTTAL: Allow for a rebuttal... if a team gets to 80 pts, the other team(s) that are still in shoot until they miss (regardless of how many current strikes) and must hit exactly 80 to go to overtime (note: they have to hit the specific skittle to get to 80, Example: You can't knock over 3 skittles when they need 3 pts, you need to know over the 3)I doubt anyone is still reading... but for overtime we play a race to 25 exactly. Where each team is allowed 1 strike.These rule adjustments keep every game really exciting and competitive, instead of simply ending when a team gets 50 pts 5Really fun to Throw wood across the yard.What better way is there to enjoy the outdoors than to throw a heavy piece of wood at other wooden pins set up across the yard? It really is a fun game. When you knock over pieces, you take the sum of the number that were knocked over and when you knock only one over, you take the number written on the top as your score that round. I did have to buy a replacement game as the original had several of the pins with large knots and holes from where the wood used to manufacture this game was rotten. Perhaps better quality control would be in order? Also I have stained and lacquered the game to help protect it longer. Overall Really fun game, but it may take 1-2 different shipments to get a defect free set. 5Lacking durabilityThe game itself is great however the throwing pin lacks durability. We were using fairly soft underhand throws and the throwing pin split on length-wise during the first round. It didn't completely separate so I think I can fix it with wood glue but it's highly disappointing it happened after such little use.Update: Spoke with amazon and they're going to replace my set with a new one. Excellent customer service! Raised my review to 3 stars and if the new set holds up, I'll update my review again. 3
