    which I like because it keeps him from terrorizing his 9 year ...This was a gift for my 15 year old. He loves it. It fits well in our church bag so he does them at church, which I like because it keeps him from terrorizing his 9 year old brother and being disruptive. The pictures are very detailed and challenging. The biggest challenge is finding the right number since they are written so tiny. But they need to be small since there are so many of them. There is a good variety of animals. All in all a good purchase. 5MY MOTHER IS 74 AND JUST LOVES THEMBOUGHT THIS BOOK FOR MY MOM BECAUSE SHE SEEN IT IN A PUZZLE MAGAZINE AND THOUGHT THAT IT WAS COOL THAT THEY MADE DOT TO DOT BOOKS FOR ADULTS, WELL LETS JUST SAY THERE ARE TONS OF NUMBERS ON SOME, SOME TAKE UP TWO PAGES. SHE IS 74 AND LOVES IT. I HAVE NOW ORDERED HER A LAPDESK, A CLIP ON LIGHT, AND 2 MORE OF THE EXTREME DOT TO DOT BOOKS FOR HER. I HAD ORDERED ANOTHER BRAND OF DOT TO DOT BOOKS FOR HER TO TRY, SHE DID NOT TRY THEM JUST LOOKING THROUGH THEM SHE DID NOT LIKE THEM SO I RETURNED THEM TO AMAZON AND GOT HER THE EXTREME DOT TO DOT BOOKS. 5Extreme funI've always loved dot to dots but those for kids were boring for this grandmother. These are a blast. I would recommend that a pencil be used so lines can be adjusted to benefit the final picture. I enjoy this so much that I have to limit myself to just one or two a day. Otherwise I will complete them in one sitting and not get any sleep. I will definitely buy more of these very soon. 5They are awesome for the old, and the youngI really enjoy the challenges... So much so, I have given them as gifts. They have been a hit! It is something different... something that you use an old fashion pencil and your brain to do. They are good for the old and the young. The number size is good. You can whip through them or take your time and make a nice line from number to number... it is up to you. Get you a book, and you will find that you will purchase another. A wonderful dot to dot book filled with pets. Kids absolutely love these detailed dot to dot books, and even more so when animals are involved. MindWare is a great company that makes amazing dot to dot books. Ranging from detailed to very intricate, there is a good balance of easier through challenging. Age range states ages 8 and up, but many kids younger than that may be able to accomplish these dot to dots. Much better than electronics! Well worth the investment so that kids get a break from using electronics in order to do something "old-fashioned" that helps increase focus, hand-eye coordination, and developing the mind. We have purchased so many different MindWare dot to dot books and we normally need to buy two of each theme so that the kids each have their own to avoid fights. 5Very cool and excitingI had my eye on these books for about a year now. I had stumbled upon them here on Amazon and just thought they were so cool.I sort of didn't want to spend around $10 for a dot to dot book though, no matter how cool it was.Well, I just bought one for a gift for my nephew. It was around $8. There were other versions that were about that and others still around the $10-$12 range. I think that is too much (call me cheap) but for $8, it is expensive but still worth it.The quality of the book seems nice, or at least what you'd expect. The pages are a decent weight (not cheap/thin paper) and are nice and white.I haven't actually done any of the puzzles because it is a gift. But just looking at them it seems very intense and cool (and I really want to do one).I think my favorite thing is that you can't tell what the picture is. I always hated standard dot to dots growing up because I could look at it and see what the picture is before I even begin. Not so here by far. All I see is what looks like "buckshot" on the page. Dots everywhere and I can't make heads or tails of it just by looking.My only reason for a 4 star rating rather than 5 is because I have not actually done one of the pages. If I had and could confirm it is as cool as I think it is I would go 5 stars in a heartbeat. 4Keeps students so engaged! They love these!Students love these. You would be surprised how much they do. Word gets around and when it does you will here, "Can I have an extreme dot to dot too?" After they can color. Keeps students so engaged! 5What fun!These are so much fun! I'm very much an adult (well, in age anyway) and they are great entertainment in the evening. The numbers are small so I need good light and need to double up on my cheaters (it's a cute sight but it works for me!). I typically use gel markers and don't take the time to color the pics as i'm ready to do the next one! I think I've done all this brand's books and buy them over again. I store them away for awhile and don't remember doing the pic by the time I pick it up again. I've bought other brands but these are a go to. 5Loved the information about the animals.I sent this to a family member and she loved it. It's great for passing the time. She said she loved how it gave you information about the animals in the back of the book. 5I wanted to do it too!!!!I bought this for my 11 yr old son, and asked if I could do a page. It was ALL I could do to only do one page, and actually I obsessed over it for a while asking to see his progress, etc--just itching to do another but not wanting to do the book for him (hey, it was fun.) I ended up buying me one (different issue) and one for my 60ish father who doesn't like word find puzzle books or cross word books. 4
