MODELED AFTER REAL WORLD TREASURE. The pirate coins are inspired by hand-struck Spanish 2 Escudo Doubloons minted between 1651 to 1773. While most of the fleets carrying the original precious merchandise made it to their destination, many were lost and sea, leaving the glistening treasures to be discovered by explorers and pirates for centuries to come.
LOOK AND FEEL OF GENUINE COINS. Our coins are very dense, and have the look, feel and sound of ancient real metal pirate coins. They are made of zinc making them safe, sturdy, shiny and resistant to unwanted tarnishing and discoloration. We've included a variety of dazzling gold, silver, antique silver and rustic gold finishes.

Realism adds to ImmersionI had been looking for coins that had a realistic weight to them for a lap group. I had searched high and low and finally stumbled upon these. It Turns Out These Were perfect. They are made of real metal so have a realistic weight which helps with the immersion of the game. They also aren't too small or too big only being about a quarter. They are great to keep on person and not worry about loosing them. I ordered the 30 count since they were only about ten bucks shipped. Now that I know the look and feel in hand I will be ordering the larger lot for sure! Cannot recommend them enough 5Exactly what I wantedFive star rating because the coins were exactly as described and pictured. There are tarnished ones and shiny ones, silver and gold colors of both varieties. The coins are about the size of US quarters. I love how the coins are not perfectly round, it gives it more of a time-appropriate fee and also that they are made from some sort of metal or another. They make a wonderful clinking sound, which is what I was wanting aside from something that looks rigt. I would recommend these to anyone looking for kids toys or for costume play with an outfit like I am, or even for themed decorations. 5Convincing treasure for pirate playVery convincing--they are metal and clink. They are very shiny. My 7 year old pirate adores them and uses them in imaginative play not just with with his pirate gear, but everything from his Pokemon to his Star Wars figures. Not sure if you'd want to put them in the pool or leave them outside long, as they are metal--but I'm not sure what the metal make up is. If you hold them for a long time, they do not tingle or sting your hands, as cheaply made play metal rings or cheap earrings would. But who knows what would happen in a pool. (Though, they would definitely sink!) They are about the size of a quarter or slightly smaller and thinner. I'd be careful if you have toddlers/crawlers--they are small enough to swallow. 5Kids loved theseYes, these are a bit smaller than what you think, but what you get is worth the price. Our youngest loves to treasure hunt, keep his treasure box full and this is a perfect item to help with that. He plays with these very often. Don't let the bad reviews stop you for buying these. Perfect for pretending to be pirates and finding buried treasure. 5Ordered multiple bags and one only had 22 out of 30 piecesFrom the reviews I took into consideration the size and ordered more than one set. But one of my bags of 30 only had 22 pieces and was missing all the silver ones. I also was surprised at how thin and small they were. Even if I wasn t shorted, still would not have enough to make the treasure chest look full and it s tiny too! Love the coins, love the metal, love the different finishes. NOT happy about being shorted, even on sale the price is steep for 30. There is no way to contact the seller other than an 800 number and informing amazon, so make sure this is what you want before you take the plunge. 3Picked these up for a treasure hunt for the kiddos...We pulled these out as a surprise as we completed a treasure hunt. They are much nicer than anything plastic, have no smell to them, have a nice heft, and the multi colors give a nice variety. Perfectly suited our needs and added a bit of whimsy to the day. 5
