Wonderful toy, but too many singles & not enough large blocksThis is a great toy and my 1-year old is obsessed with it. All the other kids that come to our house (toddlers and older) also love this toy. I love the size and how easy it is for little people to stack build with these. I like the amount of blocks this set comes with. This toy deserves 5 stars *** BUT*** it comes with too many small single blocks and not enough large blocks. You're very limited with what you can build when there are mostly single blocks. I have ended up buying larger blocks second hand to make our set more versatile. I don't regret buying this, but only because I found large blocks elsewhere. 4Great building blocks for kidsMy boys absolutely love these blocks. This is a great sized set for the price. The pieces are good sized so even my toddler has fun building his own towers, but they are also virtually indestructible. Every night before bed we play blocks. Each boy builds the biggest tower he can, then we throw them in the air and try to make them crash and fall apart. But they also get "points" if their tower withstands the throw. They love it and not a single block has chipped, cracked, or broken. My 6 year old even prefers these blocks over others. I love that we have the bag to put them in when we're done. With a nice wide opening, it makes for an easy clean up. 5Good variant pieces in this package.Mega Bloks "First Builder" size blocks are great for adults and kids. Play with them with toddlers to any age. The downside to any Mega Bloks assortment package is the high quantity of single 1x1 blocks - the single size piece that is only good for building a tall tower. My assumption is that in this bag of 150, more than 60 of the pieces are the single block. However. there is no way from getting a lot of single blocks. I own 4 other bags (80-piece) and at least 30 in each bag are the single block.The angle pieces in this set are great.The 2x1 rounded dome pieces are great.If you enjoy this size of Mega Bloks, I do recommend getting this package for the angle pieces and dome pieces. 4They are easy for her to put together and take apart and ...Bought this for my daughter as a Christmas present (she was just shy of 2 at the time and is 2.5 now). She absolutely loves these. It's a huge amount, but we have a second baby on the way so we figure we really don't need to buy any more. They are easy for her to put together and take apart and have helped encourage her to count and stack. The bag is great for storage, my mom's friend gave me some extra ones from her grandchild and there was extra space in the bag to fit those. Very happy with this purchase. 5Great quality!Great set! My kids love these they have so much fun building structures but even more fun knocking them down! I love how it comes in a carrying case with handles! Easy for cleanup and storage. The bag is only 75% full so there is some room to fit more blocks! 5For kids of all agesThis was a great buy. I bought this on sale for $18 which was an amazing value. Kids from ages 1 to 10 enjoyed playing with these blocks in my home! I love that the bag unzips the full width of the bag and then some. It makes it easy to open the top wide for easy cleanup. The bag itself is great quality and I'll just be keeping the blocks in there. I thought I would transfer them to a tote but this works great and it has a handle. My 1 year old son has a lot of fun with these blocks and the pieces are easy for him to hold. 5great blocks for toddlers and preschoolersMy younger kids prefer these blocks to their duplo legos. They fit together more easily and are larger in size which allows toddlers and preschoolers to create impressive structures without so much time and effort that they get bored or distracted. The large size is good for little ones who are still developing their motor skills. Kids can start building with these by the time they're a year old whereas the dexterity and hand strength required for duplos doesn't come into it's own until at least a year later.While my youngest, who is still an infant, just holds and chews on the blocks and my oldest two, who are older elementary and middle school age, are a bit old for them all my middle kids play with these. This set contains enough blocks for my one year old, three year old, four year old, and six year old to all play together. There's enough of each so they're not fighting over who gets a particular block. When one or two of the kids play on their own there's more than enough of blocks for them to build big towers and 'houses' for their stuffed animals. The package says 150 pieces but we received 157, it seems to be common with mega bloks to get a few extra in the bag.This big starter set is a wonderful option for families looking for a general building set that will hold up to years of use and still be in great shape to pass along to another child or family. Our older, smaller, set of mega bloks has already lasted seven years. These really do stand the test of time as a sturdy, classic toy for boys or girls.*just wanted to share something we do with our blocks - I lay an old sheet on the floor before I put the blocks out for the kids then, when they're done playing, I pick up the corners of the sheet and I'm able to pour the blocks back into the bag without having to crawl around picking them up* 5Best Building Block Set Ever!Mega Bloks Deluxe Building Bag 150-PieceThis is a product review of Mega Bloks Deluxe Building Bag 150-Piece by Mega BloksI was looking for a great gift for my adopted brother. He has down syndrome and is not interested in much. He had shown interest in plastic type building blocks so we thought we would give it a try. When he tore open the bag he sat there uninterested in much more than the paper as usual. We opened the bag and dumped the blocks out in front of him and he sat there for a while. Then he stood up and sat down right on top of the pile of blocks and started to smile. He ran his hand through the pile and his smile got bigger. Then he started banging them together. We all backed off and after a couple hours he figured out they could stack and connect together.It has been a week now and he will not put the blocks down. He has started building all sorts of things. It is crazy how a set of building blocks has opened up his mind and now he is starting to come out of his autistic shell. This has been the best thing we have tried to help him!I usually post videos of my reviews. However out of respect to his condition and the fact that some folks discriminate against God's special children I thought it best to just say thank you Mega Bloks. You have literally changed this little boys life. 5Love these blocks!We love these blocks! I purchased the 80 piece set and it wasn't enough pieces to make anything substantial. When I saw the deluxe set, I knew we had to have it to grow our mega block collection. With these additional pieces my whole family can make block towers together!They are easy to use for small, toddler hands and are also really easy to clean. I like the large carry bag that they come in because it helps everything store nearly away when not in use. 5"PERFECT FOR YOUR LITTLE BUILDER"My 3 year old grandson loves these. We had the much smaller set of only 30 in a little backpack type bag. 30 was clearly not enough for his imagination. This bag came with 151 pieces, we got lucky. There are some new shapes that allow any little one to go wild. On the front of the bag are a few ideas.The colors are very bright, these are made of a sturdy plastic, with no odor at all. The bag in which these bloks come in are also a thick plastic & vinyl combination. The bag has two nylon handles & a nice size zipper for any toddler to "DO IT ALL BY THEMSELF".150 variety of shapes, sizes & colors. The bag is very roomy, plenty of room for any added bloks, or trucks, cars, dinosaurs, whatever else your little one feels like tossing in this bag.
