    Multicolor glass beads are very usefulGlass counter stones can be expensive if you buy a small pack of a single color from your friendly local game shop. They're a little more affordable here on Amazon, but in 20 packs sold as "gaming stones" is probably the most expensive ways to buy these little glass beads. Particularly if you want more than one color, these Mancala stones are a good way to get ten each of five different colors.I took a chance and bought a second set to try and get 20 each of the five colors. There's no guarantee of that, but I thought it was worth a shot. They were the same, so I ordered a few more. I've now got 50 each of five different colors: Aqua, orange, green, blue, and clear. Again, no promises, but if you order multiple sets at the same time, the likelihood is significantly higher. They seem to come from the manufacturer in batches of the same color stones, with which colors varying from batch to batch.As to size, there is some variance. That's pretty typical with these stones. Some are unusually large, and some are unusually small. If you're buying this for a Mancala board, it may or may not quite fit, depending on how big and how deep the pits are. Personally, I've yet to see the full Mancala set whose pits did not feel small even with the included stones. We use small stacking plastic cups instead of any board. C'mon, this game was originally played by using rocks and scooping pits in the dirt. Improvisation is part of the game! :)Included with the glass stones are the rules for Kalah, which is the most common set of rules included with commercial Mancala games. The game has a definite first-player advantage, and you can find other and more interesting games on the Internet. Many of them use different numbers and arrangements of pits or homes, which is another reason we use cups instead of a wooden board.Durability: The glass sones are as tough as they come. But the little drawstring bag that comes with them could not be made much more cheaply if they tried. You'll want to find a better bag. A basic dice bag will do the trick.A very recent thing, as of this writing Amazon has started using heat shrink plastic to hold small items like these stunes to a piece of box-sized cardboard to keep them from rattling around inside the box. The heat shrink plastic fuses to the bag the stones come in. I've offered separate feedback about this, but for the time being you'll want to know that the plastic bag the stones come in won't survive your attempts to remove the packaging material. Open carefully or risk having stones flying everywhere. (Ask me how I know!) 4Lovely little stonesThere's not a lot to be said about these, except that they get the job done. I bought these to replace stones that had gone missing over the years as little children would get the set out to play with them. Very happy to have a full set again (with a few spares) 5They feel great, and the bag that it comes with is ...They feel great, and the bag that it comes with is very helpful, but note that they arent in the bag, but the bag is folded within the instruction sheet. But the quality is pretty good, and i plan to use them as damage tokens. 5A must to haveBy playing the mancala game, you are bound to lose those stones that the game had provided. Recently i got the game, but I already loses some stones in less than a week!! A WEEK I TELL YOU!!! Anyways this can replaces the missing stones that I lose and I would probably buy again if I lose these stones too. The marbles and the clearness of the stone does not differentiate from the stones that I have so it a plus. Definitely recommended to buy to just to be on the safe side if you have the mancala board game. 5Colors different than pictured, but they work all the same!These are common, simple glass beads. They're used for games like Mancala, for which this set is sold, but they're also used in tons of other games as counters of all sorts. And this is one of the most effective ways to get ten of each of five different colors I've found. Oh you can save a little money by buying glass beads in bulk packs by weight and parceling them out into smaller sets, but why when you really only need about 20-30 of any given color, given that these are so cheap? If they included white, black, and green as pictured (none of the sets I've bought have had those colors), they'd even be useful for games like Zendo. As it is, you can simply use other colors for Zendo. :)The white bag that comes with the stones is cheap and frays almost immediately. If I cared about that, it might have cost a star. I don't, so it doesn't. :) 5Perfect for MancalaWe lost all the original marble pieces for our Mancala set. These were great and not as expensive as some of the other replacements we had seen. They came with a nice pouch to keep them all safe and even included a few extra. 5Well made!Homemade product. Perfect size. I will get another set of these in the future from the same company. 5Perfect!These are wonderful and very pretty, as pictured. I do not think the drawstring bag is shoddy as a reviewer said. You should knot the ends of the drawstring. I love Mancala! I have played it on and off since childhood. They come with excellent instructions for the game with more rules than I have known which has made the game more fun and challenging. There were 52 stones in the bag. They would be good for other uses to. 5Perfect!I ordered these because the stones I received with my Mancala board were too large.
