    Great Product but not Happy with AmazonMagformers is an Excellent Toy for my grandchildren and they love playing with them. My problem is with Amazon. A week after I purchased this product, Amazon lowered the price by $30 and WOULD NOT give me a price adjustment. According to them they DONT price adjust. Very disappointed in Amazon. 5Ranked #1 BEST Toy in the toy roomAfter more than 3 years off the market, this great toy reappeared last year. By far the favorite toy of my grown children and my grandchildren and their friends. Encourages creativity like no other toy. This set did not disappoint. Love the new shapes that have become available since Magformers have been revived. Bought several sets of all the different shapes available when they first came out. Needed more pieces so more of the kids and grandkids could play all at the same time. Amazon had a super deal on this set and I couldn't pass up enlarging my Magformers collection by another 112 pieces. Children ages 3 to 43 are entertained for hours, which this grandma loves. I've laminated all the instruction sheets from sets over the years...the children love making things from those but I'm constantly amazed by the projects they invent on their own. Assorted vibrant colors of the pieces add to the way children are drawn to this toy. 5 STAR Durability --never have had a single piece break. 5Not all pieces are includedI was disappointed to learn that not everything shown on the box is included with this set. There are no bars to go between the wheels to connect them. My kids were disappointed they were unable to build the pieces that are shown on the box. I understand I should have read to see what all was included, and that is on me, but there shouldn't be photos of things on the box that cannot be made with the pieces inside. 3Magformers make my top 10 list of toysI absolutely love all the Magformers sets. And having seven grandchildren, I've purchased at least a dozen sets. These sets are quite expensive, but in my opinion, well worth the investment. This is one of the few toys that has the ability to fascinate both a two-year-old and a twelve-year-old. I prefer the sets that have the "basic" shapes and perhaps the ones with the wheels. I'm less a fan of the sets that make a specific item, like a crane, a Ferris Wheel, etc. (and I have both of these sets too) because once you've built the item, it's not much fun to build it again. Having only the basic shapes and some wheels allows for greater creativity on the part of the child. Best to purchase the larger sets so you can create all sorts of things. Next to sand, water, blocks, cardboard boxes, and paint, Magformers are my favorite things to offer children. They will spend hours building with them. 5Fun and engaging toy for the familyI purchased the Magformers Challenger set for my daughter's 6th birthday. She already had a small set that she loved to play all the time but this set will allow her to get creative and make more elaborate designs. She is very happy with her gift and spends hours playing with it. Her younger brother also enjoys playing and stacking magformers. My only complaint is the that the square and triangular pieces of the XL cruiser set had grey spots and splotches on the orange side. The pieces for the XL cruiser are also lighter and of poorer quality than the regular Magformers. Since my daughter is already playing with her Challenger set I won't bother to return them. 5Very nice set but magnetic tiles are more versatile.This is a great set! The magnets are very strong, bright colors, a lot of pieces and the car is very nice to have too. We also have a couple of sets of magnetic tiles and i have to say that i prefer those. Somehow tiles support unrestricted creativity and imagination while these magnets, because there is only one magnet per side and the way they connect, are more restrictive as far as what can be built and how. My 9 year old enjoys this set although she mostly has to follow instructions whereas she never uses any instructions with tiles. Paid $76 for our set. 5Hours of play for my kids/nephews ages 2.5-7!I LOVE Magformers!! I haven't tried any of the other magnetic brands but I love Magformers!! I know they can be spendy but I got these for just over $1 a piece and it has plenty of pieces for my 3 girls to play with. My 2 1/2 year old loves making the pentagon ball! I have 3 girls, ages 2.5-4 and 5 & 7 year old nephews who come over frequently and they all find these stimulating. We love building the balls and playing catch to see if we can keep it intact before it drops and we have to rebuild it. My sister just got the girls the Magformers in motion gear set and I am excited to see what else we can do with them. Those are plastic so I don't anticipate them holding up as well, but the magnets will last forever! My mother-in-law saved all her quality children's toys (like Legos) and my girls use them now. These are one of those things that I will definitely be holding onto for my grandchildren to play with!! When you think of it that way they are more than worth the cost. One of our sets of wheels broke after about a month but I have a feeling it got stepped on my some rowdy play. 5Amazing first set!This is our first magformer set. I love these! My 2 year old son is able to build many different things from this set. We plan to purchase additional/add on sets each year for him.The only thing I didn t like is the book that came with it featured parts that didn t come with our set, such as the wheel. It may have not been such an issue except we had just played with the wheel somewhere and he was excited to see it on the front of the book. I wish the set either came with the wheel accessories or they didn t feature it in the book. Hard to explain to a 2 year old why we can t build the wheel. 5Great for imaginative play, long lasting.Absolutely one of the best toys I ve bought my kids. Their imagination and critical thinking go crazy making all sorts of things. These are pretty durable and seem like they ll last a long time. Only downside is the box it came in. The use a lot of unnecessary space to make it seem like you re getting more than you really are. The numbers are accurate but it was just a lot of extra plastic packaging for no reason. Otherwise a great toy and highly recommend! 4Love Magformers, love this set, highly recommendI have to add to these fantastic reviews. My boys just love, love, love these magnets. We previously had two sets of the Discovery Kids magnets so I already had an idea that they would like other magnets. I was just looking for more interesting shapes and ways to create with magnets - this set is exactly what I wanted. In fact, I will be expanding on this set this Christmas. I'm hoping to add some of the "super" shapes to their set this year.Background: purchased this set Christmas 2013 for my twin boys who were then 5 and have special needs and my then 3 year old son. This is the kind of gift every parent hopes to find each Christmas - the one the kids open and are giddy with excitement to break it open and start playing!The set comes with a great assortment of shapes to make a variety of interesting things. I think the magnets are quite strong and hold their 3-D shape when assembled. My boys love making tunnels and garages for their Matchbox cars.What I really like about these magnets is that they never seem to tire of playing with them. I don't think more than 1 full day goes by that they don't break these out and build something. Therefore I feel they were totally worth the hefty pricetag.In terms of durability, I couldn't be happier. Three boys have well-loved them for a year, building and breaking many interesting structures. We had one casualty, which was unfortunately one of the pentagons that is the cornerstone of several of the more complex structures. But considering the use, I am fine with that. And one of my SN boys is particularly hard on toys. He always wants to disassemble things and see what makes them tick. He has tried to take these apart without success. If they can survive the DS-test, I consider them a win!My only criticism is that I wish the diagram booklet had more suggestions. But I guess that's what little imaginations are for!If you have a little engineer in your household, I highly recommend Magformers and this set, in particular, for the flexibility and value it offers. 5
