Customer Reviews

GoodIt fit well and does come with quite a bit. The down side is that it is indeed very cheaply made, after we washed it the outfit started to fall apart. :(Also another down side is that our son Link (yes that is his actual name) has autism and is sensitive to textures so it made him uncomfortable because it s a bit scratchy.I don t recommend for those of you with kiddos who are texture sensitive. Or ones that move around A LOT. But other than that it is a great costume. :) 4Pants not included, runs smallSo, for thirty bucks I expected this costume would come with the pants too (the sword or shield would have been nice as well, though I knew they weren't included). It comes with the hat, shirt, belt, and the boots. I'm glad that I ordered up a size after reading the reviews...the 14/16 fits my 9 year old perfectly. It is well made, and my kiddo loves it. 4One missing star is how super small this costume isEvery costume we buy is cheaply made, which always annoys me, but I'm not taking off stars for that because it's universal. One missing star is how super small this costume is. My son was 9 at Halloween and he's on the tall side for his age but quite lean and this fit snugly everywhere - size 14-16! Absolutely buy a size or two larger and don't bother if your child is more solidly built. The other missing star is because the included boots were shorter than pictured here. They do come up the leg a bit, but fall short of what you see and short of what you'd expect Link to wear. Since no pants were included, I'm judging harshly (even with low expectations on quality). I hope that helps others! 3Decent to Good Costume Quality especially for the price. The green part of the tunic and the hat is made from a rough felt or super thin fleece type of textured material, it feels cheap but looks nice and more like an actual tunic as opposed to your typical satiny slick materials normally used, my only complaint with this part is if you have pets everything sticks to it. So have a lint roller on hand. The cream colored neck/sleeves and blue "bracer" sleeves are the typical slick poly costume material and the "bracers" are nothing more than a solid blue color sleeve. All these along with the "chainmail trim" are sewn together to make a layered look. The cream neck and blue bracer sleeves are by far the cheasiest part of the costume, everything else including the chainmail trim looks nice. The boot covers are the best I've seen for a cheap costume. They are made of a pleather type material that does have a a good quality look to them and they go all the way around the leg in one solid piece. (Imagine a pleather boot with the soles cut out) No soles just an elastic strap on the bottom. (belts are of the same material mostly with some matching colored elastic in the back under the pouches for getting it on and off).I ordered a small for a toddler who normally wears a 4t. The sleeves are a bit long and the boot covers will need adjusted because they are long enough to cover my shoes much less a toddler. But overall it fits and looks nice, I am pleased with the purchase and can honestly recommend this costume. I would expect to pay around 50$ at least for this level of Quality. 4Smaller than expected, few items on the stock photo not includedI bought this costume for my 14 year old boy, I decided to get the X-Large size for this costume. When it arrived, it was smaller and skinner than expected. Definitely didn't look like a X-Large.It fitted my boy, but it was a little tighter than we hoped for. Nevertheless, my boy loves it.This costume does not include the sword, shield, or pants. You'll have to buy them separately. 4Adorable, tight fitting costume for Link and Zelda fans -- order two sizes larger!Omigosh cute but runs small!!!! I'd return and exchange for the XL (14-16) size if there was time, for a child who usually wears size 8 to 10 shirts. There is another "Woodland Elf" costume which is very similar looking at the package, but actually fairly different as far as materials, we looked for this Link costume in town, but only the "woodland elf" was available and we selected size based on having tried oneof those at another store. It was shinier and stretchy, made with more nylon, was size 8 and that seemed a touch looser than this M (10-12). The more generic woodland elf had gauntlets, and a cap with wig and ears (cute!). Child didn't like the ears, and wanted a more realistic Link costume, and I debated how long it would take me to make one and opted for this. This one has 3 round Velcro tabs in the back, the leatherette sash is sewn on, the belt has "usable" pouches and attaches with Velcro at the back, and is a little tight. Costume looks cute as heck when on; to clarify it looks like the picture, light greyish undershirt extends only as far as the top of the green tunic to which it's sewn, then sleeves are matching light grey with Link's blue gauntlets sewn on and I believe this is "correct" for the older version of Link. The boot covers go about half way up child's lower leg and pull on like a sock. They will work over snugger shoes and thin boots, but probably not over snow boots. I ordered a size larger than what I thought we'd need so the costume would fit over some cold weather gear and last longer for playing ... now instead I think we will drive the kids around in a truck so they can warm up between houses! The kids absolutely love the look, and ultimately that's the whole reason for the costume, right? 4This costume is a hot mess. For $30 I expected a bit better. The cut of the actual tunic is nice, but the sleeves are a mile long.My grandson is almost five and very slender, the 5-6 fits him nicely but the average 5 year old would need bigger, also the arms are way to long. It came with a size L belt, not sure why. I had to use a binder clip to get it to stay on. The color is off, but the chain mail effects are nice. The boots are too big also. Not sure if I want to go to the craft store and invest in extra materials, to make this work, or just send it back. For one night at Halloween it would work, but if you have a mini LARPer who wants to wear it and pretend they are Link a lot, you might want to invest in a better costume, or check with a Cosplay costume maker. 2It fits perfect, but is on the small side for himI bought a medium for my 5 year old (42 pounds, 47 inches tall). It fits perfect, but is on the small side for him. I'm super glad I didn't order the small. When ordering, you should know it does not come with pants, a shield, or a sword. 5Sizing not right but the boy loves this costumeMy child loves playing Legend of Zelda and knew in July that he wanted to be Link for Halloween. Needless to say, he loves this costume. That being said, the sizing for this costume is all wrong. My child is 7 and is the size of a typical 7-8 yo. He wears a size youth small to medium in shirts (Hanes tshirt sizing) and 7 regular in pants (Old Navy sizing). We ordered the XL (14-16) and it fits him just right with super long sleeves that we roll up.Sword, shield, and pants are not included. Came with green tunic, hat, brown belt (attached to tunic), and brown "boots" (shoe covers). 5Cute costume, runs small! My son is obsessed with Zelda and desperately wanted to be Link for Halloween this year. He is a tall and skinny 8 year old. After reading the reviews I bought the size Large. I'm glad I did. It fits him perfectly. And we just happened to have some pants that went perfect with the outfit. 5
