Customer Reviews

Fun and educationalI bought the snap cubes to after my son feel in love with them at school. They are easy to snap together, although sometimes he needs help taking them apart. The cubes can be used to create patterns, objects or structures. The cubes also require the child to use strategy when they are building because each cube has five holes and only one peg.I would recommend this product for children ages 3-7. My 5 year old likes using these to create buildings or objects and my 3 year old likes snapping them together and taking them apart. They seem to be good for a pretty wide range of ages. 5Great tool for teaching math!I am a homeschool mom of 5 and my oldest was struggling a bit to learn some new math concepts. My sister who has a degree in Business Accounting suggested I buy these to help my daughter. These have been SO helpful! 5DisappointedI wish I had looked at reviews of other cubes and chosen another set. These arrived and I was disappointed in the colors. They are dark and dull. I am wanting to use these with a small child to work on colors and matching, but the colors are so odd I can't. The quality is also lacking. These are very thin and don't really "snap together". I ended up going to a local store and buying the set called "Mathlink Cubes (set of 100)" on amazon. Much better quality and normal colors. Highly recommend those. 2... in a remote and underfunded school I was so happy to get these blocks for my studentsAs a Special Education Teacher in a remote and underfunded school I was so happy to get these blocks for my students. They are super helpful for the kids who struggle to add and subtract. We use them for teaching math, colours, and even letter identification. I am so happy I was able to get these and my students love them. 5They're fineI didn't purchase the most expensive set of these that there was, so I guess I can't expect top quality. They're not "poor" quality, they're just not great. The edges are really sharp - not like knife sharp like having to worry about being cut on them or anything... it's just something to be aware of when snapping them together and taking them apart so you don't get scratched. The colors are very vibrant though and they snap together like they're supposed to (minus that actual "snap" sound that I'm reminiscent of from using these myself in elementary school). 4Better than unifix!I already had a set of Unifix cubes which were well loved and well-worn, so when my mother in law recommended these to go with a workbook, I turned her down at first. But then when she bought us a set anyway, I was thrilled. I didn't realize from the picture online that they could snap together any way you want. But this makes them far more versatile than the Unifix (which only snap top/bottom). You can make different shapes out of these, including rectangles or capital letters. You can make 3-D shapes too. You can illustrate many basic mathematical concepts more creatively. My four year old even liked lacing them onto a shoelace for fun!I am a big fan of cubes in general, but these are such an upgrade. 5I was hopeful...The concept is so great that I give it 2 stars, the 3 "missing" stars are for this quality and ridiculously cheap plastic that isn't really worth more than 3 bucks...Colors are close to what they look on the picture (less vibrant though), number is 100 (10 of each color) but the cubes just don't work as interlocking... Most of them are too hard to assemble for tiny hands or so loose that they would not stay connected... Very disapppointing unless you want to spend hours looking for a perfect combination of male/female pieces that would accidentally fit great... Which is not our case. (If so, good luck with it and don't forget to draw symbols on these to recognize them next time :-)!)Overall good for counting, sorting, multiplying, adding etc... but you would be pretty well served with lego blocks or counting bears or just beads for that... So if the interlocking function is important to you just try another brand! 2Great counting tool!Great counting tool for the new little math wiz's out there! My son loves using them to help with addition and subtraction and after doing his work he uses them to build fighting robots with lol. Not the very best quality of plastic or whatever....material seems "thin" but it will do. They weren't very expensive and I'm thinking of ordering a second set just because my son is learning to count by ten and learning to break down numbers as hundreds, tens, and ones. 5Excellent company, not the best blocks they offer. Not happy with these at all. I was looking for a second set to go with our math curriculum. These appeared to be the same thing but they are cheaply made. The colors are not at all vibrant, more importantly they feel terrible in the hand, and easily fall apart. I won't go so far as to call them sharp, however they certainly do not feel good on your hands while working with them.*Update! After seeing my review the company contacted me about the product. They offered to send another set, but different type, of linking cube. The new cubes are fantastic, and my kids actually fight over who gets to use them during math. The new blocks have a soft, almost rubbery, texture and the edges are rounded so they don't bother our hands. I so dislike the original blocks I purchased, but I have to say this company has fantastic customer service and I will definitely buy their products again! 1These are NOT as good as Unifix cubesI was looking to buy unifix cubes for my Kindergartener, which I am very familiar with as a teacher. These looked similar in nature, but a bit smaller. Upon receiving them, I found them hard to pull apart and put together. As my daugter demonstrated to me, she had to try to hammer them together, and then we noticed some would not stay together, b/c the holes appeared to be slightly different sizes, and the cubes would slip out from one another. I would not recommend these, and have decided to go name brand. 2
