    Top qualityArrived today and I was pleased with packaging, top quality of the pieces, no little sharp edges, no little holes for water to get in. Daycares are required to sanitize often and little holes where water can enter can breed microorganisms so having the product solid is great. The only exception was the bowl of cereal and mac and cheese, they have two parts so you have to be careful to empty all the water. You can also finish the rinse with rubbing alcohol to sanitize. It helps to evaporate the water that you can't get to.I bought these along with the tote bag and fruit and veggies for my little one and she has not yet had an opportunity to play with them but I know she will love them! At only 18 mos she serves fruit on a plate and carefully carries it to you. So these toys are as much fun for the adults as the kids :-) 5MehI was looking for realistic food for my daughters kitchen. This was not it. You can tell from the picture that it isn't super realistic, but I thought it would be ok anyway. It wasn't until I saw it first hand that I realized it looks a bit like church nursery food. You know what I'm talking about...when you were a kid and played with that plastic kitchen in the nursery that someone donated. It had the table that flipped up on one end? Yeah, that's what the food reminded me of. I returned it. I don't think I would recommend this food - especially not as a gift! 2my toddler LOVES this setMy son has a small, previously loved kitchen set in our playroom. I wanted some play food that wasn't cardboard boxes (he would tear them to shreds) and had a variety of items that he would recognize. We're both happy with this set of play food. I love that they are quality items (the plastic is sturdy and doesn't collapse when he handles it) perfectly sized for his hands. He knows what all of it should be and can hand me whatever I ask for and try to tell me what each item is called. He especially loves the muffin, as it came with the blueberries inside it. He likes to hide the blueberries inside, take them out, hide them, etc. He also loves the cookie and the yogurt. He pretends to eat them both with the spoons.I want to purchase the other food sets made by Learning Resources. Very happy with this purchase. 5My first purchase of Learning Resources play food, but not my last! :)This set of play food DOES cost a bit more than other sets, but well worth the few extra $$. Most of the items look very life-like (except maybe for their size, but that's to be expected) & have a nice texture. I like the variety of foods; you have breakfast, lunch, & dinner! I wish the juice box had 'Juice' printed on it, or something, it's a bit plain looking. The yogurt, also. I'm not sure why the muffin comes apart. If it were the whole muffin inside, it would be ok, but it's only the top part of the muffin, which I think is a little odd. Too bad the hot dog doesn't have ketchup or mustard on it, but no biggie. Those few little factors are why I gave it four stars & not five, but definitely not a deal breaker! Don't think you can go wrong with this set. 4I love most of this setI love most of this set. I like this brand of toy foods more than any other brand out there currently because they make most of their items so durable. Most of these pieces are a rubbery plastic. They're fun to hold and play with and are made to last. A couple things I would have wanted to know prior to purchasing: the cheerios and macaroni noodles do NOT come out of the bowls (which is fine, but would have been something fun to take out and put in), the hot dog does NOT come out of the bun, the yogurt cup doesn't have the fun rubbery feel to it, and the two pieces of bread are very thin hollow rubber that might not last as well as the other pieces. Also, the muffin is two pieces, a muffin top that fits inside of an empty muffin cup holder. Overall, this set was one of the best deals made by Learning Resources New Sprouts and I'm glad I got it. The blueberries are an original and fun item, especially since my daughter loves to eat the real ones. :) 4Perfect play food for toddlersLove this play food! It's more squishy and soft compared to the cheap plastic food I've gotten in the past. And it looks so real. The pictures comparing the food doesn't even do it justice. You need to feel the difference. I have thrown away so many pieces of play food because they chewed on it but with this, it seems like it'll hold up to chewing toddlers. 5Great Set. Worth the extra $$I researched play food sets fro my grandchild's birthday. Many other sets received complaints of flimsy plastic, items quickly broken and worst of all the color flaking off the food. This set received good reviews with no complaints of flaking paint, though there weren't many reviews probably because of the higher price. I am very happy with this set even though it is smaller and costlier than others. The pieces are nicely sized. The cereal and macaroni inside the bowls have a rubbery texture that make them look and feel real. My granddaughter and her friends love playing with it, and we don't have to worry when they put it in their mouths. My one complaint is the "blueberries" are quite small. I removed them as I am afraid they can present a choking hazard. Still happy with the set though 5Awesome and improved!My 2 yo LOVES this play food and so do I! Some reviewers complain that it's too small and not life size, but it's supposed to be small. It's for small hands! And it's perfect for my tiny girl. It's a nice flexible plastic so less likely to crack than some of the harder plastic toys we've had.Some reviewers also complained of funny smells. This must have been fixed because we did not have this problem.Also at least one reviewer complained (with pictures) that the Mac and cheese and cereal were poorly glued together. This was also not a problem for us. (See pics).My only two complaints are with the bread and muffin. This is supposed to be a healthy collection of food so I wish the bread was whole wheat. Also the muffin comes apart too easily. My daughter complains often that the "lid fell off." Not a deal breaker by any means. I will probably just glue it together. 5Nice set but we do not like the MuffinI love this set but the only thing that I did not like was the muffin that came in the set. I understand that the muffin can be take apart so that fruits can be place inside, such as blueberries, so that it can be a blueberry muffin etc, but I did not like that it was a hard plastic instead of the silicone/rubbery type texture that all of the other items have. The muffin also does not stay together well, so it is often found in two pieces. Other than that the set is up to the standard that we love when it come to the Learning Resource New sprouts line of food. 5Durable, more realistic toy foodThis stuff is sturdy. My 2yo twins are working on their last molars and while other play food we have has permanent tooth marks or is straight up destroyed, all the Learning Resources stuff is going strong.The items are large enough that they aren't choking hazards, and small enough that they can be stored in a play kitchen.My only complaint is that there is only one macaroni bowl, and both twins always want the "PASTA CHEESE" and fight over it. Hardly a fault of the product though. I will be buying additional Learning Resources sets and the mac n cheese bowl is included in a few others, so I won't need to buy the exact same set twice to get our second bowl. 5
