Customer Reviews

Well worth the money.Fun and educational. Kids compared it to Monopoly but found it to be more realistic to life. Six year old needed some help reading the board and counting money but I can see it will definitely teach her how to count out her money. She was really into learning her coins and counting it. Seven year old had no problem reading the board and counting money but it did give him additional education regarding the use of the bank and dealing with larger amounts of money or making change. 5Great game for 5 year olds. Teaches how to be practical with money.Every child who attains the age of 5 should play this game. We play it with real money, but fake bills, and let the kids take the money home if they like and they will like that. We keep a bucket of change that we don't like in our pocket or purse and get it out when we play. That way, the kids learn about money and how to save it and where it goes. I went broke the first time I played. It's sort of like Monopoly. You shake the single dice and see where you land. I kept landing on buying something. The kids learn how to read dice also. I highly recommend this game. Fun and easy, for all to play. Save your coins!Jonnie Johnson 5good quality entertainmentGreat homeschool tool, but also just generally fun for probably most families. Definitely not a cooperative game- it does encourage competition and has realistic looking plastic money and paper money. My kids are 4 and 6 and they need an adult playing along, but the adults enjoy the monetary highs and lows, ha! 5Daughter has been begging for this gameMy daughter plays this game at school, in the library, during rainy day recesses. The game has a monopoly feel to it - go around the board & either collect money, or pay the bank. You can "buy" a lemonade stand, and collect fees every time an opponent lands on it. Or "deposit" money in the bank & collect "interest" every time you land on it.This is a quick playing game- as in, the first person that has $20 in front of them, wins the game. So it can easily be played during a 15 or 20 minute recess. It also introduces value to certain things- like earning. $3.50 for babysitting, but walking the neighbor's dog only earns 50 cents. There are also different penalties for late library book vs. breaking a window. (all if these are different squares on the board)It is fun to play, but definitely has a target audience of elementary aged children. As for educational- it helps tighten concepts of dollars/cents. Counting coins & making change. 5Great educational game that teaches children how to manage money.A great educational game that teaches a child how to manage money. Playing the game they will earn money in a variety of ways and also spend money in a variety ways. What I like the most about this game is that it is simple enough for a child to relate to (ages 11 and under) and it teaches that earning money just doesn't come from an allowance from mom and dad, etc. and also that spending isn't isolated to toys or ice cream that everything costs money. I have used this with kids of various ages and they all have come away with an understanding of finances. It depends on where you land if you are earning or spending in that turn which really is as close to real life as you can get as there is always expenses, etc... 5Best game I've seen to teach young kids "value proposition"It took my 5-year old son a week of playing this to learn about money and the meaning of "value proposition." Nuff said. We now barter over chores and his responsibilities, and he has new confidence in making change, so much so that he likes to pay for his own stuff at the market/store. 5We really like this game!Bought this game to show the importance of knowing/using money to my twins (9yrs) in a fun relatable way. It s PERFECT! Easy to understand and play. Doesn t take alllll day (like monopoly). I also wanted a game they could eventually play TOGETHER...which would allow me to watch them...smileN 5Allowance GameI bought a bunch of these for Christmas gifts last year and everyone I gave one too has said that the kids love the game and they all play it on Family Night. It teaches and they learn while they are having fun. Will have to see what I find this year with Lakeshore 5FUN game! My kids (ages 14FUN game! My kids (ages 14, 9 and 3) were not excited to pop open the box, but once they got playing they had a lot of fun! They have played it a few times and as a parent I like it. It's a lot like monopoly, but a game my 9 year old can play on his own. The 3 year old helped with the banking and with rolling the dice. The only thing I would suggest is that the coins were put in some sort of holder/box for easier grabbing off the board, but other than that it's been great! 5I like it and so do my sons but my husband ...This game had mixed signals for my family. I like it and so do my sons but my husband is not a fan. He says it is not realistic, and I disagree I feel like in a kids life they would be spending all the time because that it was children would do. Great game for teaching children about money, and life. Not necessarily a fun game though. Worth the price for an educational game. 3
