PLASTIC PLAY FOOD - not wooden as photo advertisesThe product image advertises WOODEN play food, and many customer reviews state theirs came with wooden play food. However, the package I received came with cheap PLASTIC play food. I am very disappointed about this, because a big reason I chose this product was because it's supposed to come with wooden play food. This might not be a problem for a lot of customers, but it is not what I thought I was paying for.The pots and pans seem to be good quality, and I am pleased with them. 3It's all stainless steel and looks well made and sturdy. Although they are in proportion to the pots and pans, some are so small they may cause choking. The carrot in particular because of the shape is the perfect size to fit in a child's throat. I am undecided as to whether I will give this food item to my grand daughter. She's only two and she doesn't usually put things in her mouth but you never know. Over all, this looks like something she will really enjoy. I am giving it for Christmas along with the KidKraft Espresso Kitchen, so it should be the perfect fit. I also bought the KidKraft dishes and a set of the play food. With the huge set of plastic food items, I doubt she would miss these small wooden pieces. The fried egg that came with this is very cute though and not too small at all. 5Fun, durable, and makes cooking fun for our little oneWe ordered these accessories to go with the KidKraft Kitchen for our daughter. She absolutely loves mimicking what we do so when she saw these pans on her kitchen on morning she pointed at them and practcally squealed with delight. Now she pretends to make us breakfast and even flips one pan on top of the other to "present" us with our meal. These are the perfect size for the grill tops on the kitchen and durable enough to survive quite a few drops on a tile floor without any dents. I would definitely recommend getting these. At first I thought the price was a little high but it definitely reflects the quality of the cookware. 5Her favorite piece is the fried eggMy daughter is two. I got this set for her for Christmas this last year. She loves to cook. I bought this along with a play kitchen for her. These pots and pans are really well made and stand up to a lot of rough play and bath time play. Her favorite piece is the fried egg. I can't recommend this set highly enough. There are no especially small pieces that a small child could put in their mouth and choke on and each piece is so well made that she has enjoyed hours and hours of imaginative play. 5Plastic FoodItem arrived with different food than pictured. There is wood food in the picture and several reviews mention this wood food. The food that came with my order is cheap and plastic. I wouldn't have ordered the item if I had known it would come with plastic food. I am returning this purchase. The metal pans seem of okay quality, though made in China, but I did not pay $17 for just three pans. I will find another more appropriate set 1Perfect set for my son's kitchen...This is a great little set... love the look of the pots and pans and they're the perfect size for my son's kitchen. The food pieces are all wooden and good quality. 5Perfect sizeI spent so much time trying to decide which pot and pans set to get cause I wanted a decent size. These are perfect, I used a normal sized soda can so you can get a better idea of the size. My son LOVES it! He's been pulling all our pots out for months and I bought some kid ones prior to this purchase but they were so tiny I just returned. So so so happy with these. The food in the images are also from kidcraft's play food service just an fyi (: Definitely buy if your looking for some great sized pots and pans for your little one. 5What you see in pics is not what you'll getI am so disappointed with this set. You will not be getting the nice wooden food pieces shown in the pictures. Those have been replaced with cheaply made plastic pieces. The drumstick plastic was so thin on ours that it arrived caved in on one side & there's no way to fix it so we tossed that piece straight out of the box. The other food pieces are so cheap that we'll be doing good if they make it a week in this house. The packaging was perfect which makes me think it came that way from the manufacturer & wasn't something that happened during shipment. My nephews have this same set & the food pieces that came with their set are nice thick painted wooden pieces that go great with other big brand wooden food sets you can buy & have held up well. The only positive are the pots. The extremely small box is deceiving but they are just nested inside. The pots & pans are the perfect size for my toddler & fit his kidkraft kitchen well. Those are nice but I'd like to point out for only $5 more you can purchase another big brand set & you'll end up with more cookware pieces + the stand too. What set this set apart & the main reason I chose it was because of the nice wooden food items shown in the pictures...especially the fried egg. The wooden fried egg was a favorite at my sister's house. The fried egg we received was cheap plastic that was so warped it wouldn't even sit flat on the frying pan. I currently have a heavy book on it trying to flatten it back out. The food items are cheaply made & remind me of the food sets sold at dollar store. We were excited about to giving my son this set & looking forward to a lot of fun play time like we had with my nephews but this was a disappointment. Kidkraft ruined a really nice reasonably priced set when they decided to cheapen it by changing out the food pieces. By the way my mother in law ordered a set just 2 weeks earlier & she received the nice wooden food they show in the pictures so I'm assuming this is a very recent change KidKraft has made or maybe I'm just really unlucky. If you're ordering solely for the cookware & don't care about the food this is a nice set although I think it's more expensive then it should be for 3 pots/pans & 2 spatulas. 1Ok for pretend but not interactive play with KidKraft KitchenThis set was purchased to go with a KidKraft kitchen. The pots and pans don't lend much to interactive play because they are not customized to activate the lights and sounds feature of the stove-top burners. I should have purchased the Melissa & Doug pots and pans but thought the same company as the kitchen would be a better fit despite the reviews I read. 3Lightweight, sturdy kitchen setReally glad I got this metal set for my 3 year olds kitchen as opposed to some of the wooden kinds. Ive looked at friends wooden sets and found them to be too heavy, harder to clean and they chipped easily. This set is light weight, well made, shiny (what kid doesn't like shiny?) and even comes with some little random food items. Also, they are the perfect size for little hands.They fit perfectly with my KidKraft kitchen and with my other Melissa and Doug food items.It also go to me really quickly (yay Amazon Prime :) ).I would definitely recommend this item to anyone looking for a pot/ pan set for their childs' kitchen- its great. 5
