Self flying beautiful colors!!! Perfect for first time flyers or kids.These are the easiest flying kites I have ever used! We bought them for a beach trip, but first tried them out in our field. With a little breeze, they just pick themselves up and climb as high as you let them. You can't get them to do anything fancy like going right or left or do circles or anything like that.At the beach, we attached them to our cabana and just left them flying for hours! It was fun to see the birds fly up to them to check them out. At night we added a glow bracelet to one of them and it looked like a flying saucer!These are much bigger than we imagined and are well made out of nylon and not plastic. We flew them everyday for hours at the beach and they still look brand new. They come with individual nylon bags to store them in and then another nylon bag that holds the two bags to keep them together.THE STRINGMy big question when buying these was whether or not to buy better string. Well, as I said above, we flew these for hours a day for an entire week at the beach without any problems. The string was strong enough and long enough.I highly recommend buying these if you are headed to the beach, because if you try to buy a kite at the beach, it's going to cost you three times as much to get this same quality! 5Squid!Took these to the beach and flew them instantly. My only issue is that you have to tie the the kite to the strings. We figured it out, but next time I'd buy like a toggle thing, maybe. Otherwise, they looked great, and where really easy to fly. 5Great priceOur friends have twin daughters who are turning 3 years old. Their parents are trying to take them camping more often so we decided to buy them these kites so they have activities to do with the girls when they are on their trips. I loved kites growing up and so I thought it would be neat for the twins to get excited watching them take off.These arrived quickly and packaged nicely. Within the main package, each kite came individually packed in its own carrying pouch. I like that the pouches have a velcro closure and that they are color coordinated. They also come with instructions which is helpful. The kites are larger than I expected so I was pleasantly surprised. I'm impressed with the colors. They are vibrant and just as photoed. The kite material seems fine, not the highest quality, but not horrible either. It's a little thin and paper-like? But they look like they will hold up just fine. For the price of two kites, I'm not disappointed with the product that I received!I can't wait to see these in action! 4These Octopus/Jellyfish kites soar, stay high beautifully! A+Everything about this set of kites was A+. The packaging is superior-- the two kites were separately packed inside lightweight 'fabric' bags with velcro closures and then contained within the total package also with a velcro closure. The kite string was already tied to key points (no struts necessary). We only needed to tie the string wrapped around part of the handle to the handy collection of attached strings. The best part was flying this kite along the shore of Lake Superior in Burt Twp, Baraga Co., MI this summer. The kite collected the air right away and soared. Bright blue sky and flying high was the exciting octopus/jellyfish. Even more perfect --- it was a 10 year old flying the kite. 5It s a bird! It s a plane! It s a...flying octopus?!We took these two kites out for a maiden voyage today and they were a HUGE hit. A 5/5 on the hit scale. Colorful, easy to put together, and even with virtually no wind, the kids were able to get their respective 8-tentacled friend up into the air, gliding gracefully. The one relatively small issue (hence the four star rating) is that for some reason, the rainbow streamers (tentacles) on the red octopus ran the full gamut of the typical rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, plus a turquoise thrown in). The green octopus s streamers, sadly, did not include all the colors (orange was missing), and certain younger siblings were not so happy that the older sibling got the actual rainbow . Besides that, we had a truly magical afternoon thanks to these little flying creatures. Thanks for offering such a fun, colorful, high-quality product! 4Awesome, Easy to Fly Kites!These were a huge hit with my Grandchildren! For years we've taken an annual trip to stay beachfront on Wells Beach, Maine. Every year there are kite flyers and through the years we've attempted to fly "traditional" kites - hard to get airborne and to keep up - leading to a lot of frustration for young children (and old grandparents!). This year I decided to do a little research and actually read up on kites and paid attention to the reviews. I immediately fell in love with these, thinking how cute they would look over the ocean. They are amazing! Right out of the package (by the way they are VERY big and those tentacles are long, long, long) because of the chamber construction, they are up and away!! I had purchased additional kite string for them and in no time they were flying high at about 500'. My grandchildren (ages 6 and 10) loved them and had complete control. They soon discovered that a quick jerk on the kite string would result in them have a swimming motion towards the water. They attracted a LOT of positive attention and many admirers stopped to watch them in the air. Refolding them neatly for storage in the beautiful little pouches supplied was a bit of a challenge (I ended up laying the kite on a bed, rolling and fastening the tentacles first) but no impossible. I would highly recommend them and would purchase them again in a heartbeat! Great value for the bargain price! 5Great Kites! Easy to fly.These are the most adorable kites! We love flying them and they are so easy to get up in the air, even with a minimal breeze. They seem to be well made, although we've only flown them a couple of times. I really like how there is no structure to the kite--no dowels or rods to break, and they fold up nicely in the little pouch they come with. The string attached to the kite is very sturdy. I tied a split key ring to the strands from the kite, and then attached my flying string to that and I think it will hold up well. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with very much flying string. It's enough to get it in the air a ways, but wish it was just a bit longer. Not a big enough deal to drop a star, we really like these kites, and you can't beat the price for two of them! 52 Pack - Mixed Bag.Would give one kite 4 stars, second kite 1 star. Took the kids out on the beach this weekend with these kites. My daughters kite was good - decent height, occasionally swerved left and right which was nice. Second kite would barely reach a height of 20 feet, with no swerving. My son was really disappointed. I checked to make sure the strings were correct and not tangled in any way. After some analysis I found that the middle baffle's ends were turning in which was causing the problem. The placement of the stitched loop was different from the first kites. It is a quality issue, which is hard to rectify when they cost $14. But the fact is, it wouldn't fly well and left my son disappointed on the first nice day this summer. 2Even one of these high quality kites at this price would have been outstanding..............but two was a stealI was getting tired of low priced kites that did not even make it out of the box without damage, much less in the air.Every few weeks my four year old asks where her kite is, and we have to remind her that the newest iteration of her kite broke, didn't work, wouldn't fly, etc.So when we saw this product including two kites for such a low price we were skeptical, but our daughter saw us looking and informed us she wanted them. Especially the purple one.I ordered a different reel and string from Amazon as I know the ones most kites come with are cheap and do not work. This one was no different, so I was glad I purchased the reel type separately.When the product arrived it was nicely packaged, had pouches made of kite material for both kites and they were of great quality. We have flown them many times and they just keep working.Joshua Garfinkle 5They look good in the air, but beware the tangle! Very disappointedGot ridiculously tangled after just one flight. I took these with my friends and family to the DC kite festival, which is a blast btw. Well, nothing but disaster ensued. They are VERY difficult to get into the air because of all the strings and flyers. Once in the air, if you get that far, they look very cool. But, the legs will get tangled with strings and just about anything within 50 ft of them. Once you bring it down, it is impossible to repack without them getting tangled further. I tried to salvage them, but it was taking literally hours, so I tossed them. Truly a waste of money and the kids were disappointed that their kites didn't work as well as most of the others. 2
