Customer Reviews

Great product for young music lover!I purchased this for my two year old nephew who is a music fanatic, and it was a HIT!! He absolutely loves it. It has the appearance of a "real" guitar, but has the durability needed for a young child. The pic being attached is brilliant, and he was quite proud to have a pic to play with just like his Pawpaw. I am an early childhood professional, and familiar with many brands of toys for youngsters. This toy more than fits the standard I hold for purchasing toys for children in my own family. I would highly recommend this for any young music lover, as well as any collector. We purchased the "sunburst" design, and it was a beautiful toy.5The guitar is nice and the size for a toddler is appropriateI purchased this guitar for my 3yo. The guitar is nice and the size for a toddler is appropriate. However, the guitar cannot hold a tune. Even after several attempts to tune it, we could not figure out a way to make a more pleasant sound. That being said, my son still enjoys the guitar and has been carryinv around for a while now. The guitar seems sturdy even for a not so gentle toddler.4Not tunableThis is a beautiful guitar, but it is impossible to tune. The strings will not stay taught. At least one goes completely slack as soon as you let go of the tuneing knob. My 2 year old grandson knows guitars because his father is an acomplished guitarist, and he wanted a "real" guitar like his dad's. He won't touch this thing because it goes thunk when he strokes it.1perfect toy with un-toy-like stringsMy 2 y-o loves music, so I wanted to get her her first guitar for her birthday. It's a toy to be sure, but I wanted one as un-toy-like as possible and this was exactly what I hoped for. She will strum and pluck actual guitar strings and not rubber bands or lanyards, but it's also not something we need to feel precious about. she can drop it or bang it against the wall as she walks around with it all she likes. the plastic body is sturdy.I was very pleased with the quality and the price point - this was exactly what I was hoping for.4watch for sharp exposed stringsAlthough my grandson loved playing this guitar while watching a Lenny Kravitz concert, I had to take it away from him when I noticed that some of the string ends were exposed and very, very sharp. In fact when one of the strings came off and while I was trying to attach it again, the sharp end stuck in my finger like a knife. I am trying to find a way to un-expose the string ends before I give it back to him. I do not have the packaging to return it.3GUITAR FOR A SMALL CHILDI think this little guitar is a good price for the product. I read other reviews about how it doesn't stay in tune as the pegs loosen. But I think it is only fair to note that the guitar is very inexpensive and basically for a small child, not a musical virtuous. It is a very good first choice for 3-5 year old. I will purchase another one for my Grandson if it should break. At this price point it is a good option for a small child.5Great looking toy guitar.First off, this is not a real guitar, so do not expect anything sounding like a real guitar. It is lightweight and does not sound like a real thing. However, it looks really, really good. It's appearance is very impressive for what it is and the price. It has great coloring, shine and overall looks like a real guitar, albeit much smaller. You can tune the strings fairly easily by turning the knobs and it does change the sound of the strings. I am not a musician so I am not able to tune it properly, but I know enough about music to know you could probably get it close if you had a music ear. With that said, it likely will not hold the tune very long. But hey, its for kids and its a toy. If you want a real guitar, this is not the one. This is a toy and a great looking one at that. I haven't tried it, but I would think you could outfit it with real guitar strings and you may be able to get some decent sound. Maybe a good DIY project for a guitarist who knows what they're doing. Anyway, our 4yr old son enjoys it and we've had a few jam sessions with his toy drums.4Very cool looking guitar, real strings, modified it to work betterReading the other reviews I 100% agree you won t be able to truly tune this guitar, but to be fair it s a toy. To get it close you can use a screwdriver to tighten the tuning knob screws and get the strings pretty tight. They will hold well even when kids are rough with the strings. This works great and gives a realistic feel for 1 yr olds. Only problem is it causes the bottom of the guitar to break away from the black frame because the tighter strings pull up at the bridge/saddle (lower end of guitar). Might not make sense until you look at my pictures and my solution. I installed two 3.5 screws and locking nuts to hold it all together and held up great even with the extra stress of the tight strings. So far it works great and provides a convincing enough sound so kids will be happy using this guitar rather than wanting to play with your real one :)4For $20 it's really nice.My son loves this guitar. It's obviously just a toy, not for actual music. For $20 it's really nice.5My kid likes it, but it's garbage. This thing cannot be close to tuned. Like, you start turning the peg, realize it won't tighten enough to get close to the correct note, and as soon as you take your finger off the peg it drops down a note anyway. It's *that* bad.Let's break it down word-for-word:Liberty: Well, I don't really see how they got that name...Imports: That much is obvious.23 Inch: Haven't busted out the ruler but I'll take their word for it.Happy: Factually incorrect.Tune: Also factually incorrect.6-String: There are 6, this much is true.Acoustic: It does make noise.Guitar: GINO.Kids Toy: Does it entertain a kid? SureVibrant Sounds: Ehh...that's stretching it a bit. I wouldn't call it vibrant.Realistic Strings: They do feel like real strings. But EADGBE is not attainable. At all. This is more the fault of the pegs than the strings.Beginner: Certainly not intermediate.Practice: I suppose you could practice how to hold a guitar and look cool.Musical: My kid is more musical after eating beans for dinner.Instrument: Instrument of suffering, more like it.3
