    Replacing 25-Year Old MuttsyI was thrilled to find this beloved puppy was still available. I first purchased Muttsy for my niece when she was 5 years old (25 years ago).Her son (now 3 years old) inherited that original Muttsy. Muttsy has become his favorite toy, constant companion, and sleep partner. Muttsy was also his comforting companion during a recent surgery. We weren't sure how many more "washings" Muttsy could endure. So I decided to see if I could find a back up, just in case our original fell apart.I was delighted to find out that Muttsy was still available. My great-nephew hasn't seen the new Muttsy yet - the new Muttsy will appear when he is needed. I have no doubt that the new Muttsy will be enjoyed by this generation, and hopefully passed along to the next generation with as much love an affection as the old one.I can't think of another toy that has the same timeless appeal and endurance. 5Cuddly soft and loveable!I bought Muttsy for my 5 yr old Grandson for Christmas. He loves it. So cuddly. I don't know what everyone is talking about fur flying all over the place, the one I got, there were no issues and my Grandson was hugging and petting it. He was really happy with it which made me happy I bought him Muttsy! 5Absolutely Adorable!This is EXACTLY what I was looking for for my puppy-loving daughter. He is so soft and cuddly and is the perfect size! Love the shaggy fur!! And the paws are adorable felt material! So happy with this purchase! I bought two stuffed Gund puppies from Amazon, and this one wins, no contest! 5Great quality: soft, cuddly, well made.I bought my first Gund dog in 2000. I bought the dog for my husband when he was very sick. I named the dog Lucky, & he brought my husband good health. I recently bought twin dogs for my 21/2 year old twin grandsons ( they love Lucky). Your new dogs r even softer & I am sure will last a long time . I only wish u still put the gold Gund medallion on the ear. I bought different color collars for each dog & once the twins name their dogs I will get them name tags. I personally don't like the plastic Gund tag that comes on the dog.I pulled on fur, legs & ears and nothing came off. Gund will will b there for many years for the twins. Thank u 5A great puppy!When my just-turned 21 year-old granddaughter was born, I gave her "Muttsy" who became "Puppy." Puppy has never left her side in these 21 years, shabby as it now is.I thought it would be neat to give her a dog just like it to become "Puppy 2" so ordered another "Muttsy." She got it with a note "Will you keep ME for 21 years?" It is identical except the color for the 21 year-old puppy is lighter.Needless to say, she loved it. 5Sheds/horrible qualityThis toy sheds and is not the same color as the picture, more of a yellow color. Not as expected, and very disappointed. We have a miniature red/ apricot color poodle and I thought this would be a perfect gift as my daughter has been wanting a stuffed animal like her dog. But this is definitely not worth $27 I wouldn t even pay $10. GUND is known for their quality but this felt very cheap and it sheds, I returned this and don t recommend it. 2Not as expectedNot as impressed with this as I'd hoped to be... Paid around $20 for those, so I expected it to be a bit more plush and especially for the hairs to be evenly trim. After opening it from the air tight bag, I fluffed him up as best I could. There were a lot of longer hairs, so I had to give him a little trim in places. My daughter wasn't as engaged with this stuffed animal as she is with others... Don't know why.. 3Extremely disappointedVery cute stuffed dog BUT its fur sheds very badly! I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased this, as there are quite a few on here who have also experienced an excessive amount of shedding from this stuffed dog which can be a choking hazard/safety issue for babies and small children. I am very disappointed with this purchase and the lack of quality from such a popular brand. 1Oh so soft and cuddly. Floppy and soft makes it so easy to cuddle and carry around.Oh so cute and oh so soft.Purchased this for a friends little girl who loves puppies.I cannot explain just how soft this little guy is. Not only is his fur soft, but the stuffing in him is oh so squeeze-ably soft too. All four legs are floppy, which makes it very easy to position in many ways. The floppiness also makes him very easy to cuddle and carry.The only teeny downside to this, is that the fur seems to shed and leave a little lint on darker clothing.My friend said she tumbled it in the dryer (without washing it first) when she noticed the shedding, and that seemed to help a ton.He's so cute, I almost hated to give him away! 5Serious SheddingI had a Mutsy growing up and purchased this for my new baby. She is just getting old enough to grasp for it and I now don't want to give it to her because of the amount it is shedding. I've found pieces of fur in her mouth, between fingers in her eyelashes, etc. I tried to return it and can't because it has been more than 30 days. I'm so disappointed because I had visions of this being her special toy like it was mine. :( 1
