    Not returnable, hard to take apart, hugeMy biggest beef is it's not returnable! I can't find anywhere in the description that says it isn't--it feels deceptive, especially for such an expensive toy from what seems to be a good company. I wanted to return because unlike the tugboat (which we LOVE), it is very difficult to take apart to clean--it's made of many more parts and TONS of tiny tabs that you would need a tool to access. I also don't like how huge it is, about 1.5 times as big as the boat--takes up the whole bathtub. 1In the air or on the water....My specialty is in Early Childhood Education, I've been in the field for 8+ years. I am also a mother. These experiences have developed my ability to see high quality children's materials. As an educator and a parent I understand what will work for a young child's growing development and curiosity. My reviews are based on products durability, safety, and how it fosters a child developmentally.Pros:- I love the simple design of this Seaplane.- It's easy for little hands to manipulate this toy.- Well made and best part, it's made in the USA!- My little one loves moving this truck around, it's lightweight and easy to move around, even on carpet or in the sandbox.- The propeller spins.- Electronic free toy.Please Click YES if this was helpful.PS - Writing reviews has become a hobby for me, and it is always exciting to know that people find my reviews helpful (and if not, why.) They're much larger than I anticipated which makes them that much more worth the money. Good quality plastic. Makes for great bath toys! 5Nice toy. Truly well made.The Green Toys vehicle toys may be more expensive than the cheaply-made, imported crap that tends to dominate the toy market but the Green Toys submarine (and others in the same line) truly stand out as well-made and sturdy enough to hold up against the continuous combined assault of 4-year old twin boys. Also, their manufacture employs folks close to home. 5It's Good, You Can Buy it if You Want To.I love that these are made from recycled material and made in the USA. My kid really thought it was cool too.I'm probably being overly picky, but there are a couple of things that bothered me about this. - It doesn't come with the cute bear! :-) - The packaging was cardboard (I think recycled). But I just thought cardboard package inside a cardboard box was a little excessive. - The toy doesn't feel super solid. I did buy it based on the reviews that talked about how well it held up. But you'll notice, they are surprised. So I think that it'll hold up, it just doesn't feel as solid as I had imagined.All in all though, it's a great toy. I feel like there is so much imagination held inside a floating seaplane. Plus my kid loves it, that's pretty hard to beat. 4great giftI bought this item at full price as a gift for my 2 year old nephew.I was looking for items to give as a gift and wanted something with safe plastic so I searched for BPA free gifts for 2 year olds. I kept coming across this company, "Green Toys." I loved that they are made of recycled milk jugs. It just made me feel better about buying the toy. the toy seems very well built, it looks like some time was actually put into designing this build. there are no crappy seems along the sides, no sharp edges. I really liked that all their toys float. my nephew just moved into a house with a pool and i thought this would be a great summer toy. from what I saw he really liked it. 5Very happy with this purchase.My son loves these toys. Made in the USA and 100% recycled what eles could you want! These are very well made and will last along time. Unlike some cheeply made toy from overseas. The size of these toys are perfect for the bath, pool or spa. I love how they will float, or fill with water and sink. Then easily drain with the drain vents The price is right as well. I will be buying more, very happy with this purchase. 5Really Durable, Colors LackingI bought this as a bath toy for my son once he could sit up without falling over. Since then he's a bath time pro. The problem with this as a bath toy is that it's really big! I knew Green Toys were big before I bought this, but only realized the dimensions of the toy went it was floating in the water with my son next to it. I love how it's basically a recycled milk jug, but I wish colors they use on some of the toys weren't so boring and unimaginative. However, these have been used and abused and don't have a single scuff, mark, or dent. So, they are really durable. 3A unique Christmas gift!I liked the way this little airplane looked as soon as I saw it in person. I almost kept it just as a decor/display item, but figured little guy would like his gift ! Seems to be durable and safe for a kids play. Arrived with another toy from the same seller/manufacturer, a ferry boat with big plastic (little kid's size for little hands) cars and trucks on it. All items from recycled plastic and safe for kids...no small parts. Delivery was flawless, good wrapping, and so on.... 5Nice looking Sea Plane sinks too easy.Cool looking sea plane. It's bigger then I imagined it would be. Almost too big for really small kids. Propeller spins. It kinda floats. The problem is that it sinks with the smallest ripple in the water. In the picture of the plane you will see vents located on the top of the pontoons. When the plane sits in the water it floats but the smallest ripple causes water to go into the pontoons causing the plane to sink. Our family used the plane in the hot tub and movement of the water from the jets would cause the plane to constantly sink. Search the other reviews for the word "sink" and you will see that it is a common complaint. After it sinks if you turn it upside down out of the water it quickly drains and then kinda floats again. The manufacture should add some kind of flaps that let water out but make it harder for water to get in. 3
