Great for bath or poolI saw another family with this boat at the pool and decided I had to have one. I love the fact that it comes apart for easy cleaning. It is a very sturdy toy and my one year old seems to really enjoy it. We use it for bath time and pool fun. It works great for rinsing shampoo and soap off of baby. Great product. I highly recommend. 5So-soI thought I would really love this little boat for my son, and I thought he would love it, too, but when we put it in the bath it sinks easily, and after reading about mold issues we took it out of the bag of bath toys and put it into his toy box. Now it gets ignored completely. He's 15 months old and we've had it about 10 months. He likes to play with cars but does not seem interested in the boat.I like Green Toys but I think they should have made this a plain tug boat instead of making it a water scooper. I know it's a bath toy, but if it gets moldy that easily it's not really going to be worth the money. 3Great for my daughters needs of consuming soapy waterMy daughter used to struggle with the cup that i use for rinsing her hair off to get her bathwater drinking needs, BUT NOT ANYMOR. With this tugboat she can grasp her little hand on the handle and one hand underneath! She has only choked on the water once since buying this. Of course i don't condone drinking it, but when she gets her little heart set on something, and she gets that look in her eyes (similar to a crack head about to take a long needed hit) Daddy wouldnt dare stop her. Drink up the soapy goodness! 5I need toys that I can easily sanitize and cleanI buy from Green Toys because their toys are affordable, the plastic is very strong/durable, and they are safe plastic. As a foster parent (but likely for any parent), I need toys that I can easily sanitize and clean. I need toys that will last. The kids that come into my home get their own toys, but we also have "home toys" (ones that they can play with while they are in our home, but don't go with them when they leave). Green Toys products makes great home or personal kid toys because they stand up to lots of use over time, and are fun for kids in my age ranges (7 years and under).This tugboat is durable and great for bath and water table play. It can unsnap the few places it is held together so that it dries faster. I have not had any molding problems. Love it! 5Great toy, beware mold growing, here is how to open it! It's possible!This is a great toy and works well pouring water for hair washing. I wish it was harder to capsize. As everyone has noticed it's both prone to mold growing inside and near impossible to open. Tonight I finally cracked it after discovering mold in ours.The top deck is held on by three screws. Two are accessible through the front two windows with a #1 Phillips screwdriver that is at least 2.5" long. The third is under the back of the handle and requires drilling a hole to access. The plastic is soft enough that I was able to use a screwdriver with some pressure. I am posting photos in the review section shortly. For the two screws in the cabin there is only one exact path in, high and on the outside.Take care not to dislodge the two cabin screws as they are difficult to place back in their holes.I am glad to see that their Ferry comes apart with just four easy to pop tabs. 3Toddler FriendlyWe got this Tugboat because it makes a great fearless fun alternative to the dreaded hellish cup that is pulled from the kitchen cabinets. My child appreciates this more because she can actually play with this and make bathtime fun. It floats, sinks, pours water from a spout and it has a handle. What could a parent like me ask for? This was a perfect solution! Also the boat can be cleaned to prevent mildew, mold and soap scum from building up with a little know how, but be careful because the tabs may snap if you are not too careful! And it can be put back together!I highly recommend this for Bath Time for any child! 5Beautiful boat & lots of funThis boat is beautiful and VERY well-made. I couldn't wait to get it, open it up to show my baby,and watch her play with it during bath time ^_^ It may be a little early for her to thoroughly appreciate, but I certainly had fun playing with it :-P Lol. I know she will very soon as well! I LOVE that it is eco-friendly and made in the USA. I want to purchase more toys from this company because of the quality!! 5Another sturdy and fun toy from Green Toys!We've been a big fan of Green Toys since my oldest son received a fire truck from this brand on his first Christmas. The toys are extremely sturdy, environmentally friendly, bright, versatile and fun. This particular tugboat is played with in the house, bathtub, outdoor pool and beach. My boys love the fact that they can fill and pour water out of it. They have been quite rough on it and it has not broken or chipped. The plastic material also makes it easy to disinfect and clean when needed. It encourages them to use their imagination and can easily be played with other toys as well. The fact that it is so sturdy and doesn't contain small parts makes it excellent for young toddlers as well. My oldest son is almost 4 and still loves playing with this.Overall, I'm very pleased with this brand and this toy. I'd highly recommend both and do recommend them quite often to friends. 5Pool time and Bath time funThe kids (under 2) really like this tugboat - they take it in the pool and bathtub. Colors are bright, it floats well. You can scoop up a large amount of water and then pour it out of the front spout. Only downside is that (because it holds so much water), the kids cannot scoop up water themselves and pour it. It becomes too heavy. But when they get older and bigger they will be able to do this. 4It does nicely pour water over his headI got this for my little boy at Easter. I was impressed with its size I was expecting it to be a little smaller but it's not huge so it doesn't take up the entire bath tub. The video shows them mostly playing with it in a pool. However I did get it for the bath. It pours water out of the spout in the front. It does nicely pour water over his head. So I can use it to wet his hair so I can shampoo his hair. And fills up quite quickly which is nice when you have a squirmy toddler that you're trying to clean.He thoroughly enjoys playing with it in the tub as well as out of the tub and all over the house when he saw it Easter morning he was very excited and grabbed it and started pushing the boat over the carpet. He is 2 years old a kid that is a little younger would still appreciate it and my 6 year old plays with it as well so it is not only gear towards little kids that's for sure. 5
