    Excellent. No electronics! Back to board games!I was hesitant at first about this game. But after playing it now for three months with my son, and 11-year-old, we find it to be a great rainy day baseball experience. The scores are always very high, but the play is very balanced, and when the game is close emotions rise in anticipation of a hit.Note: we have computers at work, computers at home, tablet note pads, televisions, game controllers, and computers phones. I'm doing everything I can to avoid those at any cost. This was well worth the price. My son and I interact without all those electronics. 5Play Ball!Wonderful!My five year old son and I just played this for the first time and had a great time. He was really into it and it completely held his attention for all nine innings. The simple game is perfect for kids and the more advanced game is perfect for the adult that wants to live out that fantasy game in their head. The game was just completed was genuinely exciting and ended up 5-4. I heavily recommend this to any baseball loving family - It is also a great way for kids to easily learn the rules and grasp the main concepts of the game. 5Best Baseball Board Game Out ThereThis board game is really fun to play with another person and is really well made. The rules of the game are similar to a real baseball game with a few differences to compensate the odds of a dice roll. It comes with a lineup card which is great for keeping score and naming your lineup. The pieces are well made hard plastic that can take a beating by a small child if they ever got into it. The board is small enough to carry around and big enough to enjoy. Hopefully luck is on your side. You'll need it to win this game! 5I bought for my 7 year old great nephew's birthdayI bought for my 7 year old great nephew's birthday. He loves baseball and his party was baseball theme. The next morning he asked his grandparents and sister to play. The directions were easy and they loved it. After finishing the game they all sang "Take me out to the ballgame."Not sure there was a board game he has enjoyed as much as this one. 5Fun game and great teaching/coaching toolI bought this game as a teaching tool and it turned out to be perfect. I play it with my tball aged son, and not only is it a fun game to play, I am also able to teach him things as we play. For example, he rolls a single and there is a man on 1st, I can show him how the man on first has to run to second because his man has to run to first. Or when first base is open and there is a man on second, I will ask him, "where is the force play?", etc... I actually am planning to bring his whole team over for a game after practice to teach them some of these concepts. You can play it with as many people as you want. It is very simple to play the "basic" mode. There is also an "advanced" mode where you get into things like balks and fielder choice and caught stealing, etc... My son isn't ready for that stuff yet, but I guarantee that I will use this game when that time comes. It is definitely worth the money. 5What a great board gameWhat a great board game. It is not overly difficult to learn. It features a very nice baseball field game board. Of course there is the element of chance since dice rolls are involved. However, as manager of your team, there is some flexibility as you can determine how aggressively your baserunners become on the bases. Players have the opportunity to witness the porgression of ball and strike sequences. The game is nicely produced. I agree that it is a great way for people of all ages to bond with each other. It is a also manner in which someone who is unfamiliar with Baseball to learn the basic rules of the "American Pastime." You can always add additional rules of your own to increase complexity if you would like. Batter up! Play ball! 5Way more fun than anticipated!I gave this to my son for Xmas, and we just now opened it. I have to be honest, we've tried several non-big-name board games and they were all terrible, so I understood my son's reluctance. This is our new favorite game. It is as close to playing baseball as you can get with a board game, and I even let them stay up late because I wanted to finish the game. It's super simple to start playing (if you know the basic rules of baseball). Although it says you can team up with more than two players, it worked just fine with the three of us my kids played as a two person game and I did the score keeping and took over the black umpire die that said safe or out. 5Fast paced game! Easy to play for everyone!My 8 yr old son was reluctant to play this game, but when we did play, he wanted to play again and again, and the next day, etc. It was fast-paced, so neither player felt bored, and the instructions were easy to understand. 5 stars for the playfulness, well-written instructions and fast pace of the game, which can be completed in under an hour if everyone cooperates! 5Great game!What About Baseball is an amazingly well thought out boardgame! Because it is like a real baseball game, it can be played thousands of times with different plays and outcomes per inning leading to an ultimate winner. The customized dice are ingenious and the score sheets parallel score keeping in a real baseball game. The game allows for all of the nuances in a real game such as balls, strikes, foul balls, all kinds of hit possibilities including home runs, extra innings, wild pitches, double plays, attempts to steal, attempts to sacrifice, balks, reaching first base on error, etc! Very cool game for baseball fans, causal players, or kids learning the rules of baseball. 5Simply, Wow!The fact that this board game is so simple, yet so well thought out it's an absolute joy to play; particularly when it's adult versus young kid. My 8-year old son and I just finished our first game and I am still somewhat in awe how well the game flows, plus the ability to play with or without more advanced options really expands playability. And let's not forget the incredible quality of construction; even the box it comes in feels even sturdier than the board games I still have from the 1970s.Totally recommend this board game for newer and older baseball fans looking for a nice way to quietly pass the time on a rainy day.And kudos to the manufacturer who spent time not just on designing the game but ensuring the quality of construction is top notch, too. This board game is a total keeper. 5
