so it's kind of like a car with a dog covering over itMy son loves this thing! He drops it all the time, and so far it is still going strong. The bottom has wheels, so it's kind of like a car with a dog covering over it, which I wasn't expecting, but it is still a great product! 5Cute but doesn't respond as expectedThe puppy is very cute and it's great that a child can pretend they're walking a real puppy.As most so called interactive robotic toys this one too doesn't really respond to commands well. It doesn't come towards you when you clap your hands and we've never heard it respond to any speech in any of the expected ways. It does circle through its tricks on its own though.My daughter finds it cute but after the first few hours of excitement she seems to have forgotten about it.I thought she might enjoy walking it when we go to the mall but I'm not sure how that will work out because the dog rolls too slow. 3Terrible toy. My daughter loved it for about 2 ...Terrible toy. My daughter loved it for about 2 days and now doesn't play with it. All it does is move backwards and forwards and make an "arf arf" sound. For $100??? Holy crap they really took me to the cleaners. Curse you Hasbro. Curse you!!!! 4Cute toy!My 7 year old daughter picked this out and bought it with money she received for her birthday. She LOVES it! It wasn't difficult to understand how to operate. She was able to get it working on her own without instruction or assistance. It works great and responds to the 'clapping' command perfectly - which thrilled her! I'm happy that her money wasn't wasted on another 'junky' toy. (I did help her do research and read up on reviews!) When the dog is walking it doesn't have a super loud mechanical sound as many other automated pets do. The noises this dog makes are cute and not annoying in any way. She's only every used it indoors, and it works great on our floors which are linoleum and berber style carpet. It really is a cute toy. I'd recommend it for any kid who loves toy pets. 5Meet Penelope Fluffy FaceThis toy was a Christmas gift for my 5-year-old daughter. She really likes her and named her Penelope Fluffy Face. The batteries have really lasted well in this little toy, she gets played with routinely too! Having a smartphone with the Furreal app is really what makes this toy come alive. Independently, you can walk it and hear it make dog noises. My daughter likes to walk her up and down the driveway. With the app, you may feed it, bathe it, the actual toy responds to the app making playtime more interactive. You may also take photos in the app and decorate them (and they aren't stored/saved in the iphone camera roll). The toy came wrapped in a plastic bag from the manufacturer inside an amazon shipping box. There isn't any other manufacturer's packaging/instructions. This did not bother me and my daughter had no trouble figuring it out. To be safe, I downloaded the instructions off of the FurReal Friends website but haven't referred to them after initially reading them. The toy works absolutely fine. Overall, my daughter really likes this toy, it can be played with or without the smartphone technology however for the money, it is better with the app. I docked one star for that because those without that technology will not be able to really enjoy all the dog can do. 4FurReal Friends are amazing!! This little white dog with pink ribbon ...FurReal Friends are amazing!! This little white dog with pink ribbon and purple collar is so adorable! Doggy makes cute puppy sounds, wags tail, sits, head changes position when patted and other times as well. Goes for walks, and the little feet move as if they are walking (there are wheels that move the dog, but you cannot see them. ) Dog barks and makes little puppy noises. The kids are in love with this cute little dog! 5get rechargable batteries!! But cuteGot this for my son who loves animals and is dying for another dog. We aren't ready yet so we got him this toy. It's cute, he's gotten hours of play time with it, we brought it to a pediatric appointment where I sat in the waiting room with it and other waiting kids kept sneaking close to me to look at the toy, I had kids leaning over the row of seats chewing in my ear to look at it, some kids who played with it before their appointment played with it again for a bit after it. This toy created joy and chaos for boys and girls!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it goes through batteries FAST, we just bought rechargeable ones for it (though of all the batteries we've tried 7-eleven batters have lasted the longest, go figure- haven't even put in the rechargeable yet) and it doesn't seem to come to you when you clap so maybe ours is broken. I wish it wasn't white because it goes on the floor and kids are surely all going to want to walk it outside and ours got dirty fast. But it's still cute and a favorite toy so it's still something I'd recommend. 4Fun Walking DogPurchased for granddaughter and she loves it! Since the dog is on a leash and is "walked" it is more fun than those that simply walk by themselves. Also purchased another for her sister, since she liked it so much. 5Does not work as advertisedThe most exciting part about this toy is the fact that it is supposed to work with an app. That app hasn t been updated in four years. As is, the companion app does not work with the current iOS version. I ll be returning this toy ASAP. $90 is a bit much for a toy that doesn t actually work. 1Just like a real dog, do not swing around by leashIf you act like you are Indiana Jones and repeatedly swing this thing around like it is his bull whip, it's probably going to damage the remote.Otherwise, it works as advertised. I think my child was a little too old or a little too spoiled because this thing doesn't make a lot of appearances in the living room. 5
