    Allonsy!I was worried this guy wouldn't be able to take abuse. So far my twin toddlers have passed him around and respectfully played with him, and my eldest son, an ardent Brony specifically requesting more bro like ponies got him and loves him. He constantly worries about the locations of both of these toys. The painting could be better on both toys, and I know they're more geared for collecting and adult dorks but they are also supposed to be toys. Right now with the pony addiction in this house they were not going to stay up there. ALL my kids spotted the ponies on display as soon as they woke. Wish I could afford more stat!Allonsy! 5A very nice shelf figureThis is a very nice toy for you to put on your shelf for display purposes, and for the price the quality is acceptable. The main feature of Funko toys compared to Hasbro ones is that the figure's mane and tail are actually hard molded plastic, not brushable hair, so you get something that actually looks like the show character. Besides, being made of vinyl make them very durable, and removing dust seems like it won't be much of a chore down the line.That said, I didn't give it five stars for two reasons:a) The first is that while the face is very similar to the one in the show, it isn't identical. The overall shape of the face doesn't feel quite right although I wouldn't be able to pinpoint exactly what, perhaps the format of the muzzle or the mouth size, I can't be sure.b) The second is that the figure isn't a monobloc, being instead built from a few big glued parts whose joints are quite visible. Additionally, and at least in my case, the character's tie came with a minor defect that seems like the point where the part was "cut" from others in the assembly line. The gluing isn't perfect either, there being a few spots of transparent glue that clearly escaped from the joints during the assembly. Then again, as I mentioned this is a cheap toy so there isn't much to complain in those regards.Other than those there's a minor detail that some might dislike: the cutie mark is only on one side, so if you want it visible you must position the figure exactly like shown in the product photo. Now this is typical for My Little Pony toys in general, so I didn't take it into account when rating.Conclusion: If you're okay with the minor downsides and you plan to have it in a shelf so as to look it from a few feet of distance, then by all means buy it, it's worth the price! Now if you intend to have it in your desk I think you'll dislike noticing the minor defects all the time, so I wouldn't recommend it. In these cases purchasing something hand made would be a much better investment.PS.: Since I have other models from the same line my review for them will be similar to this one, as I'm taking the base text and adapting it to the specifics of each model. 4Get what you pay for...I got this because I thought it was cute and two of my fave things combined - My Little Pony and Doctor Who. I never take things like this out of the box to 'preserve' them. I was inspecting it through the packaging and notice a scrape of white missing off his collar. Almost like a tool hit the plastic while it was still wet. There is also a spot on his head that looks dirty and a spot on the mane where it doesn't look like the plastic is formed right. I'm not going to return it. I only spent about $12 on it so its not a big deal. But if you're ordering this just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. This is not a high quality collectible. Its a cheap piece of plastic that was made in China. 3ExcellentI received my Funko Dr. Whooves very quickly via mail. Unfortunately my local post office is a little jerky, and left the package on the porch where my dog gleefully tore it open. She obviously doesn't understand it was a collectible. The one that was still in it's pristine packaging, is exactly what I was hoping for. The one that Oreo got to however, was this awful urine yellow color, and had ugly hot pink glitter floating through it, and a gritty glitter covering the whole tail and mane. Not at all what I want to gift to my friends son for Christmas. Amazon was quick to take care of the problem, and send a replacement for the exchange. A super big thanks to Valerie with customer service. Your help made this a four star experience. 5For the pony and Who fan - genius!This simply could not be cooler. My five year old loves My Little Ponies AND Doctor Who - so this toy was made exactly for her! She uses it when playing with her other ponies, and she also uses it with her Doctor Who lego-like toys. She particularly likes knocking over the Tardis with it! Also fun is having the motorized dalek running around after it. Whoever thought up this toy is a genius - not only does my daughter love it, I love playing with it with her and the whole concept of it (clearly the creator's eye was on the parents - well done!) 5Four Years Later - Still StandingBeautiful, little solid-state pony crafted in the visage of David Tennant's 10th Doctor.Adorable.The only drawback is its static state (lack of articulation).A must have for Bronies and fans of Doctor Who.A gift/toy with enduring potential. This toy has been both displayed and played with by three children. And has stood up well now, four years later. 5Awesome quality, and a great gift idea for fans of Doctor Who and MLP!I'm not a Doctor Who watcher, but my roommate/best friend is a really huge fan. I also introduced her to MLP last year, and she's been hooked ever since, so there was no doubt in my mind that this would make a perfect gift for her, as her birthday was last month. I'm happy to say that she was very pleased with it! She gave me a big hug. I think this would be a great gift for any fan of Doctor Who and My Little Pony.Since it was a gift, I didn't want to take it out of the box, so I didn't get a closer look at it, but I did see in the reviews that some customers complained of bad quality or poor paint jobs. Just from what I could see through the box, the pony I received didn't have any apparent problems with it. The paint job looked great. It's a decent weight, as well; heavier than I expected. I'd recommend it to anyone. 5Nice to have on my desk with DerpyI'm not a serious collector, I just happen to like both Doctor Who and My Little Pony. The figurine itself isn't as bad as many reviews said, but he's not perfect either. He has four spots where something is wrong with the vinyl, like a small chunk is gouged out. There's a little splatter of blue paint behind his ear, and the vinyl is inconsistent in the tail. He's also got some kind of white residue down his tail, and you can clearly tell that the tail is two pieces glued together, as there's a noticeable gap with glue in it. There's a gap around the neck that makes it look like the head would move - it doesn't, and there's a small spot in the gap where it looks like someone slid an instrument in the gap and tried to pry his head off. Also his tie in the picture is green, but mine is red, although I like the red better. I noticed some reviews mentioned black marks all over him and smudged paint, but fortunately I didn't get either of those.However, to me, those are all small imperfections and I don't really mind, as I'm not a serious collector. I have a Derpy figurine on my desk at work, and figured I should get a Doctor Whooves to keep her company. 4very unhappyThis came the day after i ordered it which was nice, but the box it came in was open and bent! also, the tail was broken off and lying in the box. the paint is messy too. not happy. will be returning.update- i bought this again and returned my previous one. it came it a lot better condition but the neck is a little unattached but isn't like it's going to fall off. not super happy but im keeping it this time. 1Quality Control Lacking.I purchased this for my son's birthday, and it arrived flawed. One ear is damaged with a large, rough, flat circle replacing the tip, and the tail was also rough in spots. I've processed an exchange, and hope the replacement is in better condition. Also of note; cutie marks appear on both flanks in the show, but only on one on the figures. From what I've read, this is common, and not considered a flaw. 2
