Incredibly fragileThese dolls look exactly like the ones my daughters watch on TV---which isn't surprising, since the shows are marketing vehicles for the dolls. The girls were delighted to get these for Christmas but, alas, they're incredibly fragile. The joints at the arms and legs snap easily with very little torque. There are all manner of videos on YouTube for repairing these---it's not easy---which demonstrates how common the problem is. 1The Knight in a DressI told myself over and over again that I did not need more than one doll of Darling Charming, I'd wait until her Dragon Games Doll and get her wearing an outfit that truly looked like the character I read about. I can always see Darling wearing tights before a dress, she's a heroine by heart, not a fancy princess. She's wrestled pigs, she's climbed the tallest trees, she's just wicked. But she's my second favorite character, and having her basic doll just kept eating away at me. So I finally broke down and bought it. Her armor details are the strongest trait of this doll, but the pink details make her the perfect girly heroine that many young girls should be looking up to. You don't have to be damsels little girls, you can be your own hero while still wearing pink and that's what I feel Darling expresses.I feel like this outfit is her disguise for what her heart truly feels, and it is technically. No one would expect the girl with tall heels, a tiara, and a fitted skirt to be running around as the White Knight. In all, I'm happy with this purchase. I still prefer the old packaging, but the new packages do take up A LOT less room than the old ones, the only thing I really like so I can collect more. I liked having a big picture of their art on the side in case I lined them up.In all, I'm not disappointed at all in this doll, she is very beautiful and her armor details make me like this doll even in her girly dress. Darling is just the perfectly Rebellious doll for any young girl or collector. 5Beautiful, although costume gets in the way a bit.I bought this doll for my young daughter - she hasn't seen the EAH series, but I like getting her pretty dolls. We started with one of the simpler beach dolls, and that was a hit so I added to the collection. This one is so beautiful, and I love how much detail goes into all the EAH dolls. My only complaints are that I wish her eye makeup wasn't so heavy (but I'm old, haha) and that her pauldrons and pencil skirt get in the way of playing with the doll. My little girl gets frustrated trying to move her arms and legs sometimes. For a princess that aspires to heroics, I would have thought she'd have a slightly more practical costume. 4Charming girl of imperial blood!I liked a beautiful face of this doll long ago. But I didn't decide to purchase it. Gradually I got used to its job specification. I purchased it for a collection. And I am happy that made it. It has such beautiful make-up. It is similar to the snow queen. And its job specification in life is much more beautiful. Buy it, you won't regret! This is the true princess! It has silver shoes. Silver lower dress. The upper skirt transparent with gloss. Plastic wide belt. Superimposed plastic shoulders. A headdress having the Diadem appearance with a pink feather. On a hand the bracelet unites with a ring. Handbag silver. In a set a rack and a hairbrush. 5Beautiful doll. The hair on Ever After and Monster ...Beautiful doll. The hair on Ever After and Monster High dolls is so superior to Barbies. You can manage it and fix it after your child has played with it and messed it up. The biggest downside of these dolls is that their clothes are such a tight fit that you can't get them on or off without removing their hands. The hands actually come off for this purpose. You can see where this is a problem. I have a few dolls with no hands in my child's doll closet because they are so small that they get lost in wardrobe changes. I can't find a site to purchase replacement hands. It's disappointing is such adorable dolls. 4Adult Collector ReviewI know Mattel released some of their EAH dolls in new packaging instead of the more "personalized" boxes. The doll I received came in one of these new boxes with a reddish and violet color scheme. Darling is just as I expected, except she was missing the silver bracelet visible in the promo pic (which might be the fault of the newest releases). Other than that she's lovely; I especially like the silver armor. 4Darling Charming is STUNNING!I LOVE Darling Charming! She looks the same as portrayed in the pictures, except somehow more gorgeous. Darling didn't have terrible box hair, and the styling is quite cute. I love the silvery-blue highlights in her hair. I feared they would be too bright in person. Her dress is WOW. There is so much detail. I absolutely love the armor on her shoulders and waist. Her shoes are the perfect balance between armor and frills. Darling's dress is actually metallic silver. It looks amazing. She has the same articulation as the other Ever After High dolls. Darling comes with a key-brush, doll stand, bookmark, a crown, bracelet-ring combo, and a silver purse.The thing I love most about her, is her face sculpt. It is not pancake-y like the original EAH dolls. She has more defined cheekbones and chin. It looks very similar to the Rosabella Beauty doll's head sculpt, but her jawline is more defined and her lips are a different shape. I don't know if they will be doing this for all Ever After High dolls in the future, but I personally love this!! Her face is stunning!I would have liked a little more detail on her crown so that it looks more like the artwork. Her box was a little ripped and busted when I opened her from the mail packaging. 5Darling Charming: The Knight in Shining ArmorDarling Charming is the younger sister of Daring Charming and younger twin sister to Dexter Charming. Unlike her brothers who are royals that want to follow their destinies, Darling wishes to carve her own path as a Rebel. Not satisfied with her fate as the damsel-in-distress waiting to be rescued, Darling resolves to do the rescuing herself by becoming a knight in shining armor.Darling has curly, waist-length blond hair with sky-blue highlights. She wears a silver tiara adorned with a pink feather and a heart-shaped emblem that resembles the Ever After Rebel symbol. Her blue eyes are complemented by eyeshadow in cool tones of blue and purple. There is a beauty mark under her right eye, faint blush at her cheeks, and her lips are a shade of pink. Her face mold appears to be new and unlike any character released so far.Darling s heroic aspirations are heavily reflected in her knight-inspired ensemble. She is clad in detailed gray pauldrons that feature pink gems in the center, as well as a matching corset, both which give the appearance of a knight s armor. The main part of her high-collared dress is an almost metallic silver (it looks somewhat similar to aluminum foil), though she also has blue elbow-length sleeves with pink tulle at the ends. Her sheer overskirt is a glittery light blue with a delicate swirl pattern and more hints of pink. On her left hand, she is wearing a silver bracelet that is attached to a flower-shaped ring. And to finish it off, Darling s spelltacular studded footwear continues in the spirit of the knight motif, making it especially fitting for the fashion-forward hero-to-be.The doll is of the same height as most of the other dolls in the line (such as Apple and Raven). She comes in the new design of EAH boxes similar to the Duchess, Kitty, and Ginger dolls, and on the back is more information about the character. According to her bio, Darling s favorite subject is Hero Training since it gives her the chance to show off her skills. She also possesses the neat ability to slow down time with just a toss of her hair! Included inside the box is a bookmark that expands on her story, a silver doll stand, and a silver purse. The purse is interestingly armor-plated around the edges, though it does not open, so you will not be able to put anything inside. My small critique regarding her accessories is that I think that a sword and shield would have made a nice touch considering the character s ambitions, however, this does not greatly detract from the doll, and the purse works well enough as a prop. This doll is for ages 6 and up. Just like the other Ever After High dolls, Darling has removable hands and multiple points of articulation. The doll I received was made in China.Overall, I believe Darling is sure to please fans and is a wonderful new addition to the ever expanding cast of Ever After High. 5She's such a Darling Hero!Darling Charming may seem like the perfect princess everyone wants to be but there's more than meets the eye! She has a dainty outfit but some heroic details about her as well. All she wants is to be a Hero like her older brothers and Father!Darling Charming has a silver crown with a pink bow and feather to top it off. Her hair is a light blond with light blue on the side of her head and front. She has some charming curls in front of her face. Her makeup is a violet with blue eye shadow. One of the things I like most is armour-necklace with two light pink jewels. Her elegant sleeves with pink ruffles are very princess like. Her silver belt goes well with her necklace. Her dress is a shiny silver with very nice details, topped off with a nice blue and pink glittery fabric. She has silver ruffles with armour on her heels. She comes with a silver purse, diary, a lovely flower bracelet, and silver stand with brush.I added the pink earrings and paint to her crown and shoes I also did her hair. She is great for customizing too.Darling Charming is the perfect role model for anyone! 5Fun dollThis doll gets four stars from my 9-y-o because she was expecting her to look more like she does in the Ever After High series. However, she is "really pretty" and her accessories are a lot of fun to play with. 4
