Customer Reviews

Lots of space!I used this for an electrical engineering class, MicroProcessor Applications. This board has lots of space, I was able to make it all the way through the class without hardly removing anything I had previously built. This saved me quite a bit of time when I needed to use other parts later in the class.Would buy again. I only wish breadboards were cheaper, but getting a good one is worth it if you're an electrical engineer. You'll use it to prototype plenty once you get into the field (if you're designing consumer electronics, that is) 5and works great. The holes in the breadboard function more smoothly ...The first one I ordered was loose in the box and some parts fell out of the cracks in the packaging. I returned it. I purchased the same exact item from a local electronics store this week. All parts there, and works great. The holes in the breadboard function more smoothly than the clone BB that I bought elsewhere. This is one of the better ones. Not as good as 3M, but 1/3 the price. Solid value. 4Finally a decent breadboard....DEFINITELY WORTH THE PURCHASEI had been struggling with crappy breadboards (Warped, Plastic Flash over holes, Smeared numbers/lines) for a few years now... This one is actually a very good breadboard. It reminds me of the one I had when I was in Engineering School 20+ years ago.Would definitely buy again. 5This is not a toy!For starters, I'm not really sure why Amazon has classified this as a toy, this is a regular breadboard as any electrical engineer or student will be very familiar with.As far as the item itself, it seems well constructed, although you've got to attach the terminals and the rubber feet yourself, which is a bit fidgety but not a big deal. The base is made of thin aluminum, seems like the aircraft-type stuff. Although there is some flex if you put a good bit of force on the board, it is stiff enough that you'll never notice it while inserting wires and leads into the holes. A benefit of the aluminum base is that it makes the overall weight of the breadboard much lighter than similar units from other manufacturers that I own.I can also report success with the breadboard itself, having already constructed a few circuits on it. The tie points firmly grab wires and component leads and have offered no nasty surprises.Overall an excellent product. In fact, I've already ordered another one. 5The breadboard itself is nice. Good size and good quality parts. However...The metal plate it is on has very sharp edges all the way around on the bottom side. I cleaned it up with a file, but it shouldn't have come that way. Also, the "D" holes for the binding posts are the wrong size - the binding post won't fit. One of the binding posts fell apart. I don't use them so I don't really care, but if you do, you might consider another brand. I'm used to a little better quality from Elenco. 4poor packaging leads to parts lossSeems ok, but had parts missing. The yellow post hw was gone. The rest of the posts and nuts etc were rattling around in the box. The post fit is not very good, the guide ridge on the post meant to center the post in the metal pate is to shallow so the fit is poor. You could lift an inside flap and see daylight so poor packaging led to parts loss. I may be wrong but the whole thing looks old, like it has been stored for 20 years and refurbished or something. The actual cardboard and plastic it comes in is another clue, the plastic front piece is simply folded at the edges to secure it, not something we see today in packages requiring scissors, knife, table saw, and four men and a boy to open. I haven't had time to test it electrically yet 2Easy assembly, nicely sized, good base. The product arrived quickly with all parts in good shape. Assembly took a few minutes. The binding posts can have the wire through-hole position adjusted before tightening to allow all wires to have the same alignment as you plug in the rails to the board from the binding post. The protoboard quality seems very good, the board does not wobble, and the size is convenient, not too big, not too small.I like having multiple power supply values:for analog op-amp projects: +12, -12, +5 and ground;or +5, +3.3, +12 and ground for Arduino/Pi projects. The banana plug holes are easy to insert and remove. The images are front and back. 5The price is rightThe campus bookstore wanted an outrageous amount for something half this size. The breadboard is big and it works great. The pieces can be removed and they are interlocking, so you can create different configurations. It helps if you have some thick foam tape or something else to mount them on if you're going to remove them, though, since the interlocking tabs aren't really sufficient by themselves to hold them together. 59440 Breadboard-Prototype Design AidWhat can I say because there is nothing to say but it works very well for my projects and seems to be very well built. I think it will last a very long time. I love it! Up date: I have been working with this bread board and it works even better than I thought it would. I have built several projects with it and there is enough room to leave your favorite project in place while you build another one. I also purchased another one of these boards because I am using them for Christmas this year for a led display. I used a 555 timer IC and a 4017 IC to build a led light display over the fire place and everyone who sees it loves it and wants me to build them one LOL anyway you will love this Bread Board it is huge! 5Plenty of space on this breadboard!Recently got back into one of my long-lost hobbies... electronics. 'Had been using a much smaller breadboard for projects, but my latest one was going to require a larger board. Looking forward to finishing my latest circuit, before etching the final circuit board! 5
