    Sweet looking little doll perfect for a 1 yr oldI searched and searched for a sweet looking small sized baby doll for my daughters 1st birthday, along with a stroller she could use as she was beginning to just walk. (Used as a walker). This carolle doll is perfect, smells so good and is absolutely adorable to look at- such a sweet face and not creepy. It has beans in its bottom that gives it a nice weighted feel. She can sit on her own. The legs and arms are mostly plastic and it's torso is fabric. Her neck rotates. It's very easy for my 17 month old to carry around . She's had it for 5 months and she calls it baby. Hugs, kisses it, tries to give a bottle and rocks in a cradle. I would buy this again and again or even as a gift. It's definitely a nice quality doll. 5Great doll, except I was disappointed by the logo printed all over the cloth bodyI got this for my 18-month-old daughter and I have to say she really loves it. The doll is cute and has a really nice feel. The weight of the body is perfect and you really do want to hold and cuddle this doll. It is probably smaller than you're picturing, so know to expect that. My plans for the doll to wear our old newborn clothes and cloth diapers--forget it--she's way too small! That being said, the smaller size makes it easy for my toddler to carry around, and it's also more portable, which is helpful.My main complaint with this doll is that the cloth body is a white fabric printed with the Corolle name all over it. I found this really disappointing because the doll looks ugly with her clothes off, which means she isn't fun to dress and put diapers on (activities my daughter is really into, although she needs help getting the clothes/diapers back on). I also find the scent to be too strong, although it's not offensive, so I decided it's okay. 4This is not the same doll ! Updated versionThis is our 4th Corolle baby Marie!!my daughter absolutely loves her she received this bolll as a gift for her first Christmas she has not put her down since. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is that you can't machine wash it. So we had to replace it 3times !!!! It get dirty she bring it everywhere. It is by far her favorite doll we have American girl dolls ana and elsa you name it they don't compare as far as my daughter is concerned. However upon receiving this doll our 4th! I noticed the hands were different as well as the color it's much lighter. I may not have noticed if not for the fact that this was my third time buying this doll unfortunately I had to return it !! Unfortunately I could not find the doll with closed hands I gave my daughter the new doll and she asked about her hands I told her I opened them lol. She still loves her it's her baby just with open hands 5Perfect size for a toddler or preschoolerWhat a sweet little doll! We have the Melissa and Doug 12" doll for our older daughter and wanted something similar but different enough that they could tell which doll belonged to which girl. This fit the bill perfectly. We love them both. For anyone sitting on the fence trying to decide between the two, I'd say buy whichever happens to be at a better price. They both fit the Corolle clothes sold here on Amazon. They both have fluff filled bodies with bean bag rear ends. The M&D doll has a more firmly packed fluff body and so it's a bit firmer. The Corelle doll is a little floppier/squishy. Again both are great dolls! (M&D doll is wearing a gold Corolle dress in attached pictures and the Corolle doll is in pink.) 5This Doll Is MagicMy daughter LOVES this doll. I bought it on a whim in the hopes it would replace a ratty doll from my childhood that my two-year-old carried everywhere. I had given her the Melissa and Doug doll (Jenna) for Christmas (along with all the accessories) but she never seemed to care about it. I had debated between this doll and the M&D doll but ultimately decided on the other doll because of the pacifier/thumb sucking. She never cared about either of these things, so the horrible/old doll from years ago remained.A couple of weeks ago I was fed up with the ratty baby and took to the internet to find a replacement. The doll she carted around everywhere was essentially a rice filled doll with plastic head, arms, and feet. I think she liked how soft it was. It could sit (err, slouch) fit nicely into her arms, and wasn't stiff. The M&D doll, though cute in its own right, is not super soft and squishy. After reading Corolle reviews, I decided to take a chance on this doll. My daughter never leaves the clothes on her dolls, so I ordered this doll with the fluffy skirt hoping it would inspire my kid to keep the clothes on. As you can see, I was clearly putting a lot of hope into this little doll.Well, this doll exceeded my expectations. When the doll arrived, my daughter was immediately captivated ("Oh, cute!"). I couldn't get it out of the package fast enough, and she attached herself to it immediately. It has not left her side since. If she falls asleep with it and it isn't immidiately available when she wakes up, she will have a meltdown (when moving her from the car to her bed, the doll got left behind). If she is eating or playing or watching a movie, the doll is situated next to her. It has become her best friend.I know Corolle dolls have good reviews, but I assumed it was because they are adorable and they smell good. I had no idea that these dolls were also magic. Seriously. The M&D Jenna doll clothes also fit this doll. My daughter refuses to keep the sleeper/hat on that doll. Tonight she wanted the sleeper and hat on this Corolle baby (baby needed pjs for bed too) and got really upset when I accidentally took the hat off the baby.I love this doll and I recommend it to anyone and everyone with a little girl. I am considering buying it for my neices so my sister can experience the magic that is Corolle dolls. I am so happy my daughter finally loves a baby doll, and such an adorable one at that! :) 5Use a travel pillow as a "Boppy" for the dollWe got this for my 14 month old as a Christmas present. It's her first baby doll. She immediately loved it and "bay-BEE!!!" After ripping the paper off of the box.I LOVE the way it smells. I catch myself sniffing it whenever playing with it.Pro-tip: a travel pillow makes the perfect size "Boppy" to this doll (and a nice way to sit her up).Great doll, beautiful face, arrived quickly --- overall VERY good purchase 5Corolle is Excellent!So, back in July, we gave this little baby doll to our granddaughter for her 1st birthday. She hugged it immediately and has been in love with it since. The doll has been roughed up a bit; a one year old isn't always gentle! But she is loved just the same! Her mom can't wash it because our granddaughter won't part with it long enough! Corolle has long been a favorite brand of mine. I used to work in local, high end toy store. We sold Corolle dolls and their outfits and accessories. This is the first one I've purchased for a small child. She absolutely adores this little doll. The size is so perfect for her little hands to carry everywhere. If you are looking for a first baby doll for a child, I highly recommend this one, or any other Calin. You definitely get what you pay for. I'm trying to insert a photo, but my wireless isn't working as well as I need it to. If I get it going later, I'll add the photo as a revision. 5Perfect gift for my 1 year oldThis is the perfect doll, especially for a younger child. Got it for my daughters first birthday and she loves it. It s the perfect size she has no problem caring it around and the bean bag body is ideal. Was considering a bitty baby and so happy I decided on this instead. The vanilla scent is really nice as well. 5All-time Favorite DollMy 3 year-old loves this baby doll. We purchased it to replace a Corolle baby she received when she was 19 months old. Her original doll was loved "to death" (ripped limbs, wonky eyes, etc.). She also owns an AG bitty baby doll but this one is her all-time favorite!From my perspective I think she prefers this doll because 1) the size - its smaller that the AG bitty babies and seems to much easier for her to hold and cradle, 2) the cuteness - the face on this doll is one of the cutest I've seen, 3) the bean bag body - its not stuffed like the AG dolls - much easier for her to put over her shoulder or to position sitting. 5A unpleasent, nasty looking and feeling dollVERY DISAPPOINTED. This IS NOT the sweet faced Corolle Mon Premier Bebe Calin baby doll dressed in a ballet costume that I expected I was buying. This doll looks like a boy. And NOT the sweet boy face of the blue dressed Corolle Les Classiques Classic 14" Baby Doll. I am referring to this doll as it because it does not like a girl and I can t call it a boy since it is dressed in a tutu. This doll has orange skin. It has an orange skin tone. The face is not sweet. Not sweet at all. I have gifted many dolls by Corolle (boy and girl s dolls). I know what to expect. I DID NOT EXPECT THIS. I did not fully examine the dolls in the box since they were Christmas gifts and I expected a Calin doll in a tutu. I wrapped them and put them under the tree. What a shock I had on Christmas morning. Corolle dolls receive a lot of LOVE when first opened. These two dolls were ignored asap. They do not warrant the love a Calin receives. They are rather spooky, somehow. Sadly, I purchased two identical dolls for my two 3-year old granddaughters. This doll doesn t even FEEL like Corolle Mon Premier Bebe Calin. And it certainly does NOT look like a Calin doll. I wonder if my two dolls are counterfeit Corolle dolls. NOTHING is pleasing about this doll. NOTHING. It looks and feels weird. The face is not pleasing. The eyes are strange and unnerving, somehow. The mouth is weird. The shape of the head and the feel of the body and the weight are not pleasing like a true Calin. This doll is as UNPLEASING as a true Calin dolly is pleasing to see, to touch, and hold. This doll is the anti-Calin. Children do not put Corolle dolls down. They carry them and love them. A gift of a true Corolle doll means a guaranteed home run . This doll is a complete strike out. These dolls have not been touched since Christmas morning. An unheard of thing. Their TRUE Calin s are being carried and loved as are their Les Classiques. THIS DOLL IS VERY UNPLEASING. DO NOT BUY IT. Again, Maybe I received two fake ones.
