    Perfect replacement for older porch swingThe original chains on our old porch swing were rusted and the bushings had deteriorated so that they made so much noise it was not used. These replacement chains made our sturdy, still in great shape, much loved swing like new again. Now our swing is back in service. 5Works OK but not for 10' ceilingsThe chains do the job OK. However, although they claim to work for 10' cielings I didn't find that to be true. After installing the chains and hanging my porch swing it was way too high for anyone who didn't play center in the NBA. I had to go to Home Depot and buy two feed of chain to get the swing to an acceptable level. 3Problem with stablityI replaced the existing rusted out chains with the Cooper Campbell assembly. I'm a novice at this but after putting this together I found the swing to be completely unstable. It actually flipped over on one attempt to sit on the swing. I can't say that this is strictly the chains but the old rusted chains worked fine but were simply not very good looking. 1YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!This porch swing chain set was exactly what I needed for my porch swing. It is rated for 500 lbs which should be plenty for most and comes with the lag bolts to mount it to the rafter overhead. These chains are 7 ft long when spread out and when used with these heavy duty springs Backyard Recess - 2 Heavy Duty 8.5" Barrel Shaped Hammock Chair Springs for Porch Swings and Hanging Chairs they work perfect for ceilings up to 10 ft depending on where the chains mount to your swing. I highly recommend getting the springs also to make the swing more comfortable and not so rigid. I saw Lowes had a similar chain set for a porch swing but it was $5 more than what I paid for on here and they weren't in stock anyhow. 5Good product. Extra hooks neededVery good product. Only issue was no hooks to attach the chains to the swing. Only hooks to attach the swing to the porch roof support 4A product that met all my needs and came exactly as advertised.Superior quality. Was a very happy customer when I didn't have to,do a single thing except hang it on the frame and hang the swing. Quality control is pretty simple stuff, especially when what is required for packaging is counting to two.... 3Sturdy and safe hanging hardware for our real porch swingI have had my swing for many years- hanging using plastic coated wire. It was fine but the plastic aged and cracked and began to slip so the swing was mostly used for package deliveries. With the new chain and springs it has a new life. I wish I d done this years ago. One caution though. This is the hanging hardware only. I made several trips to the hardware store to get what I needed to connect it to the swing. 4Five Starsworked great should have gotten darker but didnt 5Sturdy and easy to installFits perfect.
