    Not too small not too big.Perfect signs for my little ones. This game will keep them busy for hours LOL. 5Chip Holder Allows For Chips To Slip Out...Great for Fine Motor though...Our son was first introduced to connect 4 while working with his most recent speech therapist, who was a gentle, lovely, patient person that we're definitely going to miss seeing every week, and I'm probably going to think of her every single time I look at this thing. I bought this to continue working on turn taking with our son, which was an area she was targeting as well, and to progress some of his fine motor targets (I purchased this knowing the chips would be smaller then the traditional connect 4). At this time, developmentally, he couldn't possibly care less about the actual game component of it, so when we play with it at this time we're just taking turns putting in the chips.So, the chips are roughly half an inch in diameter. So they're small...and he blew me away that he had no problem putting them in first time out. So I was thinking...well, maybe we aren't going to need this for anything fine motor after all. Until we got to the part where I loaded them up in the chip holders/dispensers. Getting them out of there is definitely a fine motor challenge for him, to the point where he was actually shaking his head no at me every time I asked him to try and pull one out.While we're on the topic of the chip holder, I'd like to direct your attention to the picture I took of it. My one and only criticism of this product is that there isn't anything to make sure the chips don't slip out of it. I think this product would be improved greatly if it had a sliding cover for that end of it. Because structurally, storing this product upside down would put more stress that could lead to breakage along the top portion of the game, and that's the only way to decrease the risk of chips falling out. Keeping it in the box takes up more space, and they can still slide out as it slips around the box. And let's assume you're purchasing this for travel, you probably don't want to take the box because it more then doubles how much space this will take up in your luggage, etc. So that's just something to be aware of. Otherwise, as other reviewers have noted, this is definitely much smaller then the regular game, which I love, totally love because that's exactly what I needed it to be, and all of the components work at this time. 4This game is a classic and so much funThis game is a classic and so much fun. My husband and I are teaching our 5 year old all the tricks to playing, and we have fun battling each other in the process. I haven t had any real issues with this travel size, and I prefer it over the larger game. It s easier to store and I like the option of being able to travel with it, if needed. One con, the chips do tend to get stuck in the board after the game is over, and we need to give them a push to come out, but it s not a big deal to us. 5Not an easy travel game....We took this on an airplane and my youngest immediately dropped pieces. It was a headache trying to crawl under the seats to get. The girls played about 3 rounds of it, then put it away. On our return flight, brought it back out and some of the pieces were already off and would not stay on (the caps on the side to hold the chips in their little compartment). My girls enjoy playing the regular sized version of this game but did not enjoy the travel size. Too small so easily dropped, discarded, and difficult to quietly empty the board to start the next round- 5 and 9 years old. 2Grab and go readyTook this on a few vacations and we love it. Easy to play in a car, plane, beach, etc 5It is a MUST for family travel!It s perfect for travel! I ve had no problems with the token storage mentioned by another reviewer, nor any other issues. I carry mine in a ziplock bag with a few other travel size entertainment items, because stuff happens when you travel. No need to risk unnecessary loss. Just FYI, we also carry travel tile Scrabble that comes in its own zipper folio case...I HIGHLY recommend this game for its SILENT appeal to all ages and the fact it doesn t require batteries! 5Great in theory.My son loves connect 4, so I bought this for an upcoming plane trip. Size is great, ideas behind the design are great, but it doesn't work great. The clips that hold the pegs in the side towers are too tight, nearly impossible to get the tokens out. The slider on the bottom doesn't release the tokens all the way, they get stuck and need to be manually pushed out, and on some columns, the tokens get stuck when you drop them in and need to manually push them to the right spot. I'll still bring it on the trip, but will probably throw it away after, it's not worth keeping as an in house game. 2get a full size gameWow, if they would stay together it would really be awesome! Bought like 5 of these for my therapists to work with our kiddos and every single one of them either doesn't stand up, is missing pieces, or the bottom randomly falls off. Thought this would be easier to travel with than a full size game, but no, it just causes frustration. 1Perfect travel game!My son loves playing connect 4, so this was the perfect travel toy for us to play on the plane. I took it out of the box and put it into a ziplock bag. A ziplock bag is a must, because the little discs fall out of the holder when tossed into a carry on bag. It worked perfectly and we played this game numerous times. The little slide of the bottom releases the discs. Sometimes the discs would get backed up and not fall out of the rows. If this happens, you just wiggle it a bit or pull it down and they will fall down. Highly recommend for anyone who loves to travel and loves connect 4. 4I like the idea of this travel size gameI like the idea of this travel size game, but it is lacking in the areas that would make it great. The two bottom trays are difficult to snap in place. The two columns don't easily release the yellow and red checkers. And the release piece on the bottom of the blue catcher doesn't easily drop the checkers down. I had to remove the red and yellow checkers from the top of the game ( the same area that we slid them down). If this game was cleaned up a bit and made less difficult to use, I would have gave it 5 stars! 1
