    Super CuteThe vibrancy of the teal color is simply beautiful. All seven of the dice came whole and intact. The paint lining the numbers was visible, though was not completely within the lines in a consistent fashion. The dice are light, so if you prefer having weight to your roll, this is not be the set for you. Though, the product is still of admirable quality and worth the purchase considering the price. If you are an avid dice collector, I recommend making the investment. 4as they have a better process due to not wanting you being able to ...I wanted to switch to translucent dice because I noticed that my old dice were weighted due to imperfections in the manufacturing process. It used to be that the way to get around that was to go to translucent dice, as they have a better process due to not wanting you being able to see any imperfections.Unfortunately, that's no longer the case, and I can see several air bubbles within the dice. All in all, still better than my opaque dice. 4Nicely presented, but could be manufactured betterI bought three sets of these. If you look, all of them have little bubbles in them, so they're just not manufactured very carefully.I thought maybe it was something that was unavoidable, but when I looked at a translucent d6 from a board game, it was perfectly made; no bubbles at all. The bubbles are tiny, and they don't make a huge difference in how they roll, but sometimes I feel like my monsters are just a bit too lucky when going against my party's characters. 3Smaller d4 and other sizing issuesColor and clarity are great, however, there are 2 big issues with the set I got.1. The d4 here is very clearly different than other Chessex d4s (see picture for reference.) It's slightly smaller and it has more rounded peaks. This makes it slightly more difficult to throw. Not sure why there would be a difference when it comes from the same company.2. The d10 and d% are also differently-sized. This probably won't affect your gameplay but they tend to be rolled together, so I definitely noticed when the d% felt smaller in my hand than the d10. It's funny because I also compared this to other Chessex sets I owned and those had consistent d10 and d% sizing. 3Cool beans!.....I mean cool dice!They look really good, easy to read and no obvious major imperfections. I like them!Edit to add: if you got one like I did with a large sticker that doesn't peel off cleanly. Remove the dice from the container and douse it with some Zippo or Ronsonol lighter fluid and the glue and pieces of partially removed sticker paper will rub off easily. It may take a couple douses but it will work. (Charcoal lighter fluid may or may not work, I never tried it as the ingredients may be quite a bit different.) 5My favorite set of Chessex diceThis is a standard Chessex dice set. Seemingly manufactured to normal specifications, they don't feel cheap and roll well. I really enjoy the transparency and color of these dice, they're perfect for playing incorporeal creatures. But my favorite part about these dice over my other ones is the texture, they are a bit soft and fuzzy feeling on the outside despite being hard, they feel like a nice frosted glass. New people are always asking to feel my dice, and they are quite visually striking on the table 4Good diceI'm starting to play D&D (as the DM), and these are my first dice. They're pretty basic, and I'm sure they're not the best dice available, but for $6 they're perfect. They catch the light and "glow" in a way (look at the customer images to see it).I ordered the teal color, and they look more greenish than in the picture. The picture looks to me like a sort of ice blue color, but they really just look teal-colored. This color looks quite nice too, but it's just not exactly what's shown. 5Exactly as advertised.As usual, excellent quality dice set from Chessex. Most of my dice are some variation of black or a very dark color, so I wanted a lighter, brighter set. Unfortunately the very light and transparent blue with the white numbering makes immediate number recognition a bit harder than a higher contrast combination. That, however, is not the fault of Chessex, the dice come exactly as they appear in the photos. So you know what you're getting when you purchase. 4Chessex uassually does good...I'm actually a little disappointed in my purchase. I have bought several dice set from Chessex and they all came out really well. I was buying this set for a friend for D&D and 3 out of 7 had several imperfections from inconsistent paint, to the d20 be filled with air bubbles and smudging on the d100 and d20. The d4, d6, d8 and d10 have sufficiently sharp corners, the dice feel well made. The color is a beautiful blue with a nice white number to contrast the clear background. 3The simple beauty of translucencyI've been a collector of dice for many years, and only recently noticed I hadn't a single set of translucent dice in my collection. Or was time to remedy that. They have a simple elegance to them, and are very easy to read. 5
