    Awesome idea!! Really hard to get the buckles undoneOur 3 year old daughter loves to clip and unclip things. When we found this we thought we had hit the jackpot.The toy itself is high quality, nothing wrong there.The downside is that the buckles are too hard for kids to unclip. It requires a high level fine motor skills and muscle...which isn t great for a 3 year old. So she can clip them, but then needs an adult to unclip them every time.Our 5 year old also struggled a little bit with the uncliping.Really cool idea, just doesn t seem to work great for younger kids. 2A hit for my 2 year oldI purchased this for my daughter for her 2nd birthday. She has been interested in buckling thing herself lately, so I thought she would be interested in this toy. Sure enough, she absolutely loves it - it has been keeping her occupied in the car. (She hates being in the car, so we had been dealing with screaming fits every time we had to go somewhere; she has actually happily ridden in the car several times because she enjoys buckling this so much.) My 5 year old even likes this toy (although I don't think she's as enthralled with the buckles - she just likes it because it's super soft and cute). 5Into buckles??? This is a must have!My daughter is 20m became obsessed with buckles around 18m. At first I felt like the buckles around the bottom half of the stomach were a little short and kinda hard to buckle, after 2 days she's mastered it and even puts the correct colors together. All the buckles are perfect length for this stuffed animal. I actually like the fact that some are harder to put together, makes it a little challenging... If your babe is anything like mine, they'll be up for the challenge! She hasn't quite figured out how to unbuckle them, just yet...Not to mention, Blizzard is super soft too! My daughter is also stuffed animals, so when she's not trying to figure him out she's hugging, kissing, and snuggling with this lil fella. 5Great learning toyMy toddler has been trying to learn how to buckle by herself, so I bought her this to have fun practicing on. I love that there are different types of buckles, not just the standard ones. My one complaint is that the buckles are sewed pretty tightly across the penguin, so it's hard for her to grab them and push them together. She needs a little more slack to be successful. Buckles on high chairs, or swings have become a favorite activity! The little problem we had with "Blizzard" is that a buckle would sometimes pinch her little finger, when snapping together. After the first incident of finger pinching, our toddler kept her distance from the toy. I am sure the tantalizing buckles will lure her once again. 4Great idea!!I ordered this toy for my 19 month old daughter after I noticed that she was very interested in buckles. It is a little pricey, but for me it was worth it because it is safer and more convenient for her to play with this than it is for her to play with the buckles in her booster seat, swing, car seat, etc.She really loves it so far. She can put some of the buckles together but still needs help unbuckling them. But it keeps her interest for awhile and I'm glad she hasn't mastered it yet, or it might not hold her attention for so long. I have been giving her the doll in the car to keep her occupied and I've noticed that the buckles keep her so busy that she doesn't take her shoes and socks off while I'm driving!The only problem I had is that after we had the toy for only a few days, one of the buckles came unattached from the strap. I contacted the company (even though I ordered the toy on amazon) and they responded very quickly, sending me a paid address label so I could return the broken doll and they sent me a new one to replace it. So I was very pleased with their customer service. I hope that was just a fluke and that we don't have a similar problem with the replacement doll, as it could present a choking hazard if the plastic buckle comes unattached easily.Otherwise, it's a great idea and a really cute doll! 4Great toy but stitches come looseMy daughter absolutely loves this toy but the problem is she has only had it for one month & the stitching has come loose & she had already lost one buckle & is about to loose another one ... it s a shame because it s her favorite toy 2Better than a stuffed animal! Amazing serviceMy daughters first borrowed the whale buckle toy from their cousin.... and then I discovered I could get them a penguin buckle to for their birthday! I intended to get this so my 2yo didnt take off her shoes and socks in the car and they ended up passing back and forth so the 4 yo would unbuckle or try to for her sister and then pass it back..... fast forward a week later... They now hide the penguin in their bed from the other... soo after a few fights and tons of use the stitching came free on the orange buckle... The toy still being so new I contacted the company and in under a week the penguin returned! Unfortunately, they both want one now. The 4yo loves to tell me where the penguin lives and what are her favorite colors and count the numbers and perfectly snap the buckles, hide her favorite toys in the zipper back pocket.... Mean while the 2yo is fully entertained until I get to a red light then I hear please no buckle mommy and I hand it back for her to re buckle the toy. This is excellent for busy work, soo soft to sleep with and to my surprise great to grow with as the kids learn numbers, colors, zippers, and what a penguin should wear in the cold... Love the toy, highly recommend! Excellent service recovery! Edited****? We have had 2 of these and both are holding up well! The seller offered me a discount to purchase a 2nd toy! Both kids are soo happy and excellent experience. Definitely buying thses as gifts!! 5Choking HazardWe purchased this when my son was 6 months old since he was fascinated by any and all buckles. He couldn't manipulate them but he loved to turn them over in his hands and examine them, especially when they are unhooked.We always left the back unzipped because he liked to look that over too and put his pacifier inside the pocket. When it was zipped closed he was more aware of and fascinated by the zipper piece and would try to chew on it, so we just left it open all the time. I viewed the zipper as a choking hazard and as a result, we have never let him play with the penguin without someone watching him. I'm glad that's been our rule because I recently picked it up and zipped it shut (he's now 1 year old) and the zipper came right off at the bottom. I don't mind not having the zipper piece on there, in fact I would have preferred that from the beginning, but I'm so glad it happened in my hands and not his own! We would have seen it happen with our "supervision only" rule, but it is still so unsettling.With that aside, we all absolutely love this little penguin who we call Mr. Waddles. He is primarily a car ride companion for our boy now and he always has a big smile for Mr. Waddles. He still can't manipulate the buckles but this is a toy he'll enjoy learning to do that with as he grows. I don't know that I'm keen on the price we paid for this plush BUT the fact that he will enjoy it for a long time does make up for the price a LITTLE bit.I'd love to give this 5 stars but it just doesn't need to have a zipper at all. Too risky for little ones. 3Amazing toy!!My son absolutely LOVES this and he doesnt get attached to many toys.It was sent well packaged.The buckles are sewn well into the sides and line up perfectly.They have different buckle types on them which keeps my son entertained. They are bright colored and are easy enough to actually buckle for a young toddler.There is a zipper in the back for baby to keep little things in and some cute images embroidered on the back. Under the buckles in the front are hidden different colored numbers. Perfect for us as we are working on number recognition.I am very pleasantly pleased with how well made 'Blizzard' is and will buy a back up in case it gets lost or ruined due to excessive play.Thank You! 5
