Great truckMy 2 and 3 year old got these trucks forChristmas! They are so much fun! This brand of trucks are made to be played with! They are built with a strong plastic that hold up well. We have some other construction trucks from this brand and they are also holding up well. This truck is a bigger truck witch makes it fun to use your imagination with and towing other trucks! I love this brand and plan to buy more trucks! 5Another broken BruderWe are new to Bruder trucks. I've been pretty die-hard about getting my three boys wooden and steel vehicles up until now, and they've held up great, but you just can't get the realistic detail in wooden toys, and steel toys are somewhat limited. So after reading many reviews (and since my one son wanted a garbage truck), we bought two trucks for the boys for Christmas. The garbage truck was broken about two hours after they started playing with it, so I thought it had to be defective...the boys weren't being destructive, and it had great reviews (and the other truck, a crane has held up great). So I sent it back and let him pick a replacement. He picked this tow truck. Like most of the Bruder trucks I've seen, it has amazing detail, but literally 15 minutes after taking it out of the box, the back wheel was completely broken and just flops on the axle. Again, the boys weren't being rough or destructive. They were playing with it. I tried to see if I could just get a replacement wheel for it rather than send it back so my son didn't have to be without a truck...again, but Bruder unhelpfully offered me the front wheel, which won't work, as the back one is a dual wheel. So I'm sending it back...again. Thankfully, Amazon replaces bad products, even if the company doesn't (which is why I continue to shop on Amazon). My son is in love with this truck, so I guess I'll get him a replacement and see what happens, but we won't be buying any more. If it had happened once, especially with all the good ratings, I would just assume we got a dud. But when a different truck breaks 15 minutes out of the box, it's starting to look like a trend. I mean, I really don't think two in a row can be defective, right? I don't think it's unreasonable to hope that a $50 truck would last a little longer than it did. Really disappointed mama here. 1Great buyWe choose this to be a kid-friendly toy and were impressed. It is rugged, with more details and operating features then we thought. And it's a "Plug and Play" toy that our son was able to begin playing with, with minimal assembly, and no tools required. Our son really enjoys the Tow Truck, and we expect to purchase more of these toys. It would be nice if the manufacturer included a few play figures with the toy. 5highly recommend for your truck loving little (or big) one!My son was makeshifting a tow truck so we knew we clearly wanted to get him one for his 2nd birthday. We read the reviews and went with this one and boy are we happy. The truck is amazingly durable and very "real" life like. There are so many little things that move and of course, it tows! It entertains my little guy for such long durations and he plays with it every day. We have since bought other trucks with this brand because they are great. I had been looking for one for so long but couldn t decide on one. This one... omg. Perfect. There are so many options to load up the vehicle, all different ways!! He about died with excitement when he realized you could hook up and tow the bruder conveyor belt to the Jeep!!You be making a mistake by not going with this tow truck. And if you re not in the market for a tow truck and you have a son, you should be and it should be this one. GO!! NOW!! ADD THIS TO YOUR CART!! 5Can you make your son happier than thatCan you make your son happier than that? I doubt it. Great quality, details are perfect. However the doors don't open, and chains are gard to put in cars to tow, so if your son has to tow lots of cars you have to be part of it!I am planning to buy the cement mixer from this brand! 5Found where the hooks go!Bruder makes a very nice truck in many ways, but cuts corners in others. Pros are rubber wheels, great detail, and movable parts. Cons are that some parts seem flimsy and some features that should be there (like cab door opening) are not. Overall i like it and my son loves it so it is a win.I felt that the instructions were lacking so I happened to figure out a few cool features that were not included in the instructions or photos. First the two hooks (part 42631 accessories) that are not labeled in the instructions actually can attach on the ends of the chain. Also, the whole jeep lift assembly can store and click into the flatbed of the tow truck. There are two clips at near the cab that accept the big brace bar. Why wasn't this included in the instructions???? I have attached some photos to show 5Good qualityThis is expensive, but is large, heavy, has a lot of moving parts, and the realistic, high quality details make it a whole different type of truck. It wouldn't be great for driving down the front stairs (the fate of other trucks), but it is good for more careful play. I got it for my three year old last year, and it's still going strong. The Jeep that comes with it has good moving parts, too (hood opens, steering wheel turns wheels). The Jeep's hubcaps come off and are scattered around our house, and are semi-painful to step on, but they do snap back on pretty easily. All of our trucks won't be this kind, but for something that kids can manipulate, it's a good choice. 5Disappointing qualitySomeone gave my son a bruder excavator and I was very impressed with the quality. After looking at all the different options we bought this tow truck for Christmas. A couple days before Christmas as we were wrapping gifts I noticed some of the plastic was already broken on this toy. It was a small plastic piece holding the hook part together. I ended up super gluing it because it was just a couple days before Christmas and this was one of the big gifts. This toy is just not the same quality as the excavator we got. It feels cheap. The doors do not open, either. My son loves it but I don't think it will stand the test of time. Would not buy this again and honestly I'm not sure if I will buy Bruder again. We'll stick with playmobil. Those toys are worth the high price. This is absolutely not worth the price. 3this had to many plastic pieces that broke off too easy.
