    Perfect for me!Most detailed childs toy I've seen in a while. I would not recommend it for small children (younger than 4) due to small parts. I would however recommend this for collectors and anyone who is like me, a big kid at heart. This bulldozer makes a great candidate for an rc swap. 5This is a great feature because if they were not built like that ...We bought this for our son for Christmas. I waited until now to review it so I could see how it holds up outside. As with all Bruder trucks I have purchased so far it is amazingly realistic. I have never seen a toy with as much detail as these bruder toys. This is basically what the description states. It is durable plastic. Parts that get used a lot (doors) will pop off, but then can be re attached with ease. This is a great feature because if they were not built like that they would be BROKEN off. The blade acts very realistic and makes a smooth path in the dirt 5Mighty little 'dozerThe Bruder CAT 'dozer has proven to be useful on the job. It features a blade up front the can be raised when driving over rough terrain and it also pivots from left to right so you direct your load as needed. There is also a "ripper" in the back, although this usually stays in the most up-right position as we don't have much of a use for it. A great value compared to the other Bruder construction vehicles and the quality and functionality doesn't disappoint. We use this toy strictly indoors on a road made of foam board. As other reviewers have mentioned, the tracks can get clogged with small debris, like the rocks pictured. It does best on rougher surfaces, most likely rugs or carpeting for any potential buyers that want to know. Rubber inserts are included for the tracks for "traction" on slick surfaces. I have not tried to use these. My son is 3 years old and loves all the Bruder toys we've accumulated, although he only plays with them under my supervision. If you have younger children, as I do, these are not "playroom" toys. They have small parts and should be handled with care, however they are not cheaply made. If you like spending time with you kids and showing them how to both enjoy and learn from using the fine toys Bruder makes, these are for you. See pics for the 'dozer in action. 5The tracks are the best part, they are corrugatedThe bruder track-type tractor was delivered two days ago for my 2 year old son. However, my 6 year old was thrilled to bits when he saw it. Needless to say, it is he who has been playing with it, while my 2 yr old is back to playing with blocks and lurking around the TV waiting for it to be switched on so that he can watch Curious George, again.The tracks are the best part, they are corrugated, for lack of a better description, and the truck has a rake-sort of thing at the back - one look at it and "SAND PIT/ BEACH" is what jumps to mind. I think it is the perfect little toy to take to any place with sand/ mud because I see my son making tracks in our yard with it. The front plough can push sand, while the rake digs through it and the track make little indentations. In short, the bruder design optimizes a play toy, and grabs attention in terms of looks, feel and utility.The truck itself is well built, though I cant say how long it'll last, especially since I'll have a 6 yr old and (eventually) a 2 yr old playing with it, but I love that it's not plastic! 4disappointedFirst, it took a long time to receive the bulldozer.secondly, when it did arrive I was so disappointed in the size and all plastic parts. Maybe the ad said all plastic but I had ordered and received a Tonka Metal road grader ahead of the dozer. In comparison, the bulldozer is cheap looking and probably won't last very long. the dozer cost more than the grader. Just sick over the quality for the price. It is for my Grandson's birthday. Guess i will be apologizing to his parents. 2Not durable for 2 1/2 yr oldIts the beginning of February and the scoop already busted off this Christmas gift and I don't think I can even glue it back on. I would like to exchange it, but it's too late. My 2 1/2 year old son is sad. Also, there are little grips you place on the tracks to give them better traction, but they have all fallen out and disappeared. It really is lifelike, the tracks rotate very smoothly and make a good tractor sound on the hard floor, so it's not a bad toy, just sadly not durable for it's key customer. I paid 27 for this. 1Why does it break so easily???????I love Bruder and own 3 of their trucks. But this one is poorly designed. My son had had this 3 weeks and the smoke stack broke off and now the back part with the 3 hooks broke off. I dont know if I got a lemon? The other 2 Bruder items I have are over a year old and nothing is broken on them. Im sad that my son is sad its broken and seriously wont be considering Bruder in the future. I have already bought him a Fire Truck from a competitor and it works great. No broken parts either :) 2So Disappointed----DO NOT BUT THIS!!!I can not believe a manufacturer would produce a toy made so fragile...knowing this would probably be used by a little boy playing outside. I got this for Christmas for my 3 year old grandson....it has been too cold or muddy for him to take it outside since Christmas so he hasn't got to push dirt or play as a little boy would with this type of toy. Already the blade is broken into 2 pieces and broken where it attaches and 2 of the plow disc in the back are broken off. the back plow piece constantly comes off....the exhaust is broken off the tractor at the base....the tracks are starting to slip....this thing cost $31.99..as I remember.....a total waste of money unless you want to buy it for a model tractor and set it on a shelf just to look at!! 1Bruder Quality!!!!I cannot say enough great things about Bruder toys they are made in Germany and have such great quality and are very realistic.Our grandson loves all his Bruder trucks and diggers I first encounter the German line when our grandson was only a baby and a local toy store was having a sale, we have three girls so I was not very knowledgeable about what to get the first Grandson!I ask the owner what toys do people repeatedly buy for boys and ask for again and again and she showed me the Bruder line at first I was like ok they look sort of like old hard plastic not really tuff stuff looking, but we purchased the red and green dumb truck and what a purchase it has been.The grandson is four now and has hauled blocks, rocks sand and so on in his dump truck,the Bruder toys still look like new!He loved the caterpillar he got for Christmas he is in the process of building a road in the back yard and is asking for the Bruder Cement truck for his next Birthday. 5Awesome indoor toy, crappy sand toyThe tracks are both the best and worst part of this dozer. To explain, the tracks are made up of individual plastic pieces that are linked together (much like real tracks). Inside they work great. Zero problems on carpet and they don't fall off like stretchy rubber tracks do. It comes with little rubber inserts for the tracks to allow it to grip on slick surfaces. The tracks make a great clattering noise and look as much like the real thing as any toy I've seen. Great for pushing around indoor stuf (blocks, hotwheels cars, etc.).That said, the tracks aren't suited to outdoor play. Little pieces of dirt and sand get caught between the track links and jam things up. 4
