    Great dollGreat doll for a great price. We saw these at a local aquarium for almost triple the price. My daughter wanted one but I steered her towards something cheaper. She LOVES mermaids though and I felt guilty. Imagine my surprise when I found the exact doll she wanted for a third the price here. Needless to say, I ordered her a mermaid and she loves it! She seems to be made well and I love the yarn hair so it does not get all tangled. 5Super Sweet Mermaid Doll!My daughter has almost all of these Aurora Mermaid dolls - She plays with them everyday, and even takes the mermaids to bed with her at night!This was one of the most recent of the collection to join our mermaid family, and she is just as loved as all the rest!The toy itself is very pretty, and has stood up to some pretty exciting mermaid adventures! It seems well made, no loose strings or things popping off. The doll has nice features, sewn on, and a gorgeous shiny tail! There is one hard spot in each doll - where the torso and tail come together, but it is not a problem, actually it makes it easy to get the doll to "sit" on a "rock" like a real mermaid. She is 18" long - which is a great size!There have been endless hours of fun for my little one with this very sweet mermaid! For any little girl who loves mermaids, this can't be beat! The price is great too! 5Nice qualityCute little mermaid. I bought it as a gift for an 8-year-old girl who loves mermaids. The yarn hair is soft and the tail is darling. Very Sweet!My daughter received this mermaid - and another from the same collection after she wanted to sleep with her hard plastic tub toy mermaids - I surprised her with these sweet, soft mermaids for her to play and sleep with. She was SOOOO excited! She loves these dolls and plays with them daily and they go to sleep with her every night! These dolls are very pretty! They are sparkly and shiny and they are super soft!Construction of doll - I was somewhat surprised at the connection between the tail and the rest of the body - it feels like a small disc inside, but it doesn't affect the play or cuddliness of the doll. Her hair is made out of yarn, very nice quality, and soft. Body is a soft felted material, very cuddly. Her tail is a beautiful, sparkly material. She seems to be very well made and I believe she will last through all my daughter to put her through, over the next few years! Reasonably priced too!I highly recommend this doll to anyone who has a little girl who LOVES mermaids! 5She sitsMy daughter loves this doll & sleeps with her every night. It s very soft & cute. It should be noted that s she s made to sit. So she has a flat bottom & less fluff at the top of her tail. I wasn t expecting this from the description but still like the doll. 5Pretty and well made.I really like all of Aurora's Mermaid dolls, but I got this one specifically as a gift for my grand niece to go along with the book by Jan Brett, "The Mermaid." The mermaid in this book has black hair. It's well made and the hair is full and thick. I'll probably be getting more of their mermaid dolls as my toddler twin grand daughters get a little older. 5So cute!This is so cute and, thus far, quite durable. She's even been through the washing machine and came out with no more than tangled hair that was easily sorted. Very cute face, and I love that the yarn hair doesn't tangle easily. She can sit up as well, per the weighted bottom, which I didn't realize.One thing to note is that the gem is not sewn on - I thought I could snip some threads to take it off. It feels like an anchored button, though, like safety eyes, and my daughter has yet to be able to pull it off.I'd love to get more! 5Dinky tailMy 4 yr old is in love with mermaids and I've been looking for the perfect one. After reading all these raving reviews I ordered her one. What they dont tell you is how dinky the tail is. While the upper torso is thoroughly "stuffed" the tail is left limp, just hanging there. And because of lack of stuffing and the way it is sewn, the doll is in a permanent sitting position. The doll itself is very pretty and very well crafted. But without a full bodied mermaid tail, is it even really a mermaid? 1They are perfect for kidsI have 3 daughters and we have 3 different versions of this doll. They are perfect for kids! They are large enough to be huggable and easily carried. I love that they are soft and can be thrown around without causing pain - can't do that with Barbie dolls, you can poke out an eye or do other serious damage with those! Not cheap but the quality of these dolls is excellent. Amazing durability - thrown, pulled, yanked, stuffed into small spaces... not a thread out of place! The yarn hair is soft and thick and easy to finger comb out and resists tangles. And the different textures are great, the hair, skin, bodice, and tail are all different but feel nice. I highly recommend any similar doll by this maker. :) 5My daughter loves her new mermaid friend!My daughter is obsessed with mermaids! She's always asking if she's secretly a mermaid princess! So of course this was a HUGE hit! The doll is perfect size for a little girl to carry around or prop up on a shelf! 5
