Customer Reviews

This toy made my daughter love bathtime again! My daughter went through a phase around 16 months old where she screamed about getting in the tub. Every bath was a nightmare for her and for us, which was strange because she has always loved her bath before that. I decided to try getting some new toys for her to try to entice her back into the tub. She loves balls so this was a no-brainer purchase. It worked like a charm! First bath time, she didn't want to go in the tub, but she got right to the edge and played with the balls by throwing them into the tub. Two days later for our next attempt, she willingly let me put her in the tub so she could stand next to the hoop and put the balls into it. Third bath, she was sitting in the tub, playing with the balls and having so much fun with them that she didn't care that she was back in the water. Fast forward to three months later, and this is still one of her favorite bathtime toys. The hoop stays in place fairly well as long as the suction cup doesn't get wet. (We have an Aquaglass tub with smooth walls.) The balls do have a tiny hole in them so they can get water on the inside, so you should be aware that mold could grow inside the balls. We have not had any problems. 5Ok bath toy, but weak suction cupsThis thing is just ok. If you plan to store the 3 balls (or even just 2 of them) inside the net when not in use, just be aware that the suction cups are not strong enough to stay permanently attached to smooth bathroom tile. It comes loose after a couple days or so. Every single time. Which is sort of annoying. I don't understand why the manufacturer couldn't just design this product with larger, stronger suction cups. Having to constantly moisten and reattach the thing to the bath tiles is a bit of a drag. Granted, this is one of the lowest priced products available anywhere. Anything similar at a retails store is $12 or more, so I guess it's a tradeoff. If I could do it over I would have bought a more expensive one with better suction. 3Was a little disappointed that the balls had holes in themA littler smaller then expected! Was a little disappointed that the balls had holes in them, however used a lil hot glue to seal it up! Hope that last! Still cute and kids love it! 5highly recommend!my son loves to shoot hoops and i searched high and low for a bathroom hoop durable enough to withstand daily use. this is perfect! the balls are durable and a great size. i did cut the bottom of the net off so the balls drop thru due to my son being disabled and unable to get up in the tub without assistance. I found it works better regardless. safer than having the kids stand in the tub! i highly recommend this! 5Suction cups are a joke. Otherwise, nice toyBuying anything with suction cups is always a gamble, and one with low odds of success. But I got this anyway because I couldn't find any other alternatives for a bathtub hoop. Well, the suction cups are a total failure. Even on smooth wet tiles, they won't stay on for more than a couple of minutes, and that's if you don't touch them. So, impossible with a baby/toddler in the tub. Luckily we have one of those old ceramic soap holders with a handle built into the tiles on the wall, at just the right height, so I was able to tie the hoop to it. It's the only way it will not fall. It droops down now, but whatever... Better than nothing. My daughter loves it anyway, and loves putting all her bath toys through the hoop. I ended up cutting the bottom of the net to make it a true basketball basket so things could fall through. I don't understand the people complaining about that. All you need is scissors. The balls from this set have become my daughter's absolute bath-time favorite. No matter what other toys she has in the tub that day, she always asks for the balls, too. She has to hold them while I'm putting her pajamas on, too. She's obsessed with balls in general, and these are definitely her favorite, for some reason. I wish they didn't have holes (I'm always suspicious of mold), but on the other hand, she loves that they squish down pretty flat when she bites them, which wouldn't have been possible without the holes. No mold yet so we're happy. I just wish the damn suction cups would actually work! 3Definitely RecommendedThis is a great buy! I have almost 18 month old twin boys and they couldn't pull it off the bath tub/bath tub wall. Its a double hit in this house because it holds more than just the 3 balls it comes with (of which both of my toddlers LOVE the easy squeeze balls) so they can put their other bath toys in the net area to dry too. Though it has only been through one bath time so far, I'm impressed by the quality and durability, sometimes i will buy bath things/toys and I can't even get it to stick before they even play with it. So its worth the price and keeps them entertained. Eventually the suckers will have their day, but the balls are fun for them too, i recommend this so much that I'll probably buy another one! 5Fun, but fragile. Both of my boys are obsessed with balls. My older son holds onto a ball in his bed for comfort when he is not feeling well. This seemed like a perfect gift for him. Unfortunately, it would not stick to the tiles in our tub, which we thought was a chance. So, instead we set it up on the reinforced glass of our porch door, and let the kids have fun. They were having a good time, until their older sister went to pull it down to move it higher, and one of the suction cups held tight to the glass, and pulled free of the hoop. This was the first time it was ever moved, on the day we opened it.In looking at it, this seems like it would be a common problem. When you pull, the small amount of rubber backing condenses, and will wedge itself through the two prongs holding it. I was torn between returning it, or seeing about fixing it. Eventually, I took a butter knife, and pried it just enough that I could get the suction cup back on. . I then took Elmer's glue, flapped back the side of the suction cup, and filled the hole on both suction cups with the glue, and set it to dry. While this is a simple, fun toy, I would caution you if you are ever to move it, make sure you pull up the tab up on the suction cups to disengage it, vs trying to pull on the rim at all. . . unfortunately, that is a tough sell for smaller hands. 3Balls have holes in them. Potential mold growth. This would be an excellent bath toy if the balls didn't have holes in them that allowed my children to fill them up with water. This is a concern as it creates the perfect environment for mold growth. Otherwise, the children ages 2 and 6 love it. My daughter (2 years) is learning to throw the balls into the hoop. My son (6 years) loves filling them up with water and squirting them as well as practicing aiming for the little hoop. The hoop sticks well on our plastic fake tile shower wall, so no complaints there. 3My daughter loves this bath toy and it helps develop ...My daughter loves this bath toy and it helps develop her hand eye coordination. It's bright and colorful. The balls do not hold water so no risk of mold inside. Only reason I only gave 4/5 is that the suction cups don't always hold. 4We're pretty pleased with this purchaseWe're pretty pleased with this purchase. We've been looking for a fun toddler bath toy for a while now. I decided on this one based on the concept and price. The quality of the product is nice. My only complaint is the hoop is more of a net basket, without a hole. We ended up cutting a small hole/slit in the hoop so the balls go through. My son was getting frustrated with the balls being caught in the net, instead of falling through like a real hoop. After cutting the hoop, his frustration disappeared and he enjoyed the hoop with lots of laughter and smiles. I'd recommend this product, especially knowing it can be cut for the balls to go through. 4
